Fab little place with a fantastic location on the beach. Walked the dog and stopped for coffee here every morning. Lots of people having breakfasts that looked good. A very relaxing place with friendly staff. Only downside is they closed Mondays and Tuesdays

Visited this lovely cafe for coffee, decided to go back the next day for lunch. 6 of us ate there. The food was really lovely, all fresh, beautifully presented and very tasty. Freshly prepared, very quick service. The staff were so friendly and incredibly welcoming, very impressed . Would go there again no problem. Lovely place to dine.

Lovely little kiosk right next to the beach. Others busy but the food is good value and very tasty. Have been a couple of times while on holiday. Dog friendly and definitely worth a visit even if just for a cuppa or an ice cream.

Really lovely people run this and it is a great little place. Came here a number of times - really great ice cream. Also, do try the backn and sausage butties - made to order with freshly baked bread. Always a cheery hello and always a goodbye and thankyou. Great views over Sandown and Yaverland beach.

Menu had breakfasts, sandwiches, ice creams, hot drinks, milkshakes etc. Food is cooked fresh and is delicious and very reasonably priced.

We visited every day for the week we stayed, it’s so convenient being on the beach, reasonably priced, great teas and coffees and the ice creams are delicious!

After a good walk along the sea front from Sandown Town Centre, we came to this nice little cafe where they offered a nice selection of lunch time freshly made sandwiches. Dog friendly...indoors as well as outdoors. Great to eat/drink whilst watching the day go by.

Great down to earth cafe with lovely views. We ate there on a Saturday morning. Reasonably priced, generous portions and all you could want for breakfast. The staff make this place. The ladies who served us were lovely. The young lad clearing the tables was super efficient & polite and the chef makes very tasty food which arrives at your table quickly. We’ve had lunch here too and that was equally as good. Lovely fresh salads and perfectly cooked and seasoned chips. Of course we will be back!

Have been here many many with IOW friends who live here but was ruined recently by a staff member charging 50p for a cup of HOT WATER! It was v opportunistic..this is my drink of choice. As there were 8 of us having full English breakfast and spending well, I felt it was a blatant rip off!

You don't expect much from a brachside cafe but Yaverland Kiosk is exceptional in every way. Our party of 6 all had hot baguettes,burgers, chips with hot and cold drinks. Service was super fast and the quality of the food was amazing. Massive slice of cheddar on the burgers and the freshest baguettes. The salad we perfect, chilled and fresh. We were very impressed withthw friendliness and the quality of the food. You will not regret visiting if you are in Sandown IOW. We will definitely visit it again.

The young girl who was serving me was very nice, I think she might have been new but she was doing well and I’m sure everything would have gone smoothly if she wasn’t having to contend with being treated strangely by her colleague. I ordered 2 coffees and breakfasts, while the girl serving me turned to make the coffees (from one of those machines with presets that takes about 30 seconds per drink) her colleague stepped up, didn’t acknowledge me at all and began calling people behind me in the queue. This would have been fine if there was anywhere else for me to stand but instead it left me awkwardly trapped against the counter while others got served. When the coffees were made the girl serving me picked up the card machine to take my payment, keyed in the amount and was about to pass it to me for me to tap my card, only to have it taken out her hand by her colleague so that she could take payment from someone that was behind me in the queue. I’m not sure if the colleague had a problem with me or the girl serving me, or if she just wasn’t thinking, but it came across very rude and unnecessary. Once the card machine was retrieved and I could make my payment, the colleague then wouldn’t move out the way so that I could get my coffees off the counter to take to my table and when I asked if I could get to them she blanked me completely. The girl serving me saw this, was able to squeeze round and get my coffees to pass them to me across the other side of the counter and apologised profusely but she shouldn’t have had to apologise for her colleague’s difficult behaviour. I felt more sorry for how she was being treated than how I was treated. It was busy and I understand the need to serve people quickly but the colleague could have helped the girl serving me by taking my payment while the coffees were being made and i would have then been able to move out the way swiftly to make room for the customers behind. The breakfast itself was ok. The lady who bought it out to our table was nice and friendly and the views are good of the beach.

I thought it was time to put a new review online, as my last one was when they could only do outside food because of the restrictions. Happy to say the inside is open again, the food is still excellent, the breakfasts are massive and very reasonably priced, and the team are friendly, helpful and cheery. From the outside it may not look all that special, but there are good reasons why it is always busy. Possibly my favourite place on the Island.

Finally managed to get down from London again and the Whoppa's are as good as ever !!! Never miss this little kiosk, the staff are friendly, the tidiness and cleanliness are top rate. Would be happy to recommend anytime.

Went for breakfast which was well cooked and came on a warm plate .Despite being a very busy sunday all was ok with liads of toast and including a tea or coffee. Great view of the bay pleasnt staff . Will definitely return 👍

Have never had a bad meal or bad service here and been coming here for many years. One of the best places for a sausage or bacon baguette!! Prices are good and not a rip off like some places. All the staff are really friendly and it's clear they get on with each other and have a lot of regulars that that they will always make the time to have a chat with. Overall, a good place for a little snack or a good plate of something with chips!!

This is an amazing place to eat! Very very good food and lots of it at excellent prices! Been here with family and solo. Very friendly and helpful staff. You won't be disappointed.

Had high expectations for this place but was majorly let down. They do not have highchairs at all, nor a children's menu. The menu is over priced and not overly accommodating. When these issues where raised the staff member in question wasn't understanding or willing to try and help at all. Very poor attitude. Bacon was also over cooked to top it all off. Would not return. Absolutely not family friendly at all!

We stopped here after taking our dog for a walk on the beach. Good prices, took card too which was handy. I recommend their rock cakes, very nice indeed.

If your taking the scenic walk to the fort and battery from Sandown, then this is the place to stop for a quick breakfast and drinks, lovely views, good food and friendly staff. With public toilets near by. Recommended

spent 3 days down here and every morning i strolled up the beach from my hotel towards Yaverland when i stumbled across this Cafe, i thought to myself i have walked all this way why not treat myself and treated i was!! whilst sitting on the bench drinking my hot cup of coffee listening to the gulls and waves crashing against the shore i thought to myself this is a bit of me!! so i spent all 3 mornings visiting this little haven enjoying the views and enjoying the delicacies this wonderful cafe had to offer! they sell everything from bucket and spades for the kids to play with on the beach to the best burger i have tasted ever! and believe me i have sampled a few burgers in my time! nothing was ever to much for the amazing staff who i got to know well, Martine, Tommy and Hannah and the rest of the team will look after you and make you feel at home!! 5* food 5*service and 5*quality!! keep up the good work and i will be back again soon

We were staying close by and were going to go out for a long walk along the footpath which goes over the Culver cliffs. We stopped off at the Kiosk before our walk for a delicious full English breakfast. The service was friendly and the food was very good. It seemed a very popular place, as we arrived there shortly after it had opened and by the time we left it was full - as so were we!

We came here at 9am for a Sunday morning breakfast. It was already filling with customers. The service was quick and friendly despite this.

Myself knee was hurting so I could not walk to the restaurant planned. Instead we opted for the local kiosk on the beach. We'll my cup of tea was really good. My jacket potato with beans, cheese and a side salad was very tasty. £6.50 for the lot. Cheap and very cheerful. Will definitely eat there again.

After several different cafes for breakfast we have this to be the best around and best value for size

Good number of tables and seats around. Close to car park and beach... even the zoo that seems to be built on an old maritime fort. We only had an ice cream, but the menu looked reasonable and not too expensive.

Accidentally we spotted this shack opposite the zoo. Breakfasts were plentiful and tasty. The downside is there are no children's option. Popular with the locals. We visited twice!

We have been going to this cafe for many years, the breakfasts are brilliant, really large, (don't go if you are on a diet!!) They cook great food and the prices are very reasonable. You get a lovely warm welcome and over the years we have come to know many of the staff. It also welcomes well behaved dogs, and sometimes there is a sausage for them as well! The views are superb and you can sit and watch the ships go by...bliss.

We live locally, and as is often suggested, "Eat where the locals eat" and this is 100% true of this little gem. From superb location to friendly staff you have it all here. Good range of freshly cooked food, sensibly priced and presented. Ultra clean environment, right through the day even with being right on the beach (well a few steps down to the beach). Everything from freshly prepared sandwiches, freshly baked cakes - you have to try the rock cakes if you can beat the locals to it! Hot and cold drinks, ice creams etc. a really varied menu to choose from. Plenty of space to eat in or outside, or take-away the choice is yours.

Lovely little café offering great friendly service and good food at a very fair price. Strongly recommend a visit.

Been going here for over ten years on our own and with friends, always the warmest of welcomes along with the consistently good value excellent quality food. Been over to the island for a day visit with friends today 18/04/18 and the all day breakfast went down a treat, roll on September when we’re back for a week our friends like us can’t wait to visit the kiosk again. Another great thing about this venue is well behaved dogs are always welcome.

Walked the amazing beach at Yaverland and was in need of a decent coffee and cake. This place fitted the bill nicely coffee good rock cake good and the bacon sarnies were fab and friendly staff.

Love this place. Nice and friendly with no frills. Proper beach cafe that is clean and serves a cracking breakfast. Staff nice and overlooks one of the best beaches in the UK.

Regular stop for my parents to walk their dog along the seafront. Plentiful parking adjacent with disabled spaces. Quite a few outside tables . Quick service. Reasonable prices. Good , no-nonsense cafe right on the beach.

I've been visiting the kiosk for about 20 years, in the days when it was little more than a shed! But the food hasn't changed - still superb and great value for money. My only gripe is that they used to make fresh coffee using Nescafe and a kettle but now it's a coffee machine and I found the coffee really disappointing with a lot of sediment in the cup afterwards.

My husband and I visit IOW about 4-6 times a year and when we are in Sandown we just loves to got to the Yaverland Kiosk and have a cuppa and rock cakes.

Ideally located on the Yaverland Beach and sells allsorts from Shoes to windbreaks. They have a good choice of food and the Rock Cakes are delicious!!

We simply had several cuppa's whist spent on the beach last week. Staff were friendly and very efficient, menu look great and value for money. Well done to all keep up the great job, so nice to see. Food looked good too! :)

Great place , very clean very friendly staff. We pop in here after I finish work once maybe twice a week . The food is simple and delicious. We would recommend the breakfast . My fave hot dog. The salads are amazing just too much on the plate cheese and ham wow.!

Popped in here before going to the Zoo and had the mega breakfast and you can't go wrong for £5.95 and that's with a tea or coffee!

After a walk along the breezy beach we popped into Yaverland Kiosk for a quick bite to eat. Prompt, friendly service in a spotless environment. Recommend the hot chocolate and lemon cake. I'm sure their other meals are fab too.

Exactly what one needs after a bracing walk on beautiful Yaverland Beach - a good hot mug of tea and a rock bun - and the best rock bun ever! So good - and such good value too!

Every time we come we have tea here and rock cakes, they are great and have been the same for many years. Very reasonable priced sandwiches and breakfasts all with a lovely view. You can sit outside or get takeaway for the beach.

Friendly staff that keep the Kiosk clean and tidy. Not a "restaurant" but a good range of snacks and light meals. If having the breakfast, make sure you are hungry!!

O.k, so it's a kiosk cafe so don't expect fine dining or restaurant style service & decor, that said however it is clean, the staff are pleasant & friendly. A friend and I popped in after walking from Sandown to Yaverland we were going to just get a cuppa. But after seeing a burger going out to a table we checked the menu and was surprised at the prices. luckily a couple who had just finished their meal vacated a window table (Bonus), the gent serving quickly cleared it so we were comfy with great views of the sea. The Burgers came out quickly, my friend had one with bacon on, I had one with fried egg on (as i said not fine dining) but they were lovely quality burgers cooked perfectly and for the price with the extra topping a bargain compared to many beach front properties. WE WILL BE BACK FOR MORE :)

Went to the beach here most days as it is one of the few dog friendly beaches on the island in the summer. Had the all day breakfast. Great service. Good value, tasted delicious. Only downside was they use margarine on their toast. This is a shame as it would have been perfect.

Another no frills or pretensions basic local beachside Café, serving excellent value for money Café food. It was clean, tidy, good portion size, and freshly cooked to order. Okay, the surroundings weren’t palatial as it is a Café not a Restaurant, i.e. plain tables and chairs etc, but for just plain honest plain Café food, it was great.

Me and two friends decided to pop in on a sunny Sunday while riding our bikes. We were greeted with friendly, attentive staff that made us feel welcome. We ordered all day breakfasts which arrived quickly. It was hot and good value for the amount we got.

Coffee not the nicest and the ice-creams are often a bit re-frozen or frosted. Good place if you just want a cold drink, the menu is very basic and very few cakes/biscuits available but it is what it is and just a kiosk. Find the staff often carry on their conversations whilst you are stood there or once they have your order.

Called in after walking along yaverland beach this morning. Served by a smiley,efficient young lady and had 2 lovely breakfasts delivered to our table by the happy chef! Really enjoyed the whole thing. Will definitely return soon! Thank you for a gorgeous Sunday morning!

We visit here regularly as it is only a short walk from our holiday chalet at Sandown Bay Holiday Centre in Yaverland. They are very welcoming and dogs are also allowed inside as well as outside. We love to have a cooked breakfast looking out at the beach and sea. There is a good choice of cafe food and it is very tasty.

Like it says - and luvverly tea too. Great staff, and great location. Always a pleasure to visit and indulge.

Mention certain types of food and it guarantees a lecture on furry arteries and the possible future need for elastic belts. Slow momentarily in the car as certain international food outlets appear and the temperature drops to the point where the heater is needed to sustain life.

Lovely beach side cafe great tea and snacks big big breakfast and varied sandwiches and lunch choices great for parking as the car park is next door but the view is wonderful

Always had a fantastic breakfast at Yaverland Kiosk. Everything is piping hot, delicious and the price is spot on. I will always continue to return back to the Kiosk. Great staff, friendly and you can have a laugh with them.

Just a small cafe right on the beach with great views. We had a very generous all day breakfast and ham/egg/chips. Lovely to look out at an angry sea crashing against sea front just a metre away. The staff seemed to take great pride in the place and were always cleaning - it was spotless!

A must visit place if you are in yaverland. Great food. Good service and lovely views over the solent. The staff were friendly smart and attentive. Really recommended for breakfast or lunch. Prices are very sensible too. Good value for money

Food here is always of an excellent standard even when the café is very busy. They use quality ingredients and meals are always presented nicely. Definitively the best breakfast on the island by far. The café is always lovely and clean and is a great place to sit and enjoy the fantastic views of Sandown bay. Dogs are welcome too and you can sit outside on sunny days. Service is always good, staff are polite and welcoming. If you like great food and views, this is the place to go! :)

This is one of the nicest place I have ever visited. Drinks and food are great value for such big portion sizes! Drinks are lovely, food is outstanding, particularly the all day breakfast that is actually served all day! Food is not greasy, it is very well presented, and service from the staff is brilliant. They hold clear profession, polite, helpful, understanding. I would also like to add that this Cafe is very clean. Something you can see the staff take clear pride in. I have been coming here many years, and it never fails in keeping such a high standard. In the window it states it has achieved 5* , and it certianally is! Also I would recommend the rock cakes! They are lovely!

I have been going to the Kiosk for over 15 years from the time it was just a little beach facility through to where it is now a great place to eat and to be. Family-run businesses are few and far between these days but in the face of fierce commercial pressure this little Oasis stands out above the rest. They are open mostly seven days a week and still serve food after 3.30 in the afternoon which is something most other places do not do. The food is cooked to order and not just re-heated and the portion sizes are very generous. Prices are fair for what you get and the staff have a friendly professional attitude at all times. The place cleaned from top to bottom every day and this is a credit to the standards required by the family. They have a 5-on-the-Door score from the local council for hygiene and that is well deserved. Try it you will not be disappointed.

Took our guests for a good breakfast before they went back to the mainland.Both veggie and usual breakfast were great, and enjoyed by all,enough to fill even the most hearty appetite! The previous day we had all enjoyed a good lunch,overlooking the sea.Cafe is very clean and staff friendly and helpful. Even the dogs were welcome!!

We spent a couple of hours here today, watching the Battle of Britain flypast. We ate bacon and sausage baguettes, a plate of chips and vast amounts of tea and coffee. We sat outside in the sunshine, although it was quite windy it wasn't cold as we were sheltered by the building. The staff are fairly efficient, but not particularly welcoming or friendly, almost as if you are interrupting their day by asking to buy something. However, the food was tasty and well cooked. The tea was good strong 'builders' tea, but the latte was disappointing, as it was mad with an instant latte mix from a tin and didn't taste very nice. They should invest in a milk steamer so they could use proper milk to make it, even if they just use cheaper instant coffee it would be so much nicer. The tea was cheap enough, but the cost of the latter and the food was rather expensive for what it was. I would recommend this café, but would also advise to drink only the tea, or maybe just ordinary instant coffee. Don't expect much change if you eat here though.

If this is the café/shop on the seafront at the entrance to the car park then this is the right place I am talking about. We had breakfast here almost everyday of our stay and it was excellent value for money and in a pleasant location. You can sit inside or out and the full breakfasts were well presented, good quality, and excellent value and they even replaced my disliked sausage with bacon (ooh err missus)- 3 plentiful full breakfasts with drinks for well under £20. Turned our self catering into quality B&B; with ease :-)

Found this charming little cafe by chance after having a very disappointing morning, both with the weather and visiting Ventnor which we found really disappointing and rundown, so a pot of tea and refreshments were much needed. Had a selection of sandwiches, then my hubby and I got tempted by the delicious looking cakes as well, not only looked delicious but was delicious as well, I opted for a slice of the Coffee and Walnut Cake and my hubby opted for a slice of the Lemon Cake, at £2.00 a slice thought that was very reasonable. (Generous portion).
