Great oven baked pizzas! I got to try a new vegetarian pizza and can really recommend it (i.a. artichoke, pine nuts, sultanas). The owner and pizza baker is also super kind.
If you go to the Isle of Wight you have to visit the lovely late night Donut Hut. It is perfect for a visit after a visit to the Chine. The litte huts have twinkly lights creating a magical atmosphere after dark. The pancakes are especially great. Highly recommended.
I don't normally leave reviews but feel I must do here. This is an awesome little cafe with the most accommodating staff you could wish for. If you're passing by, stop off for a full English. You won't be disappointed.

I recently visited Lookout Cafe and was thoroughly disappointed by the disgraceful and rude behavior of the Lady(may be owner). From the moment I walked in, it felt as though I was an inconvenience rather than a customer. The person behind the counter was dismissive and barely acknowledged my presence, making me feel unwelcome.
The overall service was shockingly poor, with showing a complete lack of basic courtesy and professionalism. Even simple requests were met with eye rolls and sighs, creating a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere.
It's clear that customer service is not a priority here, and I left feeling thoroughly disrespected. I would not recommend this place to anyone who expects to be treated with common decency.
The man was Utterly RACIST. I couldn’t tell every bits of conversation was made here - however contacting the local council to have a decent check on them.
We stopped here for a welcome break on a rainy walk to the Needles. We followed the cheery sign from the footpath and were delighted to find the cafe kiosk and outdoor/indoor comfortable seating area. We had excellent barista coffees and locally produced soft drinks with homemade cakes (including a fantastic gluten free chocolate shortbread). Cheered us up for the last little bit of the walk!
We stumbled across Warren farm shop and coffee on our way to the needles. What a find! The owners were absolutely lovely, the coffee was divine, the food was freshly made and delicious. Great setting for kids and older adults alike. We left our cars and walked over the hill to the needles which was so much nicer than had we parked in the Needles car park. Could not rate this place more highly we came on consecutive days as we loved it so much!
As in most years, myself and a friend went to the Island for five days in October to attend the Isle of Wight Bus Museum's running weekend.
One evening, we were heading towards the Crab Inn for an evening meal (it was around 7.30pm) and passed this cafe on our way.
We were aware of it being there, but assumed that like most cafe's it would have opened early in the morning and closed in the middle of the afternoon. Not so. This cafe stays open till around 8.00pm.
We decided to give it a bash. We were warmly greeted by a most personable lady (presumably the owner) and sat down. The menu was as expected, not pretentious in any way, but quite comprehensive and with a number of daily 'specials'.
We were served with a couple of very nice meals, both delicious and hot. Just what the doctor ordered. The added bonus was the sheer value. We honestly think you will struggle to find such reasonable prices anywhere else in Shanklin, or indeed the whole Island for that matter. We will certainly return when we are next on the Island. Thoroughly recommended.
We were so glad to get a table for myself husband & Daughters on a busy saturday morning.
The full english breakfasts we ate were absolutely spot on.
The food was cooked to perfection & you get so much for the price.
I would advise anyone to go for the Copper Kettle full english it's truly delicious.
We will definitely visit again when we come to the island.
Carry on the great work guys!!
We arrived at 3.30pm for tea and light snacks en route back to our holiday cottage. 4 adults and two dogs. We were at first impressed by the lovely views and sat down to peruse the menu. A man called Paul arrived at our table and immediately looked at his watch and said you having got a lot of time to order any food , I enquired what the last time for ordering food was and he said he would have preferred we had arrived earlier, as 4pm was the sort of time they wanted to stop food. We were there at 3.30pm prepared to spend about £50.00 with snacks and drinks but his face looked angry as he shrugged his shoulders when I reminded him it was only 3.30pm. So annoyed at their overpriced snacks and tea at £2.80 per person we decided that this establishment did not warrant our custom or money beyond a drink as I was with my 82 year old relatives who needed a drink. We had the tea and left. Paul if your cafe is doing so well that you can turn trade away then thank god you have a view as there would be nothing else to bring tourists to your cafe / team room.
Give this place a miss , they don’t need the custom and your not missing anything either.
The team at The Llama Tree could not have been more helpful and friendly when we asked if we could host part of our wedding there. We love West Wight Alpacas, just over the driveway, and we thought how wonderful it would be to feed our guests pizza after an experience feeding (and walking!) the animals. We struggled to choose from the pizza menu because everything sounded delicious! So the team did an even split of all their topping options and honestly, I'm still struggling to pick a favourite! Us, our families and our friends all enjoyed their pizza and audibly agreed with an Aunt when she said 'this is the best pizza outside of Italy!' The Llama Tree team decorated their space with very pretty wedding decorations and set the table beautifully. They kindly boxed up leftovers which did not last long - enjoyed and complimented again as an evening snack... and once more for breakfast! Thank you to all at The Llama Tree and West Wight Alpacas for making our first day as husband and wife so memorable!
Amazing restaurant very attentive attention to detail amazing the food was beyond expectations we was recommended to come here and wasn’t disappointed would highly recommended it
This is a lovely traditional tea room set in the former home of Victorian photographer Julia Margaret Cameron near Freshwater Bay. The food and service were very good and the tea room is dog friendly for those with furry friends! We found the staff were very friendly & helpful. There is also a museum within the same building although we didn't visit this - hopefully next time. Just a word of warning the car park is relatively small so you may have to park on the road if full but don't let that put you off visiting this great place. We look forward to our next visit.
Such rude staff member made to feel unwelcome by a load of gossiping old ladies. Old outdated over priced. Very unprofessional and food hygiene looks terrible
