Da Vinci Restaurant & Bar in Isle of Wight

Amazing food and service. My mum and I visited the Isle of Wight and I had read that this restaurant served gluten free food. We didn’t see that they had decided to close for lunch that day so I was so so disappointed as I had driven there for that reason. They decided to serve just my mum and me so we had the whole restaurant for ourselves, it was just the kindest thing and so so appreciated. The food was amazing. What a incredible service just truly grateful. Best place to eat.

Well all i can say is amazing. My wife and I went for dinner about a month ago for our wedding anniversary and had such a great meal, so when it came to my wife birthday it was where we were going. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is delicious I didn’t tell anyone it was for her birthday meal with the family but while we were talking someone heard , at the end of our lovely meal a plate turned up with a pudding and happy birthday written in chocolate and candles , wow how nice

The food was absolutely incredible! I can definitely say this is one of the best meals I’ve had in my life! The staff were also very attentive. Highly recommend

First time to Da Vinci and it won't be the last. The restaurant is modern, clean with little Mediterranean touches. I had the BBQ pizza which was very tasty thee was enough for two! My daughter had the smoked haddock risotto which was delicious and cooked to perfection. We couldn't resist the cheesecake and tiramisu and they certainly didn't disappoint . The staff were very friendly and attentive. I'm not one to write food reviews but I am all for supporting local businesses in which highly recommend this establishment. We will definitely be back

We had a meal there Thursday evening. I had paella which wasnt great as the seafood particularly prawns were rubbery and over cooked, but what really should have set a red flag to me but sadly didnt were the mussels. It was strange at the time as half of them were boiling hot and half were stone cold. I stupidly ate them. Literally 3 hours later I had violent stomach ache, the runs and being sick which has carried on until today saturday. I have been there several times in the past but getting a dose of food poisoning because of the way the food was cooked and delivered has definitely made sure I unfortunately won't be there again :(

Lovely atmosphere and great menu. The staff were excellent and really looked after us. The food was superb, I can thoroughly recommend the scallops and bruschetta! You must visit, it’s a little gem.

We came here for our Dad’s birthday meal. The service was excellent, and the food was exceptional. My two children were with us too and made to feel so welcome. We visited this restaurant tonight and the food was excellent. The starter was rather large but very nice. The mains very large and again very nice. Lovely little waitress very friendly and helpful. You cannot fault the food it was very fresh and hot. I have no hesitation recommending this restaurant to anyone. We will definite be back

I have not got a bad word to say about this place, the size of the portions were amazing for the price, the service is brilliant and polite. Callum in particular was amazing, it was my 20th birthday and he made sure we were always looked after. The birthday dessert was absolutely incredible and I have never been so accommodated in a restaurant before. I would recommend everyone to go here for the service and food alone, it is everything you could want and more ! ❤️

We were staying in Newport for a short break and liked the look of both the venue and the menu so booked a table for our first evening. We were warmly welcomed by Rachel and shown to our table all the while enjoying pleasant and informative interaction with her. When the food arrived it was superb and we cleared our plates completely !! Having enjoyed it so much we decided to visit again for my wife’s birthday 2 evenings later and received an equally warm welcome from Callum. Again we were not disappointed and enjoyed another excellent meal with great service with my wife enjoying the complimentary cocktail which Callum mixed for her. Thank you all for 2 great evenings.

Popped in for lunch. Rachael, our waitress, was cheerful and helpful. We had the most amazing meal. Met the lovely chef. Left very happy. Would highly recommend. Not the cheapest but certainly worth every penny for their excellence and quality of service and food.

We were celebrating an anniversary and were so glad we chose Da Vinci’s . The food was freshly cooked and really delicious, and the service from Callum was perfectly judged. Cocktails were great too. This is a restaurant that is family owned and an amazing addition to the Isle of Wight eating out experience. If you want a great meal, with perfect service you can’t do better x

Booked this for a birthday meal after seeing reviews and hype on inst/Facebook! Very disappointed, no atmosphere, only two other tables in on a Friday night. Very overpriced for average food and average service! The head waitress very abrupt, felt like we were her kids at dinner time! Surprised she turned a party of 2 and a party of 8 away at 9.10pm saying the kitchen was closed! Paella was nice and pudding was tasty, overall experience very disappointing. Prices reflect a fine dining experience, won’t be returning.

Three of us had Kleftico lamb which was beautifully cooked and a chef speciality. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The decor and ambiance was a very pleasant experience and I'd definitely go back again. Only downside was an extremely rude group who were very loud and insulting to the staff, bringing one of them to tears. I think they were looking for a free meal, because they'd virtually cleared everything off their plates before they started their tirade. Still, it added a free floor show for us, although not pleasant for the very polite staff who had to manage the group.

Went for a meal last week at Da Vinci Restaurant in Newport with some friends, had an amazing evening. The food could not be faulted and was cooked to perfection, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downfall was a table of eight people, who were very rude to the staff and had a young waitress in tears. We have eaten in Da Vinci on many occasions and have never had a bad meal, great place to eat, highly recommend if you want a great evening.

I cannot believe how terrible this place was. We ordered 2 pints of Madri and it tasted like vinegar. Starters tasteless King Prawn Volcano, no flavour. Spanish Paella was a microwaved dish with chicken that was rubbery, wasn't chewable and wasn't cooked that day. When we complained the Manager shrugged his shoulders and walked off and stood with a table of customers who he knew and one of them shouted Northern pauper W**Kers and the manager laughed. I have never been in a place under staffed and rude in my entire life.

We had originally booked another Italian but this was recommended by the hotel we are staying in. What a treat, amazing food, we had the salmon bruschetta to share which was one of the specials along with the most amazing paella also another special & my husband had a chicken pasta which he loved. We didn't have room for a dessert but had spotted a fab coffee machine earlier so we order 2 lattes. Our 7 year old was also with us & she had a kids pizza which was amazing & really generous size for a kids pizza. All portions to be honest were on the larger side & we loved the food & the atmosphere. Our server Callum, was funny, honest & made a huge effort with our daughter with an iced glass of water which had strawberries & lemons in it which she loved. It was just an extra touch but he also had a great sense of humour & convinced me to order a bottle of prosecco rather than a glass in such a funny way. Oskana was also working with him & she was polite & really helpful. They both make such a good team together. So delighted we chose here rather than our previous choice of restaurant as such a gem of a restaurant., amazing food & fantastic restaurant. We look forward to returning ❤️
