Sam's Kebabs in Elmbridge

first visit to this evening takeaway following a recommendation from the owners of Archway Cafe in Hersham. We went for two wraps with Doner chicken and chips. Epic portions, very good quality ingredients, cooking and flavour. Will definitely visit again.

Absolutely love Sam's. Everything is so fresh. When over busy you may have to wait but well worth the wait to get a perfect meal. Never eaten in but will definitely do one day. Keep up the great work Team Sam. Bex & Tel

Great kebabs Ordered the house special with different kebabs (Lamb Doner, Chicken Kebab, etc.) Every family member complimented the food and it was a nice treat once in a while when life’s busy. Chips were also hot and crispy just like I love it. Thanks and will order again in the future.

I never ordered from here before the other day i ordered 2 kebabs delivered all i wanted was 2 normal kebabs this is what i said i asked if i could have chips in the kebab and i received a large order of chips separately one of the kebabs was not even a kebab it was a huge box of mixed meat i asked for lettuce and received a box of lettuce separately the reason i am not happy is because i was charged separately for the lettuce i was charged separately for the chips and was made something i didn't ask for and upsold without even being aware of it until it arrived and then i was forced to pay £30 for what i thought was 2 kebabs when really somone should only pay £16 maximum for 2 kebabs will never order here again and if you decide to make sure your not getting ripped off on the order and the price

I hadn't been here in years, they even have a veggie option which was nice to see. The staff were very friendly and prepared the doner and veggie kebab with some fries. Everyone enjoyed their meal which is what counts.

Lazy. Never read instructions, always something wrong. Small things but ruins it because they can’t be bothered. Wrap was was full of onion as well so neither of us happy.

Had our Chicken Shish kebabs and chips delivered. Just fantastic quality as usual. Easy to order over phone and swift delivery service. Great kebab shop.

Genuinely awful food, you get nothing for your money & you don’t get what you asked for STAY AWAY!

This place used to be very good, but when we tried it recently, it was very disappointing. Generous servings, but tasteless. Not sure if the shop has changed hands or just cooking styles, but sadly the food was very indifferent. Unlikely to eat there again. Update: Tried it again on Sunday after some considerable time, and it was even worse! The doner kebab was so punishingly salty as to be inedible, and the chips were not cooked. The little we ate made us both ill. The only upside was the fast delivery, but it went into the bin equally quickly! Dire.

Overpriced what it is and bland chicken donor. Could wipe the tables after a customer level. OK for a quick bite.

I note some poor reviews. It’s a shame if that’s been happening as I’ve always had great food as per my order. Been ordering around £28’s of food each time for years. Always been great. Another great meal tonight.

Only part of the order turned up. Phoned to complain, said that it was on the way and it never arrived. Food was soggy too. Won't be ordering again

4th time they’ve got the order wrong through Uber eats only to be told it’s not their fault it’s Ubers! Uber deliver, they don’t cook so I find that extremely ridiculous. The guy answering the call was rude and said 30 min wait and couldn’t do anything about it. After 10 minutes the guy finally agreed to send the correct food. Will no longer be ordering from them.

Yet again an order through Uber eats and the order is completely wrong and items missing!! Called the restaurant and for some strange reason they blame Uber eats who have no control over the food that is made! It’s not rocket science, you pick up a ticket, read it and send the food! It’s pretty much the same as making an order in person or over the phone. This is the best bit… called up to let them know, they blamed Uber and then said it would be 40 mins for my food to be delivered. Be mindful, when you order it’s a lottery as to whether you get your correct order or not.

Just ordered a chicken shish and chips. Collected 10 minutes later and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the salad was fresh and the chips weren’t soggy. Absolutely great!

Standards have dropped order wrong 2 times in a row last time burgers and kebab had no salad at all just meat cheese.

Food is generally good, tonight not so much, overcooked. Main issue is that items have been missing in last few orders and whilst they have made good at other times they have refused to send the missing items or issue a refund. They did offer me the replacement food if I came to collect but without a car it's a 1 hour round trip on foot which isn't much use and why I used a delivery service to start with. Down a few quid so out of principle won't be ordering here again

Lovely place and location , fast service also . But if your bread tastes better than your meat . That’s wrong . Been ordering 5 times in a row . Lamb shish is always chewy and raw . Doner meat smells greasy . Have you ever actually tried your own food ? ! Use less fat , if you want recommendations.! I ordered myself 5 weeks in a row but nothing is upgrading . Thought you guys would change it . But I’m afraid . Tried not to put any reviews but enough is enough . Waste of money and time

I’m really not one to write a review but the service is absolutely shocking, they always get our order wrong so I decided to order from Uber eats thinking if it was written down they could follow it. but I got the wrong order the Address was not on the receipt so how is the driver to know where it is going? Phoned the driver couldn’t get hold of the driver so I phoned Sam’s they were very rude and said they couldn’t do anything as it was not their fault, so I had a order that cost £20 when I paid £40 and 3 hungry kids never again.

A nice friendly classic kebab shop with a good selection of food and the quarter pounder burgers are awesome.

I have picked up a takeaway which was ordered over the phone . One chicken doner wrap salad and garlic Mayo and one large lamb shish , plain . Onions on the side . Got home chicken shish ! Rang , they apologised but said it would be half hour before they can deliver another so went out to get it . Walked in very busy , asked for chicken one back which I did . Handed me the lamb not even offered a can of drink . Got home to eat my cold wrap and have to say hardly no chicken doner compared to a few months back ! I have to say they have gone down hill . They had 4/5 people working behind the counter all in each other’s way , main man in control but ordering others then taking over didn’t see the point in them being there ! Will be giving it a swerve for sometime .

Don't always go to sams for food and will do from now on. Delivery was on time. Food was spot on. Hot and tasty. Guy on the phone was really helpful. Keep it up. You'll see me again

Ordered 5 meals, all came without chips, no peta bread, and not even spicy. Absolutely shocked seeing as been a regular customer for near 25years. Will now stop going there in the future.

Molesey staff really helpful. Portion size really good, quality reasonable, salad on kabab was fresh.

Very rare you find 5 star reviews for a place that has headlines with the word ‘diarrhoea’ in, but it does some the place up. Of course you are not going to have normal bowel movements after consuming a gigantic kebab smothered in sauce. It’s give and take, you give yourself the delicious food knowing full well it’s taking away your morning whilst sat on the throne. COVID again brings out positives in take away establishments and the main positive of Sams kebab must be the loose immigration checks brought about my the more prominent virus. Sticking to there accounting morals, even during the peak of the virus it only takes cash, wish if you visit will make sense. Having said this the chicken kebabs are delicious, just make sure to collect, unless you want your food cold as the one driver makes his way around Molesey

Where shall I start, I have been glued to my toilet for the best part of 27 hours 16 minutes 47 seconds, make that 48. The fish and chips were questionable, the texture of the shepherds pie reminded me of my late grandfathers sausage. The tikka masala on the other hand was cheeky. I plan on returning to this establishment on the 17th December 2020 12:40 to taste the renowned fish and chips.

i love having from this place the food is fresh and delicious , the staff is spotless . all of it made from a real turkish chef grill . i would recommend to all family and friends. excellent!❤

Got to Love a good Sam's Kebab been going here since I was a kid and it's just as good now

great wraps, and kebabs. Cooked well and all fresh. Burgers and fries are very tasty. My children 11 & 8 love the adult size burgers and cheese burger.

Order from them every week be it in the shop or via delivery. Sometimes have a problem where delivery driver has to ring to find where we are but lately has got very bad to the extent that food is stone cold. Today they sent out food and 45 minutes later it hadn’t arrived despite my address being on my account AND sending it to him 3 times during the journey. After getting bored Vasil cancelled my order and when I phoned the take away they said I had to phone Uber to get my refund. Shame as they were once very good but their delivery prices and the service have gone to the dogs. Avoid

Give up on this place. We order from them EVERY Friday. Never have a problem with delivery, then today they sent out the food, the driver drove round for 45 minutes and then decided he couldn’t be bothered to look anymore so cancelled the order. When I rang the take away they said it wasn’t their fault and I had to ring Uber to get my money back. Don’t order from these guys anymore, and if you do, make sure your delivery driver isn’t called Vasil or it won’t arrive

Took two hours to arrive, fish was greasy and chips were triple cooked to keep warm. Was really disappointed as we usually order kebab from here and that is amazing. Would recommend the kebab but not fish and chips. Asked for a refund, but couldn't get it apparently as I ordered online. Not happy about this to be honest.

I particularly like their 'small' (loads of chicken) chicken shish kebab with salad and chilli/garlic mayo in pots on the side and my partner likes 'small' lamb donner.

Lamb donner always good. I went for a chicken tonight. It was terrible, I wouldn’t even feed that to my dog. Usually 5/5 but this time the chicken let it down. Lovely staff, can’t fault them.

Ordered for a friend using Uber Eats - he ordered lamb kofte which supposedly came with sauce, salad and the meat in a pitta and is the chips. They 'forgot' the sauce and salad... We called up straight away and after what was a battle trying to get someone to understand plain English, eventually they apologised and went through a replacement which yo be fair to them, was the right thing to do. The two star rating isn't down to the forgotten salad and sauce however - I tend to rarely give out five stars and usually have a four star rating in mind as highest. So one star off for the forgotten bits, and another as my friend was unable to eat the food anyway. I tried some of the kofte myself and it wasn't he worst I had had but ultimately ended up a waste of money. The chips were basic. Maybe it all tastes better straight from the shop, who knows, but it was below par for us.

Terrible food. We ordered a mixture of kebabs and burgers. The kofte was awful, the doner was dry and unappetising and so were the burgers. Took over an hour to come. Won’t ever be using them again. Why has it gone so down hill after the refurb. When we rang and complained they weren’t interested.

Ordered a home delivery, took over an hour to arrive. Since the refurb I'm not impressed. Forgot part of the order, portions were small and when we called to say it was wrong, we're told we didn't order that!! I know what I ordered. I'll be going back to hersham kebabs. Only tried this again as it's open on a Sunday but I won't bother in future. Hersham kebabs much better.

Best kebab within a 10k radius for sure. If you like a donor having not had 12 pints of lager and want something properly cooked, then Sam's kebab is for you :) Nice guys too, delivery is also efficient if you choose not to collect

I used to enjoy the Chicken Kebab Wouldn't touch the Donner Meat tho. Burgers are not edible. Acceptable customer service. Staff don't appear friendly or welcoming. Today's Chicken and lamb kebabs waiting to be reheated 😨🤕

We get food from Sam's quite regularly because their shishes are excellent! The bread and salad are always perfectly fresh, the meat very tasty (and quite generous) and the chips are scrummy.

I have tried their donnas and their mixed grills but often go for the chicken kebabs and its always good! They are really generous with their portions and their salads are always fresh and crispy! Defo recommend them!

Do not recommend, staff are rude and obviously don't like their jobs. Food is normally cold, or has been sitting around a while. Used to be good, don't know what has happened.

Haven't been here for a while and it's really good to see Sam's Kebabs back at the top of its game. Very good quality meat, marinated in delicious olive oil and fresh herbs, charcoal grilled and served with fresh salad. Delicious!

The various different kebabs are potentially good. The meat itself is well above average but the whole meal is ruined by being stuffed into polystyrene boxes. By the time you have got the meal back home or wherever, it is just a soggy mess. The pitta bread especially is so damp that it falls apart and is practically inedible.Whatever happened to wrapping kebabs in paper? There is a reason for using paper guys! It lets the contents breath and stops it sweating and going damp.Why not use the pitta bread as an 'envelope' for the meat and salad like traditional kebabs are served? Then wrapping in paper would be a cinch!
