I was a student here, and I couldn't not recommend this college enough. I am neurodivergent, and I was disgusted at the way I was treated by my art teachers, and was often accused by them both for breaking the college rules. She compared me to her personal life and said "I have no sympathy for you" which was completely inappropriate. I was in tears when I left that day. It got to the point where she would argue with me through sending me long - and at times threatening emails, and not one of the staff that were aware stepped in to help. I was left after reading each email feeling so distressed. The college later on decided that I should stop attending, when the day before I was promised by the send department that there would be change for my needs to be accommodated. There is total misunderstanding and lack of communication and care (especially if you are neurodivergent) at this college.

Its decent, but really can improve on a lot if areas. Im in my second year of college and one thing they cannot get their heads around is sorting a timetable out. Some staff members are just down right unlikeable. I believe its important to have a good connection with the person whos teaching you, luckily last year i had some great teachers/tutors. This year i have only 1 good one and the other i really dont like, i dont think ill do well in the subject with that teacher. It has already been aparent that they have been lacking with the amount of teachers they have, many times they tried to get new people to teach our course but most of the time they had no idea on how to teach what we had to learn. Management is terrable, as i said they cant produce an actual working timetable, last year i believe my group had atleast 8 timetables within 2-3 months and most of the time they had errors with lesson times, location and what teacher it was. They made overlapping timetables which was very confusing. Im going to mention one of the staffs timetable since what happened was unacceptable. I will not name the staff member/teacher but at one point, his timetable had no lunch break. Whoever made that timetable needs to sort their act out. Lastly many staff are unfriendly, any chance they have to scrutinise you for something as simple as your id, theyll get all unfriendly and use a stern tone. A few times me and my peers were sitting on the floor in the corner of the entrance to our building which we always do in the morning before lessons start, there is one member off staff who during an ofsted inspection repeatedly told us we cant sit there. Like what the hell. Regardless if ofsted is there or not he shouldnt be able to dictate rules when we only agreed to the basic student agreement we all signed at the beginning of the academic year. Speaking of ofsted inspections, litterally every educational facility in the country will do stuff to make a good example to the inspectors. That would be okay however there is a huge difference in staff behaviour and actions when there is an inspection, any slight annoyance/inconvenience to the staff will land you with disciplinary actions when theres no rules or reasoning to their accusations. Ofsted inspections are worthless nowadays. Staff always butter it up rather than going about their dutys like any normal day. Other than all that the college is alright, engineering department is great with their equipment and some of the staff are very fun to be around, english department has some great teachers.

I am honestly appalled by the lack of common sense, comunication and organization here, my brother enrolled on a course here last year and was met with constant teacher changes and timetable changes. This week was supposed to be his first week back on a new course, and was met with yet again more disappointment. After turning up with no idea of where he needed to be as no one had given him any kind of timetable. He went to find a staff member who would be able to help and was told there where no timetables at this time. So he's wasted time and money getting to this silly excuse of a college, only to be told to go home and do work online as no one has a clue where he needs to be or what classes he has. This college needs to stop mucking these kids about and sort there shit out.

Have had 2 kids go through the 14-16 programme at Brooklands. Both have mild to moderate additional needs but present as pretty neurotypical ie their needs are difficult to see. I provided in depth info on their needs and need for support. One managed reasonably well doing 1 year of catering but only because they are outgoing, don't fuss and get on with it. Did not have anyone acknowledge their needs or communicate with me (vital for their success)The other just completed 1 year of motor vehicle which was pretty much the most frustrating experience I have ever gone through.. constant change of tutors, absolutely zero feedback, terrible behaviour in the classroom due to no supervision inc setting fire to things, IMPOSSIBLE to communicate with anyone except the complaints department who weren't that great either, always sidestepping around the complaint, not giving a direct answer. Could not spend another second trying to deal with this college. First child thriving at Guildford, second moving to Farnborough.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I would definitely not recommend this college. Have had two children attend this college. Lack of teachers for one. My son has wasted a whole year at this college in the Sen department having achieved not a thing. The 14-16 course is utterly shocking! 8 teachers in 4 months! This college either needs shutting down or a complete overhaul.

Worst college I’ve been to yet (specifically the Motorsport area of it). I joined the Level 3 Motorsport course after being promised a full 2 years of learning and international experiences related to my course. (None of which has happened) The start of the 2 year course was OK, lack of tutors for some occasions and lack of lessons in some days, all while not learning too much as a whole, only really talked about it, wrote it down in a very unpleasant and poorly maintained room, given a grade and forgotten about. As the years went on tutors kept dropping out and replacements were brought in over the summer term, these tutors are a waste of time and annoying, all they have done is promise learning and experiences but have given nothing, the timetable was changed 14 times in the first 3 months and classmates were blamed for being late to lessons they didn’t know existed. The department leader whos last name is Ince is also useless and should resign. He has promissed improvements and tutors to teach us, but failed, and constantly argues with the students stating that we have been lying to him about his failed promises, including assignment dates (a year long project which we have about 3 months to do with no help) and a maths teacher which took 4 months to start teaching maths who left a month after due to the fact the guy didn’t understand basic maths such as the difference between the Mean and Median (we later found out he didn’t even have a maths degree). As this 2 year course comes to an end, I have learned less about motorsports or cars in general than I did in the Level 1 course I did in Farnborough (Which I highly recommend for beginning in the motor industry, more than Brooklands). However atleast I know that I can write Health and Safety assignments 4 times! Overall, the whole course is a nightmare in exception to the one CAD teacher and one practical/theory teacher who cannot do better due to the idiotic department head. I cannot say any other good things about this course as it was a disaster and will not recommend this course to anyone!

Lovely college in beautiful Weybridge in the lovely and picturesque Surrey. I studied A levels in Film Studies, History and Sociology in academic year 2011-2012, lovely staff and great network of students. I had many good memories here, made some great friends from all walks of life. Ironically my mother studied here and did catering, went on to become a chef 👩🍳.

Brooklands Collage are not organised and dishonest, and as a result my company has suffered financial losses with regard to the apprenticeship grants. My company took on a carpenter apprentice for nearly 2 years and have only now been told we are not eligible for the grant.. shameful.. we will not be taking on any more apprenticeships, which is a shame for those apprentices who are in need. We will be seeking legal advice.

Fabulous Burns night with friends, food was wonderful as always and plenty of it, the Haggis was piped in which we weren’t expecting. The restaurant was full to capacity but the children worked so hard to get all the drinks and courses out on time. Will definitely go to more evening events at this training restaurant, well worth the small amount you pay.

A beautiful large college campus that offers a wide range of college courses over 2 campuses. The buildings are well placed and the surrounding areas of forest holds a walking path that leads to a car park, local pub and Weybridge train station. Here you can also find a cab service that stay around the train station. The campus has a parking area as you enter and a security hut that you have to approach before being allowed on site. As a previous adult learner here, I would recommend this college to anyone as one to check before they make their decisions.

Incapable of providing bursary on time. Been this way for years. Happened when i attended around 4 years ago and also in this current year of my sister attending. Considering our father is on benefits due to health conditions it is unfair that he now has to front the money out of what they need for food, heating e.t.c.

We came to Brooks for the first time last night. It wont be the last. The young people who are studying at the college all came together to give us a wonderful evening. They worked so hard to get it right, and really did just that. The food was excellent, I enjoyed some excellent Curried Parsnip soup. Loads of lovely flavours running through it. After that I had the traditional Christmas fare which was really nice. Moist tasty turkey with very crispy Roast Potatoes and a lovely light Christmas Pudding. I will definitely come back.

Beautifully presented, well thought out and delicious dishes! The waiting staff were tentative and polite, the drinks were very reasonable and the food was delicious. I had a Caesar salad croquette with romaine lettuce puree and crisp leaves. Followed by pan fried beef sirloin with rainbow chard, pumpkin, pickled and fondant carrots and a savoy cabbage leaf! For dessert the chocolate fondant with milk ice cream. The courses started with a selection of bread and finished with tea / coffee and petit fours ( which weren't great to be honest)

The food choice on the menu was good and the quality and presentation excellent. The students waiting and serving in the restaurant were at various stages during their training course and many of them showed much promise in being able to deliver good customer service - they engaged positively with customers and were proactive in checking that everything was in order. The atmosphere was relaxed and positive and it was an all round very enjoyable experience. Well done everyone working at Brooks today!

We normally Celebrate Burns Night at home but when we found that Brooklands had their own we jumped at the opportunity. We'd heard nothing but rave reviews about the quality of the teaching and were certainly not disappointed. It was great to be the "guinea pigs" and lovely to be fussed over. The food was exceptional, beautifully laid out and served with experience normally seen only in a silver service restaurant. There was no chance of going hungry, the helpings were extremely generous, Apparently one large booking failed to show which was disappointing for the students who had prepared each portion with genuine attention to detail.

Within a modern hotel, I eat here 4-5 times per year. Good quality as said and also nice people to meet. Their main customers are work travellers and you can understand from high prices. Just the menu is really limited at at the end everyone eats always the same food: steak, potatoes, fish and chips. Lamb for the brave. A good wine list but really expensive.

This is a good stopover before and after viewing the museum exhibits . The cafe is clean and well maintained and serves a good variety of hot and cold food .Staff were friendly and attentive .We would have returned for afternoon tea had the prices not been as high . The younger members of our party were charged £10 for a coke, orange juice and a croissant ! We were a large party of eight and could only just afford snacks let alone a main meal . For a similar amount we could have had out of this world starters at the five star Brooklands Hotel ! If we lived locally we would visit often but pack a picnic !

I visited the restaurant on 9 June 2016 for lunch with my mother. We were greeeted warmly by students in the bar area and asked if we would like drinks. We were then shown to our table. The menu was of an extremely high standard, I had the rocqfort mousse with bee pollen as a starter. Just delicous. My mother had chicken and I had pan friend salmon. Generous portions and very good selection of veggies. We both had dessert. A lovely way to serve dessert, a student brings you a trolley to your table side and describes each dish. I found all students to be willing and hardworking, in particular I would mention Chantelle who excells and brings her personality enhance her customer service style. A wonderful lunch. I can recommend this restaurant whole heartedly. I will be trying their Christmas lunch menu this year and will return for future lunches.
