Great fish and chips used to love getting my lunch there but they stopped opening lunch times so no more fish and chips for me

Ben using Stacys for years , both for Chinese and Fish and Chips. Never had a bad meal, don’t know how some people give it a 1*, definitely a 5* from me. The adapt and pepper ribs are to die for.

I wouldn't give it a star. The fish was hard the chips where nasty will not be going there they have a 2

I've been going to this chip shop for 3 years and in the last few weeks it's been absolutely awful went there at 8 clock this evening and the lady that runs the shop dint even cook us fresh chips she put the once she had there cold and put them back in that fat and re warmed them they were disgusting she very rude will not be using them again

Won't be ordering from here again. Ordered from here last night and have had a very painful and dodgy stomach since.

Disappointed really with Stacey's. We used them for a number of years when living in bottom of gosport and they always had decent size portions, was never the best food but definitely value for money. We had a bad experience with there food a few months ago, but decided tonight to give them another go. I now have a child with a stomach ache after eating the beef curry, tasted this myself after and was slimy and tasted reheated. I had pork balls, never seen anything like it in my life. Uncooked batter in most, and an assortment of what tasted like undercooked pork and overcooked burnt pieces. Absolutely shocking. The chips again looked and tasted like they had been reheated, and it all just looks like it was prepared with the minimal of effort or care. Quite appalling to be honest. Avoid at all costs- plenty of far better/less sickness inducing Chineses about.

Stacey's is my favourite place for Chinese food. The food is always yummy, good size portions, delivered speedily and you get prawn crackers for free. I can't fault them. I'd like to note, you can pay by card, but over the phone only if you want home delivery. Some people think there's no way to pay by card if you want home delivery.

Wanted Delivery but was so disappointed that they only accept cash. When your home with injury can't get to a cash point its rather a pain.

Chips tasted like lunch time reheats when I went in at 6:30 PM but everything else was good the service is amazing order and before you have your change it's all bagged up ready to go

Had a food delivery yesterday evening and it was still hot when it was delivered and the delivery person was nice and polite i recommend this place for take out.

I love Stacey's. It's the best chippie around in my opinion. Beautiful fresh cod, perfect pea fritters and big soft chips. I've been eating the food from here for about 3 decades, and it always tastes the best 😊

Had battered sausage and chips was nice, large portion bit greasy but filled the hole

The food served here is so bad I wouldn't even give it to my dog...Disgusting

Three of us were so ill after eating from here last night. The only one who wasn't is the only one who DIDN'T have anything BATTERED 🤢 He did, however, order duck, and it was the worst serving ever. 3/4 of the pieces were just bits of fat, it was disgusting. NEVER ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN, it's gone so downhill ☹️

Horrible, Friday night takeaway sucks from here. Took 1hr & 15mins to arrive, cold food and chicken was tastless, slimey & rubberised. Feel quite sick afterwards.

Asked for large Cod & Chips tonight, it was HUGE! Really nicely coooked too. Very pleasant staff who dealt with my hearing problem admirably. First visit & I’ll be a regular now! Thankyou 👍

The food O K. I don’t think I’d eat here again. Not much effort was put into making it and it tasted a bit funny and I hate wasting money on like meh food.

The food was terrible I've never been so livid me and family was starving and to find it was cold, tasteless and disgusting I will not be ordering from here again this was my first time ordering to. You guys should be ashamed of yourselfs to give out that type of food. When i called up for my refund I was shouted at by 3 members of staff because I was complaining about the gross food and they was so rude to me. This could of been a better situation if I wasn't spoken to so rudely and I had hot food or tasty food to start with. So disgusted. If I was treated better I wouldn't of left such a bad review.

This is used to be my partnere favourite ever takeaway always (chow mein) which I don't like so we came to a compromise of beef and black bean prawn toast and rice we don't often get to have a treat so we were extremely disappointed after spending 15£ for an inedible soggy meal even our dog wouldn't touch it and he'd eat absolutely anything , ended up having some Iceland chips in bread don't go there !!!!

Havnt eaten chinise here in a long time though have to say was really lush, improved enormously and best chinise I've had in ages Recommend 100%, plus fish and chips are lush too🙂

I'm not one to really write a review but after tonight I feel I had too..I've never had chips so greasy and a chicken "breast" curry that was more like boiled chicken with a powdered curry sauce poured over the top. Sorry but we will not be coming again

Made a point of asking for chicken balls not to be burnt and they were almost black! Husbands burger was so burnt and chips was swimming in fat! Awfull meal!

recently moved into the area and just fancied a takeaway, girl on the till said £10 minimum spend for debt card payments, absolutely disgusting, I'll never go back!

I eat here regularly and have never had a bad meal, If anything I think it deserves 5 stars for all the food and service. Delivery is very prompt, normally earlier than the time given.

Lived near them for over ten years. Only today a friend told me to give them a try. So pleased I did. The portion size was massive. The food arrived on time and piping hot. Tasted amazing. Will definitely be using again.

After ordering our food online and then phoning & paying we then waiting... over an hour later we called to find out where our food was I was greeted by an extremely rude young girl who was telling me our food will be with us shortly I wasnt happy with shortly, I’d already waited over an hour! She then admitted after continuing to speak to me like dirt that our food hadn’t even been started! Unbelievable... I proceeded to say that they taken our money & I was discussed that my food hadn’t even been started! When exactly would I be expecting it!? After she carried on speaking to me extremely rudely I said I would be down to the shop & expect my food!! When I was in the shop the young, ignorant, rude server spoke to me in a disgusting way and laughed in my face! We got it home and hoping that at least the taste would make up for the wait I was wrong!!!! Food was tasteless. Trust me I will never be going there again!!!

Quite poor, food luke warm on delivery, also cod bites were extremely small, each piece no bigger than a 10p coin and one of them was just batter, very disappointing.

Great food and you can order chinese and fish and chips if your family cant decide on what to have. Great choice.

Absolutely disgusted ordered large fish and chips and got two small pieces instead which looked like big fish fingers and swimming in oil so i wont be going there again

Food is very good. The only criticism I have is the chicken balls don't have enough chicken and there is too much batter.

We use this place a lot as my wife can't stand Chinese food but likes fish and chips and I love Chinese and loath fish and chips. As we have the food delivered it means we can reach minimum order value easily in one place. As a bonus the food is pretty good also😀

Worst experience of my life ordered online and and arranged delivery for 1900. Food turned up at 1830 so turned away as had arranged for later delivery. Delivery person really helpful. Called staceys and explained the situation and asked if food would be fresh or just the food kept warm to which the reply I received was "now say again in english" (which I may add I'am a million percent I'am English. Very rude lady on the phone would never recommended to anyone. Would have been happy if they had called to say sorry but guess they couldn't be bothered. I wouldn't bother ordering from them save yourself some money and go else where I will not be using them ever again!!!!!!!!!! Would give it more than minus 10 stars but then again you don't get that option on any of these.

Enormous portions, well cooked, good price and fresh

When I walked into the little shop, I won't lie, my expectations were pretty low. The air is thick with hazy vegetable oil smoke and the smell of frying sticks to your clothes. I ordered a small chips, battered sausage and a fishcake. The chubby teenager who served me seemed friendly enough but nearly got my order wrong. However, when I got home and actually tasted the food I was actually pleasantly surprised. It's pretty good. Even the cat liked it. £3.10 well spent :o)
