Nice cooked breakfast. Excellent bacon, but no black pudding.

A very poor coronation chicken baguette. Tasted nothing like coronation chicken im afraid. I wont be going back.

Lovely staff, good food. Can reserve tables. Better if you can phone through prior to time and request food. This is the East Cowes Worker's cafe of choice and it gets really busy 0930/10 when workers are on lunch or tea break.

Lovely strong decent coffee, good prices. Hot drinks came with complimentary custard creams which is something that happens so rarely nowsdays! Lovely people that run this cafe. The sandwich options look excellent too.

We have been to the Lunch Box multiple times for breakfast or lunch, both eat in and take away - it's always good and the staff are friendly.

Lovely staff. Nice atmosphere. Difficult disabled access. Not dog friendly. Basic diets catered for. Outdoor seating, small indoor area. Lovely hot drinks.

Gains a star as it's cheap, loses one for the state of the toast and bacon. Stopped in for a breakfast, mega is £8.95 so not bad but no drinks included or black pudding available. Ordered a tea to come with the breakfast and it arrived with half a sausage a slice of bacon and two mushrooms left on the plate. Nice coffee, lady behind the counter was very friendly. Toast was terrible, pale, soggy and inedible. Maybe if you provide butter rather than pre buttering it might stand up better? Toast has to crunch. There was also something wierd and rubbery about the egg whites. All in all has to be a 4 rather than 3 because the lady was nice and it's a jolly place to sit and pass the time. I doubt I'll be back for another breakfast though, even with the thin pickings for a fry up in East Cowes.

Everything you want from a cafe, they couldn't have been more helpful. They met all our - very varied - requirements, with a smile on their faces. Fresh delicious food and excellent value. Highly recommended

Wow this cafe was such a lovely little find whilst we waited for our ferry back to the mainland. The service was so friendly and welcoming, they even came to deliver sandwiches to us outside on the bench! My iced coffee was absolutely incredible, I didn't want it to end. The sandwiches and baguettes were full to the brim and absolutely delicious, well worth a visit.

Good selection of food, all prepared well and tasted delicious. Great area as it is close enough to stop by before going on the ferry or if your a local it has a nice community feel.

Nice bacon baguette and good coffee with a malted milk biscuit! Slow ordering, slightly quicker serving and no dogs allowed - lost a star on each count!

What a lovely find this was. We were on our way to Osborne House and decided a breakfast treat was in order and found The Lunch Box Cafe. It was all clean and tidy and Covid safe. We had a wonderful, well cooked, tasty breakfast. Obviously a popular place as phone was ringing off the hook with orders and people were q'ing to get in. If we come back to the IOW this would be on the list for a return visit.

Spur of the moment decision to stop in East Cowes for lunch and what a pleasant surprise to find The Lunch Box. Clear instructions re Covid precautions and very extensive choice of sandwich and baguette fillings.......took us ages to decide! Chicken, brie and cranberry baguette was amazing and so generous. Coffee delicious too. Prices very reasonable. Staff welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Sorry can't leave much of review as I went there for breakfast and apparently they only do breakfast until 12pm and I was got there at 12.05pm. I find this a bit odd. Any way went across the road to Seabreeze cafe and they were more than happy to serve me and the food was nice too. Sorry Lunch box but I'll be using seabreeze from now.

Walked in, waited. Wasnt acknowledged, so I left. Shame as menu looked lovely.

Ordered baguettes. The lady had been cleaning the benches, then made one baguette without washing her hands. The man made the other and also didn’t wash hands. Both also used their fingers to add the fillings.

Had 2 English breakfasts and they were brilliant. Only this I'd say is the bread used for the toast could be better quality. Service was friendly. They don't take card so make sure you have cash. Teas and coffee were as expected. Breakfast really was very good quality! :)

Very convenient quick lunch before catching the ferry. Friendly service, but server had no knowledge about gluten-free foods when I asked. I ordered a baked potato which was fine, but the server thought I wouldn’t be able to have butter because I ordered a gluten- free meal. Training issues evident.

Nice cafe, opening hours historic ally have been a bit hit and miss, but when open serves a really good cup of coffee. Visit somewhat spoiled by huge clouds of smoke from the kitchens, use the ventilation guys! But for that it would've been a five star rating.

The food is always good here. The staff are warm and welcoming and its very clean! Its the only café that I would use in East Cowes.

Food is ok .. phone orders give your self extra 5 min to collect .. ie want food by 10 order it for 9.50 to be safe .. Other then that.. nice cafe

Family of five was warmly welcomed and accommodated on a busy Saturday morning. Ordered food and drinks which all arrived within a reasonable time frame cosidering they were busy. Food all good, drinks good also as per the menu and our order. V friendly service and staff.

I had a toasted teacake which was supposed to be with 'butter'. It clearly wasn't butter! A disappointing visit to what looked like a nice cafe

Perhaps an underpowered grill caused our undercooked but dried out toast and teacake which was not improved by the use of tasteless margarine rather than butter.

Stopped for a lovely breakfast here today, great food and fast service. Loved the old china tea set.

I took my 3 daughters for breakfast on Friday morning. We had a couple of full English breakfasts and some breakfast baguettes. The service was good and everything was cooked fresh to order. It was just over £26 for the 4 of us including drinks. The Lunch Box is a delightful cafe serving great food. Well worth a visit.

Totally scrummy place to eat whilst waiting for the ferry. Packed into take away boxes when we had to leave to catch our ferry. Great service.

I come here all the time and I must say I really really enjoyed the food especially the big breakfast you get all fresh ingredients and for the price is so worth it. Defiantly coming here every lunch time love love love the staff very polite and kind always have a smile on their face and very friendly.

Lovely little place! We missed our ferry so decided to go into town for breakfast! Needed something tasty and fast! Did not disappoint! Food was delicious and came out in perfect timing!

I own a shop in East Cowes I was busy and the lunch box popped my food order to me. My food(jacket potato ) was lovely and loads of filing and salad. Definitely will use again!

We always end our holiday here as the excellent breakfast fills us up for the day! The portions are generous, and both veggy sausages and non veggy version are tasty The meal is served with a drink and a good portion of toast made with home made bread. I bought a loaf to take home it was so delious. There is also a tasty looking lunch menu but we have not tried this. The tables had a fresh rose on all of them
