Slice Of Life Cafe in Isle of Wight

Looking for somewhere to eat and use for our regular eat when we are on the island and in Ryde. This will not be the place unfortunately. It says on menu 1/4 pound chicken burger. It hardly covered the standard size burger bun. Not worth h the £5.90 they charge and that is it if you want chips or anything that’s extra. Most of staff friendly, one member not sure if new but no idea how to process our order. The quest is still on for a nice place to eat in Ryde with our dog.

Lovely place the food is excellent the staff are absolutely lovely so friendly I don’t usually like going to places on my own but I enjoy going there only one downside I wish it was bigger it’s very popular and gets full up quickly xx

Nicely prepared and presented breakfast. We enjoyed it so much we went back for breakfast the next 3 days. OK you may have to wait a while if there busy but good food is worth waiting for. Ideal if you are staying at the nearby Travelodge.

14 elderly people, Greeted with “it won’t be quick and we close in an hour” not the best start, cup was dirty and stained, toilets were at the back of the kitchen and were not very clean, won’t be going back!

Popped into this cafe for breakfast as part of our day out on the Isle of Wight. Just perfect to set us up for the day. Lovely tasty breakfast, freshly prepared. Friendly staff and a really nice and relaxed feel to the place. Great value too. Would recommend.

Our usual place for breakfast was shut as the staff were attending the Isle of Wight festival Popped in and sampled the breakfast Large portions - my other half failed to finish his Bubble and squeek on the breakfast is different Staff were lovely including chef Leanne

Called in on the off chance with a dog, there appeared to be lots of locals in who all knew the staff, whilst the food was slow as there was only two staff working when the food and teas arrived it was very good! All the food was made fresh and the two girls working on Saturday 11th were very friendly and obliging!

Good food good quality food nothing to much trouble great value staff very friendly nice and clean easy parking near by home from home will go back

Very enjoyable lunch for large group of 10 with mix of kids and adults. Everyone happy and the prices were more than reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Met up with a friend I hadn't seen since before the Covid outbreak. I had my 15 month old grandaughter with me and at times she got a bit loud but nobody minded , everyone was so friendly and put themselves out to be helpful - such a change these days. The food was freshly prepared,very good, tasty and not expensive. My grand-daughter thoroughly enjoyed her fish finger sandwich. Will certainly be going again.

Everything freshly made, friendly staff and inexpensive. Decor in keeping with the island and quaint.

I come here often with my 2 year old son to meet friends & family whether it be for lunch or coffee and cake! Love that they use lavaza by far the best coffee in town! All food is cooked and made fresh by the owner Lesley, whom my little boy loves to see! It really is a lovely little cafe, right in the middle of Ryde town. I highly recommend popping in if you are looking for a nice lunch or even breakfast at a good price. Very clean and Bob who serves us when we are in usually is very welcoming attentive and helpful! Can’t rate this cafe enough :)

We only stopped by to use the loo, but ended up having coffee. Really welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and really good coffee. Will be back for breakfast and cake.

After having read some bad reviews I have to say after visiting i honestly wonder if they visited the same place we have. We ordered breakfast baps and tea for two. I have to say the food was outstanding, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Staff were very attentive. Whilst we were eating another table left and the gentleman that was serving and clearing, sanitized the table and chairs, amazing you don't actually see that in many places, it was lovely to see. Next time we are visiting the island we will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for a wonderful experience

Scampi and chips, all day breakfast, chilli nachos and beans on toast with an egg. Can't fault the meals here. Always clean. We have been several times. Staff are friendly too.

Always enjoy our food. We have become regulars. They are even participating in the 50% off government dining Mon-wed during Aug.

The food was cooked from fresh, therefore you had to wait a while for it. The menu is very basic but good value for the money. Its a no frills cafe, but if you want a cheap meal then its worth a visit.
