Just had the best quarter pounder & fries I've had in a long time!! Loads of freshly cooked fries. Burger with salad n red sauce was deelish...🍔🍟

Food always on point, fresh salads, chips that actually taste like potatoes and fast delivery

My sister ordered (in person) fish and chips yesterday from this restaurant. The staff did not say hello when we entered the store. My sister said they have poor customer service. There was no onion vinegar and no tar tar sauce. The chips tasted as if they were one day old and were very dry! The fish was disgusting! She felt sick when eating it. No napkins were offered as well! Do not bother ordering from this restaurant because if you do, you will be disappointed. Go to another fish shop instead.

Great fresh food, big portions, fast delivery. We had pizza, burgers amd kebabs and all was great. Definitely recommend.

I’d ordered a pizza from here for delivery, waited half an hour past the time it said it would be here, called them up to see how it was going they had said 2 delivery drivers had been to try deliver and called me many times, my phone number + email on the order were both correct and I never received any phone calls, I never once heard the door ring or anyone knock even though I was waiting in the front room, they’d said they left it outside so I grabbed it, the food was freezing cold, they had forgot the sweetcorn on my pizza I paid £3 paid to have added, and there was a slug in my pizza, very unhappy and was a frequent customer to Dalyan but am too grossed out of their hygiene levels that I will not be eating from here again , I have received my refund which I am grateful for, but I really do not understand why you would even think to leave it there ???

Placed order on the phone, waited 30minutes for delivery then called and said boss said we can’t do the order!

Great quality food and super generous portions! We ordered takeaway after a long day of cycling- got the special mix of doner, big fries and a pizza- and the food was so much it lasted us for two dinners and a lunch meal. Super tasty meat, definitely a good option for quick bite on IoW

Ordered a 1/2 Pounder Cheeseburger and a Wrap last night, girlfriend ate the wrap and has food poisoning this morning, this is not acceptable for a food establishment in cowes, there are unsanitary practices for sure. Edit to respond: All it takes for bad food quality is one food item to go out prepared wrong, you have tens of 1 star reviews and the fact that she is more ill than ive ever seen her shows something is bad. stop replying with "no our food is fine" and tackle your issues, you've been making people ill for years.

Such a shame I feel like every time I tried to give them one last chance! The chips are terrible! Either undercooked or to over cooked, sometimes they look like they are from the night before! And taste chewy. maybe change oil more then you are! For the prices you charge I would expect a good quality of food! It’s shame because you’ve lost my custom!

Dalyan dose great kebabs,wrapps,chicken shish,Burgers,and Chips, Fast, Hot and Delicious every Delivery you get a free pickled 😂.

Had a chicken and kofta wrap tonight with chips. Was bloody mega, by far the best kebab house on the island. Can't wait for my next visit. Cheers

Food was really Nice, ordered 2 Chicken kofta in a pitta breads 1 with all salad & 1 with salad and no onions both with chilli sauce. The chilli sauce was nice but not a sauce more like a paste but it tastes nice, and goes food with the chicken kofta. The Chips was decent too only complaint was the pitta bread was cut to thin and fell apart so I couldn't pick it up but the meat tasted great and the food was really good.

Pizza was nice, garlic bread pizza with cheese, no garlic or cheese so £ 14 for bread .

Cheesy chips were yuck chips tasted like been sitting there all day and cheese was tasteless

As a person I would say that £20 delivery Is wrong and should not be right, I just tried to place an order that was £14.50 but unfortunately he said they couldn’t deliver due to it being that amount but as business owner myself I would say anything over £10 is worth delivery as you are still making money

Charged me £20 for a donner cabbab. Last time I had a delivery it was warm food and the delivery man short changed me. Never again will I use them.

I'm not normally a big fan of kebab shops but this one surprised me. Food was really nice, had a kebab, wasn't even drunk and it still tasted good. The staff in there were nice and the wait wasn't to long at all. I live in Newport so I used to go to the kebab shop in the High Street, well dalyans smashed them out of the water, I look forward to going back next time I'm in cowes.

I think you would have more of a culinary experience rifling through bins for left over food than eating in this dive of a takeaway. Have some toilet paper ready, you are goiing to need it. Thats if you can keep it down long enough.

There is no dine in. The food was great. I ordered chicken nuggets where as my husband had a lamb kebab which was served along with really fresh salad. There isn't written 'halal' anywhere in or outside this shop. But the chef claims the lamb and chicken stuff to be halal.

Shocking food. We wouldn’t touch it. Offered it to my dog, he even turned his nose up. Ordered cheesy chips, next to no cheese, the chips looked and tasted 3 days old. Had nuggets for the children, they looked Albanian. Almost transparent. And shocking prices for food I wouldn’t feed to parliament.

I know you don’t go to a kebab house for superior quality food but that was terrible. I never usually review anywhere but so many hairs in the food is unacceptable. My partner came in to get my food and felt really uncomfortable as the staff were really rude and she felt unwelcome in there. We will never go back and I hope this review helps others to avoid making the same mistake!

Got a chicken wrap with bbq sauce and salad and a portion of cheesy chips all for £16 quid absolutely worth it

Just because this is laughable that they think it's acceptable to serve this type of food. We only wanted cheesy chips with a bit of bbq! The chips looked like they have been served to another customer that turned them down with a completely different sauce under the silly amount of bbq.

Unfortunately the only place in cowes to get a kebab. The most greasy kebabs I've had in 47 years. You can never eat the pitta as its always caked in grease.

Prices have recently gone up. Portion sizes and ingredient quality have gone down at the same time. One or the other would be understandable during these turbulent times, but both at once is very disheartening. I've been eating here regularly for years, and would prefer to think the place is struggling financially, rather than deliberately cutting corners. I hope to see a return of good value or decent quality soon.

Friendly staff, good opening times, tasty and generous doner kebab. Lots of fresh salad, good pickled chillies. All in all delivers what it says on the tin. Well done!

We have had many meals from here and my kids always ask for Dalyans. But can I say we have had the best pizzas to ok night we have ever eaten tonight. They were amazing and no leftovers for tomorrow lunchtime. Sad face but thank you ❤

Was not great here, salad tasted dirty and off and the meat was really grisly and quite flavourless. For what you pay the portions aren't very big either. The chicken wings were OK though and staff were friendly but I would not return.

Absolutely disgusting. We opted for this place because they were serving Halal chicken. Their oil is very bad and we have thrown all the food. Pizza was also stinking very strange. I dont like to give 1 star to any food place but this one sadly deserves it. Please improve your oil quality. We got small kids and don't want to attend A&E on a holiday.

Saw they were open till 12am, got to Dalyans at 11:10am and they were closed. Why are you shutting so early.

My experience during lockdown has been a rollacoster, hi in hambert local food critic I've reviewed today a cheese burger with lettuce red and white sauces and cheese, I have a degree in meat study and from my understanding the meat itself just seems to be a rustlers burger

Had a donner and it wasn’t great

On holiday with my 12 year old twins and we each had a Donner from here last night with garlic mayo and sweet chilli. They were really tasty and got a thumbs up all round. Really generous helping of meat and the salad was plentiful and delicious. I’d love to know what they dress their cabbage with. Fast food that felt naughty but wasn’t too sinful as we felt like we were on our way to our 5 a day. Highly recommended

Lovely chips large portions. The wrap was lovely and generously filled. The prices are a little bit on the high side but you expect that on holiday

3 separate days 3 large shush kebabs with sweet chilli and garlic sauce, all salad and coleslaw. All fantastic, no need to say anymore.

We were seeking Fish & Chips following a day in the water and this was the only one open.......the food was cooked to order which took a while but that’s ok, better to wait than have something that’s been hanging about for ages. The fish itself was tasty and moist but the batter was stodgy, heavy, greasy and undercooked. 2 more minutes in hotter oil would have made all the difference. The chips were hot but not crunchy enough and lacked seasoning despite having salt & vinegar applied by the staff. The sausage & chips were ok, not the best quality sausages but that’s normal for fast food takeaway. All in all not bad, not great and have had better.

Very poor quality pizza, the pizza was stuck on the top of the box and cold when I rang and wanted my money back and not a replacement as it took them 50 mins to deliver but as expected no refund and rude man on the phone, fish and chips was soggy as long wait very disappointed £20 wasted wouldn’t order again

Had 2 takeaways - pizzas and then fish and chips. Delivery for one which was quick and still hot. Collected the other which was cooked to order and great portions. Recommend

Have gone to dalayan for years and always have the same order, usually it is perfectly pleasant and the staff are cheerful. Today however, I was overcharged, given lukewarm food and basically had the bag thrown in my face. It’s upsetting to be treated with such rudeness and after this experience, I won’t be coming back again.

Smallest lamb shish kabab I've had in all of the UK, 4 pieces of lamb and a ton of lettuce.....

We use Dalyan everytime we decide to have a take out, they're food is amazing, & has definitely improved since the earlier reviews, whether they've new ownership since around late 2018ish I don't know - but they've never let us down. The website is really easy to use, dead simple, the food always arrives lovely & hot & they use paper type boxes instead of those awful polystyrene type ones that take out restaurants generally use that melt all over your food. I love Dalyan & will always & forever use them as their food & great customer/delivery service is second to none.

We ordered a chicken fillet burger and a veggie pizza (heavy on the mushrooms) to take away at 1145 on a Friday night. Pizza was well cooked with a ton of mushrooms and the chicken burger was delicious. 10/10 would recommend!

Ordered online, got to and then past delivery estimate, gave it an extra 10 mins on top then gave them a ring to see if it was out for delivery and they hadn’t even done the order!!! It had been missed entirely so was told it would be done straight away and sent out....still hadn’t turned up nearly an hour from original delivery time, once it arrived, it was hot which was a good start but that’s as good as it got unfortunately; we had ordered fish and chips...the chips were ok..but the fish was awful!! Batter wasn’t cooked properly (really wet and under cooked under the batter really really greasy (it hadn’t been drained properly) and the fish was equally as greasy.....overall a really disappointing meal - an hr late and then not even cooked right....wish we hadn’t bother paying!! don’t think we’ll be eating there again for a while.

Food order wrong, took ages to come, wasn't nice, worst take away we've probably ever had.

As a family we were suffering a terrible first day at Thorness Bay caravan park, we ordered food minutes before restaurant close but were refused service, the onsite shop was shut and there was nothing nearby. Tired, angry and upset, we sent an SOS to Dalyan kebabs to bring us food!!! These guys were brill! Great humoured and had food too us within half an hour!! I cant thank them enough for feeding us when we thought we were going to starve lol. Food was lovely as well! Thank you so much guys! Would definitely use again.

Didnt fancy cooking on our first night of holiday and both fancied a kebab.Googled nearby places and this showed up first.What a find.One Donner and one Chicken kebab later... 2 full and well satisfied bellies! If we lived here it would be a regular for a treat.Meat was great and plentiful.Service was prompt and polite.Highly recommend

One of the best kebab house on the isle of Wight , this is the only kebab house that serves in biodiagreble boxes !

All kebabs cooked to order so allow 10 minutes, except in Cowes Week when slices of donner are just kept hot (due to the huge increase in turnover in that week). Like all SHISH (not the other prepared meats) kebabs they are freshly grilled and come with fresh salad, so are very healthy. I advise not to eat donner kebabs. OK, I eat them sometimes, but not often (honest). This place also cooks chips, battered mushrooms, sausages, etc., and can act as a chippy at this end of town.

Can't say you've been to Cowes without going here

Went here on a busy evening. Service was aggressive and abrupt. Order was forgot. Once reminded the order was thrown together in seconds. Food was poor. Would not recommend

I have been going to this place so long it's a part of my life lol

Just wanted some simple cheesy chips... The chips were cold thick 'fish and chip's style, which were then covered in cold cheese, scooped up by a man with his bare hands. No melting, cold and rubbish. Oh and they forgot any seasoning. For the most basic basic thing to be so wrong is something special.

Pizza was yummy. Staff were polite and friendly. And it was open late on a Saturday night so I was happy.

Used to use dalyans all the time and used to be lovely just been in for a small kebab and the meat was burnt and crispy nearly broke a tooth! Wish I never bothered I’d steer clear if I was anyone

I used to regularly use Dalyan kebabs But visited in may and orderd meat feast pizza and a doner kebab never knew onion counted as meat ! Nearly all the topping was onion !Had to pick off most of that but ended up chucking half in the bin !Kebab was disgusting had to chuck it ! A shame as there food used to be really nice ! The staff are unfriendly in the shop Won't be back I'm afraid !

Probably the best kebab shop on the Isle of Wight. The staff speak little English but are friendly and helpful. You have to pay an extra 70p for card transactions but the food is impressive everytime I have been. The meat is flavoursome and tender which is unfortunately a rare occurrence here on the island. The salad is fresh and crisp and everything is cooked in front of you. The selection on the menu is extensive catering to any taste and at a reasonable cost. Definitely well worth a visit as a cheap quick meal or even on a drunken stroll back from a night out.

I think this has to be the best drunk food I've ever eaten.have the hot and spicy pizza, squirt some garlic sauce on it, it's incredible. For a British style doughy greasy takeaway pizza it's the best. I've only every eaten here drunk but I have done for nearly 20 years and I've never ha a bad pizza. I did once loose a pizza. It was new years and it was so busy they gave out numbers, unfortunately I woke up with a number but no pizza, what a silly boy
