Fab breakfast, real food, real prices! Not a chain not mega bucks, just basic decent grub. Lots of regulars and locals so must be good! We enjoyed it. Clean and tidy, tucked all my boxes

I’m french and the restaurant is horrible because I do reservation and the dishes arrived 1h30 late.

Walked in and no hello from the guy serving us. He was wearing dirty boots covered in mud with dirty trousers and stained shirt and a beanie hat. Not a good start! Ordered our food and When it turned up it was not appealing. Greasy cold and funny tasting! We ate what we could quickly to get out of there. Finished our food and was then asked if everything was ok. Then he just walked away leaving the plates and cups everywhere. Firstly I’m 40 and I do NOT want my food served to me on a plastic plate! Who Evers idea that’s was needs firing! Plates cold so food went cold quickly. This placed used to be great but now it’s terrible and I would recommend this place even to people who I didn’t like. Stay clear. Waste of money and needs a good clean

The toast was soggy and crumbley prob past it’s best. the breakfast tasted weird had a cinnamon kind of taste to it, bacon seemed as though it could be shredded and very fatty. Eggs- I don’t even know how they were cooked but looks as though it was in dirty oil. The can of Diet Coke was nice! Chef came out as I’d hardly eaten the breakfast because it was actually that gross but he still wanted me to pay full price! I wouldn’t go there again especially now I feel sick and have a stomach ache, this cafes hygiene needs to be inspected.

Totally awful food half cooked eggs bacon and Iceland sausages if your paying nearly 9 pound for a breakfast you want quality and not stone cold food

This is the first time I have come back to this establishment and must say its got more expensive and the food has gone down hill since the last time I visited

having walked into the cafe the floor in the whole place is shocking! Manky seats and plain ply board should have been the warning sign enough! I ordered 2 full breakfasts take away and it was 15.65.We had burnt hard eggs..a spoon full of cheap beans each..cheap thin untoasted 'toast' bacon with more fat and rind than actual Bacon..and sausages with white mush inside that had been sliced to make them cook quicker..very poor quality with every item and it told in the breakfast!! Iknow cafes are meant to have a touck of grease but to squeeze the hashbrowns in my hand would have meant grease dripping everywhere!! I rang them to complain and the son passed me to his father and was unapologetic and didnt query the fact i said every item is of poor quality and he replied thats how we do it here and although he said sorry i could tell he is used to weathering such storms!! If your charging 8 quid and 7.65 respectively then you would expect decent ingredients!! Buying 12 eggs from icleand for a quid then selling each egg for a pound is business which i understand but very poor and has cost him return visit!

didn't order a lot of food only had 1 drink each the food was terrible chips were hard and very under cooked none of us ate the food not even the kids the only thing that was ok about the whole thing was milk shake. Order 3 burger and chips mini breakfast and kids nugget and chips then milk shakes and came to near on £40. Will never ever go bad very expensive and food made us have dodgy tummys

I have used this cafe for a number of years and particularly like how it's a bit 'off the beaten track'. The food/cost is very good and although they have a number of differing meals, I particularly love the liver and bacon meal (c/w mash and vegetables)! I have absolutely no complaints with this cafe: great food and friendly staff!

Disgusting food is awful... the waitress is so old looks like she just escaped out of a old people’s home. And the chef well she was nasty too

My husband and I go in here at least once a week. The food is amazing. The staff are very friendly. My husband has the scampi which he says is nice and I have the roast. Definitely recommend

I Always go there It's a cafe in town hidden away but worth hunting out Staff very friendly and clean and quiet Good food altho a bit dear for cafe prices is well worth it Visit Its fantastic

The cafe is tucked away in a side street and I found it by chance. My first impressions was that it was clean and bright but rather cramped especially in areas where the chairs are back to back. There is a wide range of food available, ranging from filled baguettes to full roast dinners, I ordered a bacon and sausage baguette which arrived with an ample amount of filling which was hot and delicious. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The cafe is worth another visit.

Not impressed. Top quality price, poor quality food. Cottage pie, microwaved to death. £17 for lunch for two.

Visited recently appears to be under new ownership cleaner Brighter staff very friendly and food superb reasonable prices Will return.

Iv han estado aquí varias veces y está bien.. me parece realmente caro para lo que te dan y la calidad teniendo en cuenta los otros lugares que puedas comer localmente, que es lo que suelo hacer, pero simplemente me apetecía cambiar.No esperes mucho y u no te decepcionará.

Just had lunch there and the waitress wernt very friendly and never smiled at all. Felt really uncomfortable there. The chips were very overcooked and greasy, eggs were over cooked and very rubbery. Wouldn't go there again at all.

I had a big breakfast at lunch time!! All freshly cooked and mushrooms to die for!!! Friendly waitresses. Ground coffee which was superb. Clean and welcoming.

Topamos con este café después de tomar un camino equivocado en la grandes (así que nos alegramos) las camareras era amable y atento. La comida era de buen gusto y buen precio. Las porciones eran grandes también. Yo tenía una chaqueta con queso y frijoles y im exigente fue cocinado a la perfección. Madre e hija tenía un desayuno y todo estaba muy bien cocinada. Si tienes la oportunidad sin duda vale la pena una visita. Aunque creo que sólo en efectivo.

We have been using this Cafe for some time now the meals are excellent always piping hot and the service is good .We have had the breakfast baguettes 4 sausages in a baguette really good value for money.My husbands favourite is the Gammon with saute potatoes i like the liver and bacon . This Cafe is well worth a visit. We have pot of tea for two which gives you two cups each .These two meals plus the pot of tea works out just over £13 very good value for money.

This cafe is in a small, side street, close to the covered arcade and a road back from the main shopping area and is thus hard to locate,. I found it by accident so thought I's give it a try. The flooring and wall decor need an urgent upgrade and as the chairs and table-clothes are of different colours, the whole interior needs to be colour-co-coordinated. The till is located where It cannot be seen from the main area of the cafe and the cafe is on two floors. The staff were polite and my all-day breakfast which at £5.95 was reasonable priced, was quickly served. The sausages were the cheap, poor-quality variety and had split at both ends (UPGRADE here please if you are reading!!!) but the rest of the meal was well-cooked and pleasant to eat. There was a laminated easy-to-read menu on the table, but perhaps there should be more. In short, this cafe needs to present itself better, although the food was good ....apart from the tacky sausages!!!

My favourite is the liver and bacon but the breakfasts are great too.I recommend eating upstairs as it can be a bit draughty downstairs when people come and go through the front door

We went in to this café up a side street in Hastings Town Centre on a busy Saturday lunch time. I had a very tasty 1/2 veggie breakfast. It was a set meal that didn't allow changes but I didn't want to make any anyway. My partner had liver & bacon with mash and veg. Add two mugs of tea and we felt it was very good value for £11 odd. We will definitely go again.

Went in for breakfast. I had fried egg on toast. It arrived completely over cooked on the bottom, was like rubber yet the top of the egg still had uncooked white and like jelly. I just couldn't eat it. When my partner told the waitress I couldn't eat my egg and why, she paused before saying 'oh I'm sorry about that'. Then went to pay the bill and they even charged for the egg on toast which was uneaten. Here you get basic food that isn't even cooked well, and the customer service is shocking.

My and my partner ofter try out new cafes as we like a good english fry up. Today we tried this cafe... we walked in and the waitress looked at us then carried on filling up her vinigar bottles. Ten minutes later I had to cough really loud so she would come and serve us. I asked fora number 1 which is a small breakfast costing 4 pound. I asked to swap two hash browns for a sausage and the reply was no . I wouldnt mind if there was a lot in price. But two hash browns cost 1 pound and a sausage 80p so they would be making 20p ... they were rude about it so we upt and left. If you want repeat custom you need to think about who you employ and how you treat your costemers. Awful

Yes this is a typical Caff (yes spelt this way deliberately) in a typical area for a Caff. Outside isn't very inviting as one can smell the food/oil but inside the typical atmosphere that you would expect is there.The waiter/waitress are both okay but not too talkative and the walls are adorned with Tunusian/Morican pottery but it is called 'The Village Cafe' - ummm.Leave you to come to your own conclusions.
