Costa Coffee in Elmbridge

Giving it a 2 as the toilets are horrible. Like they’ve not been cleaned for a long time.

Tea had no milk and was in a small cup when o asked for large!

I ordered a chocolate cookie which didn't arrive. instead, they sent a rocky road biscuit. everything else was in order

3rd time I’ve ordered from this costa recently and 3rd time it’s been the wrong order… won’t be ordering again!

The staff always close up over half the shop at 2pm every day, it’s ridiculous. It sends the message “we want you to leave now”. You should be closing the shop maybe an hour before, not 4 hours early.

Good coffee but this guy came in the other day in his birthday suit and he stunk of booze. Really put me off coffee.

I recently had an unpleasant experience with a lady named Abigail who served me. While I understand that individuals may have challenging days at work, a friendly demeanor and a simple greeting would have significantly improved the interaction.

Only one person serving so very slow que, so I went over to Starbucks

It was ok but with only two girls on I think they were a bit stressed but coped well. S shame Walton was a ghost town

Came here for coffee and came for a friends birthday. Dirty tables and really rude, uncommunicative staff. So disappointed

gets very busy everyday and they have lots of nice cakes

First stop after a festival weekend. Exactly what was needed. Clean toilet was also lovely!

Poor customer service ! When complained about a broken cake peice served to take away, one of the pleasant young staff members grabbed the bag from the hand in an unpleasant way and served different peicw and asked whether that's proper enough in a sarcastic way! I did mention to him that he seems angry and he shouldn't be serving customers with anger and he walked away. First time experiencing such a poor quality service from anywhere..I think the staff should be trained to treat people in a more pleasant way! It's not the staff members fault entirely a d it is down to the poor training delivered to staff.

Favourite coffe shop in the world.however it is a bit pricy but there drinks are always nice and very friendly in there

In common with most coffee houses, the wait for coffee is too long.

When doesn’t a good old Costa just hit the spot. My go to is always a large cappuccino which is great to know I can just sit down and relax but the mugs on a large cappuccino are so big you have to use both hands which I low key love!

I won’t specify a day, time, or people (even though I remember their names) because ultimately I don’t want anyone getting in trouble as the staff looked under pressure on this day and it showed in their service quality. However, when you are paying £4.00 for a coffee, you’d expect better. The trainee on the till was obviously finding their feet and didn’t know how to add a syrup to the order. A more experienced member of staff told them to put it through as ‘hazelnut’ but to tell them verbally what the customer wanted (caramel). The trainee did exactly as instructed but the order still had the wrong syrup and when we pointed it out, the more experienced member of staff got defensive and appeared to blame it on the trainee, who we then found ourselves defending. When the more experienced member eventually brought our order over, they appeared to slam it on the counter in front of us. We sat down but then found that the other coffee we ordered was also incorrect. We brought that back and were asked by a different member of staff if we would like it replaced. Surprised at the question, I replied “of course, as long as you don’t slam it on the counter this time”. I was informed that when under pressure, they tend to move quickly and that the quality of the coffee hadn’t been affected by laying it down in this way. I angrily replied that I had not suggested that it had but doing so represented bad customer service. When my correct order was ready, the member of staff, almost to make a sarcastic point, laid it down in front of me in an exaggeratedly slow manner which I found a bit cheeky, but it also gave me a bit of a chuckle and I saw the humour in it. Will I go back here? Probably. They were under pressure which happens and ultimately, they fixed the problem. Two stars instead of one for the comic value of the part at the end.

Coffee is great but the place as gradually become tatty and very dirty, needs a proper deep clean

I had a great experience at costa coffee it is just next to my work place so i always go there in my lunch break or sometime wherever i feel alone or getting bored i used to go costa and having my cup of coffee. Staff was so kind and helpful Thank you 🙏🏻

Good service, but they can't make a cappuccino, every time coffee just comes as flat white, no froth.

Nice place to sit and watch the shoppers in Walton go by. Convenient at one end of the town outside the shopping centre and close to the main drag.

Flat white coffee this morning, fine as usual. Decided on a pastry, no almond croissants, so settled for a chocolate twist. Awful, returned it for a refund. I think it had just come out of a chiller, was not fresh, but limp and tasteless

Would just like to say, jack who works in costa in Walton on Thames, is always so friendly and a credit to your company, it is a pleasant experience when someone is so happy and genuinely pleased to welcome you. Billy

Met fsmily sat outside and when it rained inside. Enjoyed a salted caramel frappea and also a cold drink. Nice seating

Phenomenal flat white texture, and lovely store. There’s a RingGo powered car park just down the road. Afternoon catches the sun on the front. Sainsburys opposite, so it’s perfect for a coffee break.

Coffee was fine, but had to ask for milk for my husbands Americano, even though when I ordered our coffee's a I asked for milk.

Coffee could be better. More level of care. Trainees should not be allowed yo serve coffee unless checked by a superior for consistency, brand standard and perfection.

This Costa Coffee place was clean, the staff welcoming and as soon as people left tables were cleared and cleaned! It was little bit busy, but plenty of seats!!

I was pleasantly surprised at the service here. When I asked for sugar Christian used tongs, very clean and very fast service. The covid protocol here is actually the best I have seen so far. 👌Well done whoever the manager is. The place is also absolutely stunning. 💯

I went around 30 minutes before closing this evening only to be refused service due an influx of online orders. I only wanted one single drink, but this was too much of an inconvenience for the staff.

Can't be a Costa and a toastie on a cold day. Staff at Walton branch so good and quick, they could give other branches lessons.

Staff don’t wear masks! Avoid. Should be following government guidelines. Staff coughing... other coffee shops local which are safer.

They do a fantastic black forest gateau hot chocolate. You should definitely give that a try

Costa is Costa, but here the staff are friendly and it's comfortable to sit in even during covid.

Awful experience. Only one member of staff serving, at lunchtime,so he wasn't able to clear crockery and sanitise tables. As tables were few and quite rightly far between, why allow customers to sit and have meetings or work there, therefore blocking usage by many others.Will not be returning anytime soon.

It was a bit untidy. But the mango and passion fruit juice is amazing

Awful experience! I love Costa and can’t believe I am writing this but I had the worse customer service today. As it is 50% Eat out to help I went to enjoy a nice drink with my friend and one of the staff (I am sure he was the supervisor or the manager) was just arrogant and clearly he wasn’t happy to serve us at all. He charged us full price just because we said we would seat outside (us thinking that we help them by not having to wash up) but he never mentioned that you must stay inside to enjoy the deal. Moreover I was more frustrated with the fact that the customer after us bought a drink and a sandwich and she doubled checked if the deal was honoured and funny enough she was permitted to drink on the terrace. He should learn to treat all customers fairly and maybe out of courtesy try to explain more...

Not visited since reopening on 30 July 20 regardless of what Google claim. However before the works carried out prior to lockdown it was a great place to meet up

Cool tidy place. Just next to Sainsbury's inside Heart shopping centre, Walton. You can park at Hearts and walk downstairs to enjoy a sunny day . Staff are friendly. No time restrictions as I spent around 4 hours there at a busy noon. Good place to comfy, cozy meetups and work-around tables

Busy and popular. Can get noisy. Right at heart of shopping centre. Excellent coffee good selection of cakes/light bites . Perfectly cooked cheese and ham toasties.

Nice branch. Could do with more power sockets in the seating area and the toilets cleaned more frequently throughout the day, but ultimately it's a Costa, so the coffee is good and so are the snacks.

Rarely go here since the revamp 2 years ago. Always good coffee as in any Costa but unimpressed by barista who, half way through preparing my coffee, broke off to consult her mobile phone!

This was the worst Costa experience I have ever had. My friend & l had stale French stick & curled up cheese that was supposed to be the freshly made offer. The chairs were stained badly (blue velvet like material). The atmosphere was flat. Hardly any sandwiches to choose from. The staff member l spoke to regarding ham & cheese being stale replaced with tuna & cheese as there was little else remaining. They all looked unhappy today...

Love Costa Coffee. Atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly makes having a coffee a whole lot nicer. Skip on the cakes. Too expensive!!! Their Coffee are always so filling. Maybe because they are served in big mugs.
