A great little gem, tucked away in the village.

Fun pub with great food. Inside and outside spaces and lots of screens to watch sport. Had a great time watching the rugby there.

Superb lamb roast £18 and Chicken/Ham Pie £15. Shows Premier League and very friendly staff.

Fantastic pub in a lovely village. Delicious food, highly recommend the vegetarian sausage & mash. Will definitely be back here soon.

We went to the george and dragon last night (Mon 29th) and had a lovely dining experience. We were greeted by friendly and attentative staff who had good knowledge of the drinks and ordering process. We then proceeded to the garden which is well kept and a really nice space for outdoor dining and watching sport. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming this was helped by how polite and helpful the staff where. The food arrived in good timing and we where all pleasantly surprised at how large the portions are. We each had a burger and thoroughly enjoyed them! The beef burger was tender and super flavourful and the chips where crispy and fresh! Overall i would highly recomend this pub and hope to return in the future. 10/10

Had a good chicken burger. Out of draught cider which is one of the seven sins, so dropped a star. Beer was good, but can't give a half point, so pretend I did. *edit. Had cider this time, chicken burger was amazing and so was the boatload of lovely chips.

Lovely traditional village pub, great place to watch various sport and has Tv’s outside but it’s a respectable establishment so no riff raff. Great home cooked food as well

Lovely little pub with good no nonsense tasty british food.. I had a lovely roast with tasty chicken and plenty of veg, my husband had the chicken & leek pie which was very tasty and full of chicken, nice creamy mash. What's not to like! Good atmosphere and lovely staff. We will definitely be returning.

Unfortunately they have lost the plot here, service has gone downhill and they have become complacent. Bar staff playing cards on a regular basis during the day and not attentive to the customer needs. Considering that they did not want sport here initially, there attitude has been changed and more televisions and live music seem to be the norm

Service was great but the roast was very disappointing. The food really was pretty average - gravy was definitely Bisto rather than home made, the beef overdone and the chicken quite dry. A real shame as had a better roast here last year.

I only had 2 pints, as we were under some time constraints due to another appointment. In the short time we were there, we received a very warm welcome and it was a very pleasant experience. My friends had food which was served speedily and they commented on how good it was.

First visit to this venue, since December 2022. Met up with two local friends - not into Rugby at all, but pub had a decent enough atmosphere. Staff worked very hard, despite it being very busy indeed. Overall, a pleasant evening.

Good food and service. Parking was a bit tight. Could probably loose at least half the seats in the old back car park for better parking like they had some ten years ago when I last visited.

Great pub with a good beer and food selection . Good quality is spot on and fairly priced . Beautiful garden out the back with plenty of seating . But gives you old skool English pub vibes which you can not beat

Lovely time with friends celebrating my birthday. All the bar staff especially Hailey (?) were fantastic, so helpful and accommodating especially with it being such a hot day and a large group. Quick and attentive service and food delicious. Water bowls and snacks for dogs. What more could you want. Our number 1 pub in TD!

Had the Friday fish supper for two at £15. Good quality and portion size with tartare sauce and peas. Good choice of ales. Will definitely visit again.

Cosy and friendly environment with a well administered Tuesday quiz night

Having called in a few weeks back after a walk we had a drink and ordered sausage and chips for the kids. It came with gravy!!!! A winner in anyones book!! The flavour of the gravy was so good it left the adults wishing we hadn’t booked to go out that evening. Fast forward a few weeks and we decided to book Sunday lunch. 3 ally’s and 2 four year olds. It was EXCELLENT! The place was packed with tables being turned over quickly for diners. We had booked ahead so no problem. The staff were brilliant. So helpful and smiling, nothing was too much trouble. So from the moment we sat down we felt relaxed. Between our party we chose the lamb shoulder (divine) and the beef (fab). Note. They do half portions for kids, brilliant! The food arrived already plated up with the meat, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes and a lovely selection of veg, roast carrots, roast parsnips, cabbage and all topped with the delicious gravy. Sauces were served in separate pots.It was a good quality ‘just like my grandma used to make’ Sunday lunch. We shall be returning for another Sunday lunch in two weeks time but with a larger party. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. PS they offered several different pies on the menu which apparently have a bottom and a top!!! We will be back. Thank you.

We had a couple of drinks with roast that was incredible. I also loved how cosy and artistic it was inside. I definitely felt very welcomed and will visit again.

What a gem! Lovely pub, cute and quirky, nice art work and a genuine lovely bartender who was whipping around serving regulars and clearing glasses the whole time with a cheeky grin. Loved the vibe here and felt like we were locals for the afternoon. Thanks Mr beardy barman, you made me day! 😀

Arrived to a warm welcome from a friendly young chap at the bar. They have a charming partially covered outside area, a side dining room and plenty of seating. The beer range was decent, I went for a pint of Neck Oil and my partner had a glass of red wine from a good selection of wines by the glass. Had a snack, not a full meal but we enjoyed our stop off and will return to eat in the dining room.

I wanted to visit Thames Ditton and after the good reviews on The George & Dragon, we booked a table. The atmosphere was lovely and need to admit it was a joyful experience. The lovely and polite waiter Eva looked after us and was very attentive. The Sunday roast was very delicious and the sticky toffee pudding a delight. We will be back.

First visit on Tuesday 22/11/22, was for a pub quiz , with four others, from Hinchley Wood and Long Ditton. It had been a staggering two years since I’d last visited this pub, and the evening, and quiz, per se, were very good fun. Second visit, on Sunday 18/12/22, was just a quick soft drinks stop off, in the early evening. Pub still has a good ambience.

We went as a family for Sunday roast, had booked for inside but we were seated outside in the heated area, not ideal for the oldies with us!! Good choice of food some had roast others very generous fish and chips, roast was good, lots of gravy, sadly no roast potatoes!

Noisey pub, very popular and locals. Food was overcooked and not good value. Fried fish was all batter and very little tasteless fish. A bottle of alcohol free beer £4. Booked a table from 6 - 8 told we had to leave it by 7.30. So with the slow service didn't have time for desert. Won't be back.

Very busy pub, very good for watching sporting events on TVs. Outside facilities available for seating. Staff seemed well trained and capable. Parking vehicles might be a slight problem

Amazing little pub! We expected it to be busy on a Saturday afternoon, but there was loads of outside space available! Absolutely beautiful building and plants in a slightly hidden location! Really friendly and helpful staff, parking available and good prices for drinks with a very tasty looking menu! Will definitely go again!

I hardly ever review places but I have to say that I had the absolute best ever Pork belly in my life here! Slow cooked to perfection, fat melted away and delicious crispy crackling. Not to mention huge portion and home made Yorkshire. My friend had lamb and it was also a melt in the mouth experience. This pub has a fantastic atmosphere, really hard working and lovely staff and a beautiful setting with flowers and plants everywhere. Couldn’t recommend the Sunday roasts highly enough. Great day, great locals and great place. Compliments to the management!

Beautiful pub, plenty of choices to sit, indoor and outdoor. Also plays sports matches. Ordered fish & chips + chicken wings. Fish was good, mushy peas was seasoned with herbs and nice, chips was chewy and not fresh. Chicken wings was crispy and nice but without any salt. The garden is lovely and the toilets are clean with lots of funny posters:)

I like this pub very much but have to say my lunch of fish and chips today was extremely disappointing. The fish size was meagre and I only had 12 chips.

Staff are always a delight. Such a great team, efficient and friendly. Beer is always cold and clean and food is clearly made fresh - what more can you ask for of your local pub?! I love the outside garden terrace, now the sun is out I'm there, right by the jasmine :)

St George might be hailed as a national hero, but he was actually born – in the 3rd century AD – more than 2,000 miles away in Cappadocia (modern day Turkey). As for the Dragon, who knows?

A great local village pub with very friendly staff. There is a good outside area with heaters for kids and dogs. There is a good selection of wines and beers on offer. I've yet to eat here, but the food an menu always looks very good.

I have lived a 5 minute walk from this pub for 20 years. Today is my birthday and I went there with my husband and two grown up kids. We all agreed it was the best Sunday Roast we have ever had. My daughter and I had the vegetarian option and the boys had the roast beef. All really tasty and the service was first rate too. It really made my birthday.

I absolutely love the food here. Today the special was changed so I could have the veggie option. They always accommodate us. Bar staff friendly, and remember our names when we visit. My lunch was super yummy. I will return for sure.

We were suprised how good the roasts were. This pub has changed a bit recently, for the better. Food is nice, menu a little limited. Staff are friendly, bit expensive. Three roasts, three deserts and three pints was £95. Importantly, predominantly - it is still a pub. Not a restaurant with a tacked on bar.

A nice place to dine and hang out. Staffs are very polite,friendly and very approachable.We had a good day.Food is delicious especially the sticky toffee pudding. We loved it.

Very enjoyable Sunday roast dinner.

Just driving around and popped in for a drink. Ended up having a ham and cheese ciabatta with chips, enough for 2 share for a quick snack and terrific value at £6.95. If that way again will definitely go back.

I love the changes this pub has done and some great drinks offerings, the menu is not extensive but that’s fine as it usually means what they have they do well! Great outside space also and friendly staff. I did have the ham egg and chips as I saw someone else order it and it looked great but mine was a miss unfortunately, eggs over cooked and very fatty ham, my friend enjoyed his fish and chips and very good portion ! I will try again.

Came up from the south coast to see family and they suggested this place. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Small menu but the right mix of different dishes especially when taking the specials board into account. I had the large beer battered cod and chips. Now I can eat big but wow, it was certainly worth every penny portion wise and tasted really good as well. The rest of my party were equally impressed with their food. Highly recommended

Seen this pub for some time now and wanted to try the food there. Had roast dinner recently and it was lovely. Great atmosphere, lovely interior and food was yummy. Will definitely go back.

Lovely as usual, sat outside and were very glad of the covered area as it started pouring! Helpful staff who remembered drink preferences and rushed to help when I slipped over at one point! Nice to be able to go to the bar again too! We didn't eat on this occasion but the food is very good too.

Settled in now as a new pub with new staff, very friendly and accommodating, this pub has masses of space both internally and outside areas. A lovely selection of pub food often with a flair or twist to raise the bar for other pubs to follow. Good selection of beers and spirits, its a go to pub if your in the area. Staff have continued to take covid safty seriously which is reassuring for the customers....

This pub never disappoints. Will always help fulfill your needs when booking a larger party
