Nice little shop at high street with cozy backyard setting. Family run shop with amazing people. They have a pretty backyad where you can have your tea in sun. Scone was really good and we liked the tea pot too. Tea was good and served quickly. Owner also asked if we wanted butter and if we wanted butter to be warmed... pretty warm experience tbh.

Responding to reply from owner - I visited AUGUST 2020 and I have now attached photos of being sat in the garden and of the DEFINITELY curdled hot lumpy milk I was initially (photos 3-4) served which was frankly shocking as someone who works in coffee. The first two photos are the subsequent coffee I was kindly remade. If this company has changed ownership since I visited then I apologise for the wrong business review and will definitely remove my review. In which case, I will be come by for a coffee when I visit the island in a few weeks time and would love to meet you then :). If the business has not changed ownership, then this IS a true representation of my experience in AUGUST 2020. Came in for a coffee, lovely staff and back garden with umbrellas. My coffee was not edible first time round (almost definitely off milk), but it was kindly sorted by the ladies at the counter when I returned it no problems. So, thank you for being so lovely. I would go back for some of the yummy cakes :)

I came in with a group of friends and was rudely refused service because of their busyness. Whilst I understand that things can get busy, I was shocked at the abruptness and lack of courtesy in the exchange had with the staff. We're quite laid back and would have happily waited but instead were expected to just leave. Even just an apology would have been fine, but there was none. Very disappointed, won't be back and I hope others don't have the same experience.

We were passing through Ryde yesterday and came upon this cafe by chance. We saw 'vegan options' on the blackboard and that sold it for us. We had soy coffees, chocolate cake and coffee cake. We were not disappointed. Large coffees and a generous portion of cake. Everything was delicious. The cafe was warm and comfortable. Had a great ambiance, with nice music playing. Really friendly staff, it looks like a family run place. Prices were really good too. There were also other vegan option on the menu too. Can definitely recommend this place.

I came here with my friend so he could try a cream tea for the first time and we certainly weren’t disappointed! Definitely recommend sitting outside, it was lambretta weekend so we could hear the hustle and bustle of ryde but it was still quiet and secluded. We both had the freshly homemade cherry scones, which we ended up going back for seconds for! We ended up staying about 10/15 mins after the shop closed (we didn’t know this until we left) but we weren’t made to feel rushed out the door or no longer welcome by staff :)

I have reviewed this place before and felt I needed to do so again. My sister who is Vegan came on our trip to Isle of Wight this time and I was dreading trying to find somewhere to eat. We popped into Coffee nut as I desperately needed a cup of their lovely coffee and was delighted to find they had a scrummy chocolate cake that just happened to be vegan. Well after a soya latte and a large slice of chocolate cake my sister was very happy and would recommend this place to anyone wanting vegan cakes.

Came in for a soup and sandwich. There were only the two of us in the whole place. The waitress had to come check with us which bread (brown or white which we had said when we first ordered) for which sandwich. She still got it wrong. I belatedly saw the board which said soup was a commercial brand (ie, tinned). Never again.

This unassuming place had been on my list for some time for giving a try. When I went in, my only regret was leaving it too long!Lovely atmosphere and welcome, the spacious mellow seating area was most inviting. The highlight was the wonderful soup, purpose made by one of the staff. It was everything a soup should be - full of subtle flavours, and oozing a feeling of comfort and nourishment. Perfect for an autumn day, but ideal I'm sure for any season.I thoroughly recommend this place - I declare it the prime soup venue of Ryde!

I don't like gluten free but was convinced it was really good. Well it was not good...it was amazing best lemon cake I have ever had! Drizzled with lemon on top and a creamy filling with thick lemon curd in the middle..divine. Lovely cappuccino really creamy froth instead of loads of bubbles. Stopped for a cream tea which the wife enjoyed. Usual 2 scones provided with jam and clotted cream and a good pot of tea. They normally do Gluten Free cream tea but due to high demand had sold out of GF scones. They were however able to supply GF cheese scones so I had a savoury version of cream tea, 2 GF cheese scones, a tomato chutney and a cream cheese. Was very nice and would recommend.

Stopped here for tea and we're so glad we did. Loose leaf tea in a china tea pot (not one of those awful stainless steel ones that dribbles all over the table), a tea strainer, china cups and saucers and a china milk jug - this is how tea should be served. The Bakewell slice and chocolate cake were both delicious and the portions very generous. The friendly welcome and engaging staff added to the enjoyment. Looking forward to the next visit.
