The best restaurants in Hastings South East

I went to the kebab shop they were very disrespectful and they didn’t talk to me in a good way

Far more expensive than the Costa just down the road! No proper cups for sit down customers. And horribly rude staff. Avoid.

Awful experience. Never ordering from here again. Spent £15 on a pizza as a treat, and when it arrived I was very disappointed. Very little sauce and tasted bland. Phoned up and asked for a refund as had already waited one hour and was too hungry to wait for a replacement. Manager advised me that all they can do is replace it (which makes no sense! Why can’t they refund?!). Waited an hour and hadn’t heard anything so called them up and they said it will be 5 minutes. It arrived cold and raw. Called up to complain and ask for a refund. The guy I spoke to was VERY rude and said because I ordered the garlic spread it means there won’t be as much tomato sauce (again not making sense). He said they did all they could and if I’m still not happy then I have to complain on their website. But then all they will do is give me a “free pizza” which I’ll have to order from the Hastings branch. Why would I want to do that when they keep making so many mistakes?? And looking at other reviews, they clearly feel they must be precious about their sauce and it’s not just me! Awful please avoid if you don’t want to waste your money!

Food very over priced, cold and just not worth the money.

I've been visiting Combe Haven and Mash and Barrel for many years, and I always look forward to being served by Chris. His consistent high-quality service is unmatched. He remembers our preferences and is always kind and understanding to my daughters needs. A great asset to Mash and Barrel. Thanks Chris. Keep being Amazing

First time here The Breakfast was fantastic Only £7.99 with Tea/Coffee and Toast Highly recommend

Fries were raw, jacket potato with shrimp still frozen on the inside. En pie was tough and barely warmed up in the microwave. Glasses dirty and tables sticky. I've never had such bad food.

Really cheap drinks, fun atmosphere and easy to get served despite the place being really busy. Us girls had a great night.

Since the male owner passed away the chip shop has gone down the toilet pan chips were rubbery and fish was always burnt can't wait for new chip shop to open and give them a try

This place has god downhill. Very poor service. Guys handling food with bear hands, and wiping hands on apron. Dirty toilets. Tables not cleared or cleaned (sticky). High prices. What has happened to this place that used to be a reasonable stop for a snack. Avoid.

Fab breakfast, real food, real prices! Not a chain not mega bucks, just basic decent grub. Lots of regulars and locals so must be good! We enjoyed it. Clean and tidy, tucked all my boxes

We went to breakfast which was alright, but the coffee was undrinkable. I gave it back but was not offered another or a refund.
