The best restaurants in Gosport South East

Amazing pub with a friendly warm atmosphere and incredible food. Me and my sister have been here quite a lot recently as we're always so happy with the service and food. Would definitely recommend.Five stars all round 👌🏼

Upon arrival was asked to sit outside which is fair enough if they’re busy inside. Ordered food at the table and after a 45 minute wait for some heated up meals was told that food is at least an hour wait. Seems like something we should have been told beforehand, but obviously not. 1 hour 10 minutes later the starter chicken wings came out without the blue cheese dip. Told the cutlery and napkins were inside only to be told “that’s just greedy” for taking a few napkins. Service is shocking to say the least, fair enough if you’re busy but a bit of clarity wouldn’t go a miss. Still waiting on the mains as I’m writing this, won’t hold my breath that they’re complete either. Moody staff, the two brothers in Southampton was a much, MUCH better sizzling pub chain experience. Would NOT come back here again.

Today afternoon we visited this pub, and have got lovely service from the amazing staff. Food and drink were both very good. Pub is clean and airy and dog friendly as well:-). We will come back:-) Thank you so much 😀🙏

All the staff were friendly and welcoming and delivered great customer service. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty and I would definitely recommend the Sailmaker to my friends and family.

We were new customers and were treated very badly by the rude landlady Verity. After purchasing a very expensive bottle of prosecco we sat down on a bench seat. Verity snatched the bottle in its cooler off the table and walked off with it, telling us we could not sit there. She plonked the bottle down at the far corner of the bar where there was only one bar stool. We were looking forward to having a sit down with a drink after walking all afternoon. We did not want to stand up and drink. We felt totally humiliated by the landlady's actions. The bench seat was still empty when we left and the people who were at the next table had no objection to us sitting there. They felt embarrassed by the landlady's actions. We will never visit the Castle Tavern again. This is not the way to treat customers.

It's been a while since I was last here! Like everyone does, you shop around and try others, In my opinion don't waste your time kind I did. When you've had the best leave the rest alone. Can't comment on atmosphere as I ordered on line, food is amazing and hot, delivery lady was on time and very pleasant. Can't wait to come back again thank you one and all. Jim

This popular seafront bakery has changed since our first visit. There are less tables inside but the menu choices seemed larger and some of them are rather unusual. This is not really a place for full meals, but if you are after a pie/pasty type of lunch or some tasty cake with a drink, this is the place for you.

One piece of wrong filling, but everything I asked for was there and delivered early within the expected time bracket.

Lovely, welcoming pub with lovely staff and scrummy food. The best calamari we’ve ever had and just a great, cosy atmosphere. Charlie was our waiter and his was helpful, friendly and went above and beyond for us. Definitely recommend

We are always happy with the pizza’s we have delivered, being elderly we can not have them too often so when we fancy a treat Dominoes is that treat.

We came for breakfast and we were not disappointed cooked fresh tasty, well presented friendly staff clean cafe and dog friendly perfect

Great food ... probably the best one locally always greeted with a smile...

Generous portions of chips. Reasonably priced.
