We were so glad to get a table for myself husband & Daughters on a busy saturday morning. The full english breakfasts we ate were absolutely spot on. The food was cooked to perfection & you get so much for the price. I would advise anyone to go for the Copper Kettle full english it's truly delicious. We will definitely visit again when we come to the island. Carry on the great work guys!!

Popular cafe this I had the Scottish breakfast today for a change minus black pudding but they were happy to swap for extra egg, very nice indeed good ingredients perfectly cooked especially the eggs which were dippy and lightly cooked on top not ‘snotty’ like some other cafes. Reasonably priced They do get busy as it’s popular, nice friendly lady served us cafe itself very clean and comfy too. Note we found everyone on the island friendly and courteous as we were driving too.

Definitely won't eat there again after driving half way over the island to eat there. Wrong drink to start with I thought I would forgive and forget but then she asked me if I wanted chips or garlic bread. I asked for chips. it came with garlic bread not chips. I waited for the chips as garlic bread was dry as anything!!. They said they were busy so I thought about saying don't worry about the chips but I didn't want the dry garlic bread and small piece of Lasagne. Such a shame as we loved to have a little drive over there. Wish the owners well as they are very nice but won't waste my time again.

Nice food and excellent value for money. The staff however, in particular the owners should be more welcoming and pleasant!! I visited here several times. Someone I know ate there regularly for over a year, and was never made to feel particularly welcome, considering how much money they spent there! Customer relations need looking at, especially for regulars!!!

My wife and I went out for a Sunday morning breakfast as we do every couple of weeks. We were in Shanklin and went to go to one that we had been to before but when got there they were closed! ( Bit strange for a weekend right at start of the holiday season!) So we wandered across the road to The Copper Kettle, all I can say is I'm glad the other place was stupidly shut....... The Copper Kettle is a lovely small cafe, very welcoming staff, clean and tidy and clearly very busy with locals and holiday makers. We ordered a Copper Kettle Breakfast which was very very nice, freshly cooked, I'm fussy with my black pudding and hash browns as they can often be done to be too greasy but I gotta sayine were cooked to perfection! Decent bacon and sausages and really tasty fried eggs.... everything was perfect. The prices of the whole menu is really decent and could definitely charge more! They do a Sunday roast with a selection of meats and again, the cost for a Sunday roast will not be beaten anywhere on the island I doubt! Will be back for that soon I'm sure. I'm glad we have tried this place , just annoyed I haven't tried it sooner!!

11th July 2023 We were on a coach trip to I.O.W, stopped in Shanklin Old town for sightseeing, possible lunch, Time critical, we briefly viewed the old structures, tea rooms, famous “Rock Shop” then walked up the rise and down the high street. So pleased we did as we came across the “The Copper Kettle”, loved the décor With 40 min remaining before the coach departed at 14:30 we entered to have a drink/sandwich finding that closure to orders was in 8 minutes No problem, they gave us a choice of table, menu, set it out, leading us deciding on having 1 x English Breakfast & 1 x All day breakfast, coffee and tea, brilliant, catering for Coeliacs (Gluten free) without any fuss. The whole experience was excellent, the food served (cooked to perfection) service, price, cleanliness. Great value. Only regret I wish the Café was in my town. For sure when we return to Shanklin I.O.W. we will certainly be dropping in on “The Copper Kettle”. Thank you ladies for making us welcome, being so helpful, we made it back to the coach in time Highly recommended

The Copper Kettle on the IoW is one of those fantastic 'Caffs' that serve a perfect meal for the time when you just fancy egg & chips and a really decent cup of Rosie Lee. They do everything well including Paninis and spotted dick and apple crumble with custard. Many call this haven of English 'cuisine' a transport caff or a greasy spoon. But that doesn't cut it with The Copper Kettle. Because everything is sparkling clean and there are no greasy patches in sight. Mandy is a no nonsense caterer and processes your order with quiet efficiency. These types of establishments are dying out - well in London anyway - and the decor is 50's candy stripes of American diner interior. Which is why Doug of our party returned with us - he had the American pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. But you don't go for the architecture! You go for the best cup of tea on the island (Mandy let on that the tea was 'Yorkshire Tea' - which are actually the suppliers of tea for M&S (yes really!)) So listen up IoWighters! Use it or lose it! We want it to still be there when we return, please! (Oh! And they know where their nearest bandstand is - but that's another story.) And thank you Mandy and team.

Have walked by this place many times when in the town and kept saying we should try it as it has a really good range of choices, so we went along for lunch today on spec. I had a veggie roast - home-made nut roast, big yorkshire, loads of veg & a jug of gravy which was a very nice touch. My dad had liver & bacon, which also came with a good amount of veg & extra gravy. Both meals were very good portions & piping hot. Dad had the home-made apple pie & custard, also excellent. So reasonable priced aswell, fantastic value! There are not that many tables inside & it was quite busy, so bear that in mind & would probably book if Sunday lunchtime as a few tables were reserved. I tried the ‘Copper Kettle’ for Breakfast, and discovered that it was not quite the ‘cosy café’ that it appeared to be from the outside. Had a fried egg, one sausage, 1 bacon and a couple of tinned tomatoes, plus two pieces of toast (1 slice) and a decent mug of tea for £3.95. Hubby had a bacon and egg sandwich and tea. Bacon thick sliced and good quality, sausage tasty enough if not a premium banger for the money I thought it was great.

Vacating our campsite last Friday, we thought we would pay a visit to Shanklin en route to the ferry and have breakfast. No easy task! All these quaint little tearooms offering lunches and teas, with teacakes and coffee the nearest we could find to a breakfast. Even the hotels weren't offering brekkie on their boards, only lunch and dinner so, chancing upon the Copper Kettle proved to be worth picking our way through the scaffolding for! A beautifully cooked breakfast at a good price, served with good coffee and a smile. What more could we ask for? Even more impressed when overheard a customer querying gluten free products, to be told of several items on the menu, plus, "If you're having a roast, I can do gluten free Yorkshire Puddings". A willingness to serve is essential in the service industry and these guys appear willing to go the extra mile. Yes, it's a cafe, not a quaint doodah, but don't let that cause you to walk past it.

Stopped for a cream tea which the wife enjoyed. Usual 2 scones provided with jam and clotted cream and a good pot of tea. They normally do Gluten Free cream tea but due to high demand had sold out of GF scones. They were however able to supply GF cheese scones so I had a savoury version of cream tea, 2 GF cheese scones, a tomato chutney and a cream cheese. Was very nice and would recommend.

A very peaceful place to stay, in the centre of Newport, conveniently located, close to the bus station and to restaurants. Charming interiors, with a lot of character. Spacious, comfortable and clean room. Breakfast is served, and freshly prepared after the order is made. Hostess is friendly and Staff polite. We will definitely stay there again!

Good size meals, especially breakfasts. Good cuppa, no frills just true value, friendly staff. I would visit again and recommend this café.

Stopped here for tea and we're so glad we did. Loose leaf tea in a china tea pot (not one of those awful stainless steel ones that dribbles all over the table), a tea strainer, china cups and saucers and a china milk jug - this is how tea should be served. The Bakewell slice and chocolate cake were both delicious and the portions very generous. The friendly welcome and engaging staff added to the enjoyment. Looking forward to the next visit.
