just another Guinness bloke here... reviewing the black stuff. For my birthday this time actually.
Good creamy texture, mushroom shape top...very good pint...right temperature, not too cold, very clean and clear glass.
Gentleman behind the bar was very polite, took his time pouring, bit of a chat to entertain me while the brew set.
Lovely clean pub, makes me whish I lived nearby.
Worst Indian food I have ever had, naan was thick and cake like everything was way over sweet with no flavor and all sauce little meat and nothing else, threw most of it in the bin
This is genuinely one of the nicest pubs in Surrey, beautiful refurb, lovely beer garden, nice food. Unfortunately it's sometimes let down by staff. On some occasions they're slow to serve, other times they're not clued in to menu options or seating plans. We had one instance where we had questions about the Mothers Day menu and the server clearly had to guess (and admitted it was a guess) until I asked if he could check with the manager/supervisor, who was clued in and very nice. If the staff could just be a little bit more on the ball this would be a 10/10 pub.
When the manager told us …” oh our system sometimes works and sometimes they don’t ..“
What kind of a response is that ?
Does your organisation really doubt your own systems ?
In a nutshell they made us feel dishonest. We are all law abiding professionals and university educated .
They took us for some ordinary ethic minority unprofessionals.
The staff had no idea of the offerings and therefore couldn’t correctly advise us at the outset, in which case they should been trained and be knowledgeable about your product offerings to Tesco Clubcard holders / vouchers . Eventually the systems conveniently worked for the manager , and that was on our constant persistence that something is wrong with your systems .
They actually swapped the tills to allow us for the legit "free doughballs" which we had ONLY ordered because the waitress advised that the free DoughballsCOULD be used in conjunction with the Clubcard vouchers. To then be made to feel like it was OUR mistake .
HOW CAN IT BE OUR MISTAKE ?
We are the customers.
Your staff should be fully aware of your own terms and conditions.
I am sure you will agree, if the staff member has advised us of the rules, spending our evening reading the T&C's is not our idea of an evening out.
It wasted our 40 precious minutes by which time the kids were getting impatient.
If we are dissatisfied with your final reply , we will have no alternative but to take the matter to social media, press, Tesco CEO , and their marketing chief officer.
We anxiously await your response .
Whilst up from Devon, visiting my sons, helping with one, moving property. They, along with their girlfriends took me here last night. Fantastic boozer, full of people, many liked like they were locals. Very friendly bar staff, great array of drinks, opting for one of my favourite ales, Ringwood Fortyniner. Bar this pub being very local to one of my son's, main reason they took me here was for the Kebabs. They were awesome, as were the couple running the facility. This boozer had a great atmosphere and I'll most definitely be visiting again, next time I'm up.
Popped in today not knowing what I wanted for lunch, was met by the most friendly man who made some great suggestions for me! Had a lovely chat, and the food was amazing, great value for money and very quick which is convenient for the lunch hour! Will certainly be coming back again and recommending to my colleagues too!
GOLLY GOSH. This is the B E S T chinese food i have EVER HAD. Now i can just really quickly put this out here, i am rather on the heavy side. Lets just say i have eaten more dishes of food than most families have together in about 1 year. And out of all those dishes, THIS IS THE WINNER. What an AMAZING dish, but please make the soda cheaper, when you eat so much the food isnt exactly cheap to say the least. Anyway, Emils the name, have a great day.
What a delightful pub. Graham is an excellent member of staff. Very welcoming and clearly an asset to the brewery. A genius behind the bar with knowledge of the offerings.
Visit frequently, altogether made 3 complaints about food missing from orders which I didn’t think was too bad considering the amount we go, to which I was told by the manager that I complain too much and she doesn’t want me complaining anymore. Rochelle needs customer service training, when questioned about my complaints she simply repeated herself instead of answering questions, she was rude and humiliating in front of other customers. I was told missing food is my issue not theirs. I work hospitality and if I spoke to a customer the way she spoke to me I’d be out of a job.
