We visited while on holiday. We're a tricky group to cater for with one of us having a severe nut allergy, another being gluten free and one being gluten and dairy free. The lovely woman serving was knowledgeable about allergies and able to give advice on which freezer to choose from to avoid allergens. The youngest child in our group had a chocolate waffle cone, ice-cream and flake. The gluten and dairy free child was thrilled to have a tub of dairy free ice cream in a gf waffle cone. All were delicious. I was after a gf and dairy free hot chocolate and although she didn't have soya milk told me about the cafe round the corner that did. We were all very happy with our choices and the really helpful customer service we received. Also loved the ice-cream dress. Thanks

I have reviewed this place before and been positive about the ice cream, just not so much the smiles from what was a man. Well now there is an absolutely lovely lady running the place. She seems to be doing so single handedly, but what a refreshing person. Happy to have a random chat and good sense of humour. Customer service is great. Okay, so there are occasionally longish queues, but it is so worth it. The ice cream and service is brilliant. We did have one disaster of a day when not a single ice cream place in Yarmouth had chocolate ice cream and my daughter had a meltdown, but I mentioned it to the lady and she was making an extra effort to ensure she had some for future, and she did just that. The ice creams can come in a variety of different cones and can come in a various number of scoops. One scoop itself is a good size. No scrimping involved. Large variety of flavours, including sorbets. The place also does milkshakes (these are amazing and addictive!). I had sooo many mint choc chip ones you’d think I was going to turn into one. Also tried a chocolate one which was good. This place also does fruit smoothie things; when I asked for one the actual fruits weren’t available but she made me a sorbet version and it was soooo good I was not disappointed. People in the queue outside were commenting on how amazing my drinks looked. If you want a cold can of drinks, they do water in cans and Diet Coke (cold ones are in fridge behind counter so just ask). Drinking cold water from a can was a real treat for my daughter who only drinks water. They still have a couple of tables and chairs outside and a little bin inside. Still opens to a time with an ‘ish’ at the end but we found it still open gone 5pm every time we went. I can’t talk about how good this place was highly enough! Thank you! PS - the lady told me she was struggling to get staff so if you’re in the area and need a job, go in and have a chat. Apparently they wanted to do pizzas too but haven’t been able to start yet. Come on guys… let’s help make it happen! If the pizza is as good as the ice cream, we’ll be in for a treat!

We stopped off here to get our Labradoodle an ice cream, they have the Vanilla Dog ice cream in here and also offered a gravy bone to stick in it as a flake. He loved it! You can sit inside even with your dog. We were soon tempted ourselves so ordered two coke floats, delicious. We chatted to the owners whilst in there, they were so nice. We would definitely recommend this place, very clean inside, great selection of New Forest Ice Cream and most importantly they make you and your dog super welcome. Thank you so much

A liitle difficult to find in the Yarmouth back streets but worth the effort. Not as much choice as anticipated but very tasty. But at 2.20 for a single cone is a bit pricey, especially if catering for a family.

A great variety of ice cream available and all taste lovely. I particularly like the millionaires shortbread and the kids the chocolate ice cream with a flake. It's not cheap but not a lot is in Yarmouth. They tend to stay open until around 5pm...I say around as it varies. We tend to go about 4:30pm and sit outside on the small tables; we find at that point they start the closing process around us. That can be a little off putting cuz it feels like they are trying to get rid of you, but it becomes normal if you go often enough. They have stayed open later when events are on. There isn't much conversation in the shop. The man never looks particularly happy. I did once see a smile when my young daughter went in by herself and asked if she could use a bin, but you get what you ask for and there is never any grumble from us over portion size. I much prefer ice cream from here over the ice cream shop near the pier. Service is certainly quicker. They also do milkshakes, coffee and other stuff but I simply go for ice cream in a cone or pot. So if you are in Yarmouth, defo go to Scoops for an ice cream. Just don't be put off by the lack of smiles and make sure you go by around 4:45pm; your ice cream will be worth it.

I frequently take my daughters down to Yarmouth to visit family and Scoops is always on the agenda, irrespective of the weather. Given the price of Magnums these days, I don't consider £2 for a good-quality ice cream of any one of a wide range of interesting flavours to be anything other than a fair price.Between us, we must have tried around 10 of the flavours on our "holiday" this Summer - the kids have a new favourite in the Millionaires Shortcake flavour whilst I'm torn between the ridiculously good Gin & Tonic sorbet and much sweeter Jaffa Cake ice cream. Our stays in Yarmouth aren't complete without Scoops, and for that reason it has to get 5 stars.

Stopped for ice creams before we got the ferry. Hot day. Busy shop. Nowhere to sit indoors because they’d pushed all the chairs together. Prompt friendly customer service. I chose a chocolate sprinkle waffle cone which I was very excited about. Had two scoops: millionaires shortcake and lotus biscoffi. Both yummy (£4.50). Husband had banoffee and millionaires in plain waffle cone (£4) and daughter had one single scoop of strawberry in a cup with sprinkles £3!! We knew ours were pricey but had been expecting hers to be £2. Too hot to argue.

The man serving was really off with us.... instead of replying when we asked the price just pointed at a notice which didn't actually show the price of the tubs... then looked really miffed when the child with us changed her mind before he started the order... The bubble gum flavour was a very strong chemical taste. Although I loved the ginger ice cream I would not go here again as service was so poor, felt as if we had put him out by actually wanting to buy something :(

Expensive for what you get but tasty and a good choice. Not keen on the sign asking parents not to let their children touch the glass of the freezer unit. Puts you off letting them enjoy choosing which flavour to have and I've not encountered this at other places. Seems a very old fashioned approach to a place whose target audience is families.

The service was very perfunctory and there was no interaction with myself my husband or our 8 year old granddaughter. We chose to eat in, as we had bags of shopping. We sat down and the the staff came out and sat at another table whilst we were in there and didn't utter a word! The ice creams were very tasty, but my waffle cone dripped out of the bottom, so although tasty, were not too well made. Over all, lovely ice cream, but spoiled by lacklustre service.

My partner and I stumbled across Scoops on 23rd July 2014, tucked down a little alleyway, after a walk around Yarmouth Castle. The choice of different flavours of ice cream was just fantastic, and it took us both what felt like a lifetime to decide what flavours to have. The lady behind the counter was so nice; I couldn't figure out what to have with my scoop of turkish delight ice cream and after making some recommendations, she let me have a taste of the banoffee to see if I would like it. I was sold, and had a scoop of that! The flavours worked beautifully and I probably wolfed it down in about five minutes! My somewhat more civilised partner took his time devouring a scoop of mint choc chip and a scoop of toffee ice cream as we stood on Yarmouth Pier enjoying the sun.If you are ever in Yarmouth, you have absolutely got to go to Scoops for ice cream - the best range of flavours and tastes you could ever hope to sample!!!

Stopped here for tea and we're so glad we did. Loose leaf tea in a china tea pot (not one of those awful stainless steel ones that dribbles all over the table), a tea strainer, china cups and saucers and a china milk jug - this is how tea should be served. The Bakewell slice and chocolate cake were both delicious and the portions very generous. The friendly welcome and engaging staff added to the enjoyment. Looking forward to the next visit.
