Cracking place, excellent food, attentive but not "in your face" service, don't forget to take cash...

I come to Walton-on-Thames from Leyton to visit my friend, and every time I make sure to eat at Cappadocia. The food is always delicious, and the atmosphere feels like a real Turkish experience. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. I really enjoy coming here—it’s become my favourite spot whenever I’m in town. Highly recommend!

Had such a great evening at Cappadocia in Walton! The food was honestly amazing – super tasty and fresh. We had the mixed grill and some meze to start, and everything was spot on. The place has a really nice vibe too, cozy but lively, and the staff were all lovely – really friendly and made us feel right at home. Definitely one of the best local spots I’ve been to in a while. Already looking forward to going back!

Superb meal yesterday for lunch with my friend, we only had 2 starters, hot meze (£19) and cold meze (£17), both were enough for 2 so we had plenty of food plus free bread! The Service was amazing and food delish! thank you team!

Food poisoning was the case....And of course, food wasn't fresh. The bread was hard, rice was from previous days. What a disappointment 😞

My impressions of this restaurant are very pleasant. I felt like I was in Cappadocia in this restaurant, the food and the staff were very nice, I just loved it. My advice to those who want to come is to just come and feel the atmosphere of Turkey.

Head waitress Bella & her colleague Zuzanna could not have been more welcoming, attentive & friendly. Lovely decor & wonderful piping hot food both in quality & quantity complimented by little touches such as small bowls of olives and homemade bread free to the table. Bella was exceptional. Her gregarious & professional demeanour focussed on every detail of our enjoyment and her desire to satisfy our every need. Highly recommended.

We went to Cappadoccia Restaurant for iftar a few weeks ago. Although the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, our main dishes still hadn't arrived even after an hour of placing our order. When we asked the waiter if our orders had been forgotten, we were told they were being prepared. However, it became clear that our orders had indeed been forgotten and that several takeaway orders had been prioritized ahead of ours. They hadn’t even started preparing our food. To make matters worse, we found a piece of hair in one of the cold starters. To their credit, the waiter did replace that dish after we pointed it out, but it certainly didn’t help the overall experience. We told them we’d just pay for the starters we had already eaten and leave, but they insisted that the food was already on the stove or in the oven and couldn’t be cancelled. After almost 1 hour and 40 minutes, they brought out the wrong type and number of lahmacun, confirming that they had completely mixed up our order. We had originally ordered mixed kebabs and large lahmacuns. By the time the food finally arrived, we were already full from waiting so long. We had to take our food home, where we ended up eating it cold. As a gesture of apology, they offered tea for six people in a teapot that barely filled three small glasses, along with a few pieces of stale dessert sliced into six tiny portions—thank you, I guess. It was our first and most likely last experience there. While the food itself wasn’t terrible, the overall service, hygiene, and lack of attention to customer needs were very disappointing.

I wanted to thank the team at Cappadocia in Walton for their very kind service on a delivery order last night. My wife and I ordered the mixed meze for 2 with Lahmucan and some fries on the side via Deliveroo and the food arrived promptly and was delicious (as the food always is from Cappadocia). There was a little mix up on Deliveroo's side with the hot dishes not arriving initially, and the restaurant went out of their way to get the rest of our meal delivered, sending their own driver which I think is excellent service. Very grateful and would highly recommend!

Calamari was nice but the Lamb awful. Don't feel like it was cooked today. Very hard pieces of meat throughout. I have had food from you in the past and really enjoyed it. I don't usually leave reviews but felt you needed to know.

We had our dinner here, we were party of 16, and we enjoyed every minute of it, food was very delicious, Juicy and the service was great, despite the large number of the crowd, the waitresses ( Paulina, Mohamed and yousef ) were quick, fast and they handle everything smooth and nice also they were cheerful and welcoming, Glad we had our dinner here and definitely we welcome back

First visit, would def come again. Staff were delightful and food was good, Turkish fare.

I've been staying in Walton from London for 2 weeks and the only food place is here, the food here is amazing especially the Lahmacun. The only best place here to eat. The service is good, the servers are polite and very welcoming. I'd definitely suggest this place to anyone.

I booked a table for 4 persons on line for a Friday night for 7.30pm as we have been to this restaurant before many times. We all had 3 courses and drinks. The food was generally of a good standard but the side dishes were far too small and the mains had an excess of lettuce at the expense of the side dishes which differed from our previous experiences. It could certainly improve in several areas that are lacking. The service was disjointed as 2 mains arrived first and the other 2 some while after which was disappointing when you are out for a meal together. As in most restaurants staff are keen to push the drinks but need to focus on the service with the meals and customer satisfaction.

A really good authentic restaurant - food is very good quality. The lamb shish is delicious with the bulgar rice (my only critique is the small portion size - 5 pieces of meat) however saying this it really is absolutely delicious. The breads and the sausage starters are fantastic and the Baklava is to die for. Would highly recommend and we will definitely reorder - go again - we have eaten in the restaurant previously and was excellent.

I had dinner with my family. And with colleagues. Very nice place to visit. The meals are so delicious. I like Turkish dishes and this place reminded me of the true Turkish meals. It's hard to find a place like this in London. There are halal meat meals, so soft and useful. I could not count the number of meals and drinks on the menu. You need to visit tens of times to try all of them. Strongly recommended.

I ordered my food and half the food was missing. They said for the food was to be ready at 7:05, they made me wait until 7:20 and then to find half my order was missing when they said everything was in there. Very disappointing.

Today I have come to Cappadocia walton on thames and I love it. I have tried national turkish pizza Lahmagun and also pizza margarita.Lahmagun was great. I have tried it in London in another turkish place but Cappadocia’s was different with its taste. Pizza margarita was also different and scrumptious.Service was also great. Thank you Cappadocia for great experience.

Not quite what it used to be. Food was ok. The vege pide was mostly onions. The hummus was not very flavorful. Bread was nice and hot. The kunafa was about 6/10. Ice cream was not Italian but more tesco value. I won’t be coming back here in a rush. Fine dining prices with subpar food.

We have been to one of the branches of Cappadocia in walton and we really loved the food, especially the lahmacun. As i am Turkish, i can say that this restaurant is very nice; the food is the same like in turkey, I felt like i was in turkey. I have to say the atmosphere of the restaurant is like an old turkish style restaurant because of the decorations. It was my birthday and one of the waitresses brought me a cake with a candle on top and i was so surprised. I want to say thank you to Suzy for making my birthday special. We will definitely come back very soon.

I absolutely loved it here! The food was delivered quick and it was just so delicious! I definitely recommend the mix grill and the calamari for a starter. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the decoration was inviting. The music created a lovely Turkish setting. I have been many times and every time I leave extremely satisfied.

I had a family dinner today at Cappadocia. We chose a special Sunday set and it turned out to be a great option. Highly recommend it if you are planning on visiting with your family. Meat was cooked really well. The staff was very welcome and constantly checking if we needed anything and/or if everything was in order, which felt very nice to me as a customer. Also, we went with a homemade mango cheesecake for the dessert (which they brough with a complementary, on the house lemoncello) and it was very delicious. Thanks to the staff for the great service and we will definitely come back again.

We've been here before, but food quality has definitely gone down since ... staff being just a few unexperienced kids that seemed a bit overwhelmed. Most probably, I will avoid in future.

I loved my experience at this restaurant. The food and service is absolutely perfect and there are so many options on the menu. I got the mixed grill and it was fantastic. Definitely recommend and will be going back soon.

I really wanted to give more stars. Almost two hours we waited for food. In total we were in the resturant for almost 3 hours. We ordered our food, a couple sat next to us came after us had starters and mains and were offered desserts paid and left. We were still waiting. We asked a young gentleman who was working if he could check. Turns out they never received the ticket because the ticket machine wasn’t working at the time we ordered. I’m guessing that it ran out of paper maybe whilst orders were being pushed through. This obviously delayed the kitchen. Our waitress could have updated us but didn’t until WE chased our food. Which was about an hour in. We then had different waitress and waiters coming over to our table, it needs to be one person serving and dealing with their section otherwise it just becomes confused on who is looking after us. It was super busy and I use to work in hospitality so I understood that, and was happy to wait. I believe it was the manager who came over and apologised for the delay and said it was busy and that’s why it was taking long. Which isn’t entirely true because your waitress told us the ticket machine wasn’t working. We didn’t say anything because we didn’t want to make him feel awkward. Received half starters and waited a while for the rest. The mains where good but left me I’ll for 3 days. We were offered complimentary drinks to apologies. Staff were lovely, and the venue is nice, I really wanted to come back but sadly we won’t be

The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor, and the presentation was stunning. We’ll definitely be coming back for more!

I would just like to sincerely thank the whole cappadocia team, who looked after me tonight with excellent care. Especially since I came today at around 20:00, at such a busy time, and they provided me a table despite being full. Fast and friendly service, which should be in every restaurant. Besides the obvious, the lovely food, the atmosphere and the teams perseverance through these busy times made it a wonderful experience. Will definitely be returning, thank you!

The food is always of an excellent standard and the staff can't be more helpful. I always have the chicken shish, and the meat is so tender.

It was one of the worst meals that l have ever eaten. The fish was dry, the spinach was cold and the sweet potato wedges were soggy. Also, the place was empty on a Friday night which was also a bad sign. Avoid if you enjoy delicious food.

Eaten here a couple of times both excellent. Just ordered a take away for the first time at a great price. The server was very polite and friendly. Great place. Would recommend. The chicken shish is banging. Bring a mate, if you can’t bring a date.

I absolutely love it here! The food, the decor, the service provided, everyone who works there is super friendly and cater to your every need. The food is amazing, and there’s a huge variety to choose from, plus they include veggie options and take dietary restrictions into consideration and the food is reasonably priced and affordable, especially if you are given the 5% or 20% discounts. Additionally the atmosphere is amazing and if you decide to go on a Thursday the belly-dancing is very entertaining and almost everyone participates! I definitely would recommend for a birthday party, a gathering or a simple lunch/ dinner with friends or family! 10/10 would recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing meal at Cappadocia like always! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. I was recommended this restaurant by a former colleague and it was my best find! I came as a table of 5 on a busy Saturday, a mix of vegetarians and fussy eaters, and the menu if very well catered to every dietary requirement and very well labeled. For our starters we shared a cold meze dish, which was so tasty, with this was also paired with a fresh warm bread, and when we asked for an extra, this was brought very quick from our waiter. You can tell that the kitchen make the food from fresh, as everything was such high quality. The meat eaters shared a mix grill platter, which had a variety of lamb and chicken. The koftes were delicious, and the chicken wings were juicy! There was a good ratio of rice, salad and bread to meat. The vegetarian alternative chosen was the Imam Byaldi (a stuffed aubergine) which was full of flavour. After our meal we was offered complimentary lemoncillos by our Waiter, who went above and beyond for us. All of the staff and service was top tier- table was set and ready for the next course and with often checkups at the table, we really felt comfortable. Will definable be continuing to recommend!

We celebrated my wife’s birthday in Cappadocia restaurant and the food was perfect. I had a Mix Grill which was delicious and different Turkish traditional Mezes. We loved the place and of course a special birthday cake from our waitress Bella. It was unexpected gift from restaurant with shots of Lemoncellos. Many thanks and of course we will come back.

I visit Cappadocia Walton more times as its foods are so taste and cheap. It is very comfortable place to hang out and relax with friends or family. Moreover, on thursday there is a magic dance by an attractive dancer. Interior design is just perfect.

Love this place, great food every time and the service was fantastic, the only negative was the beer was £7.20 !!!!!! As I work for a brewery I know what they pay for it and this is more than a 500% mark up on a pint of beer!!!! 😡

This was the second time we’d come here, the first was good and I wanted to return. However the second time was awful! It went downhill from starters. The main dish was dry and there was hardly enough meat on the plate. Then I decided to get a dessert which was a big mistake. I went for the torte rocher- I took a bite and nearly threw up! The dessert was off, I’m surprised they didn’t check this! Unfortunately we won’t be returning

Not the best food I’ve tasted. Looks like a former pub. Not sure if it’s all authentic Turkish. Certainly wouldn’t return. Staff with fairly attentive.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The food was delicious and offered great value for the price. Plus, the portions were surprisingly large! If you’re craving authentic Turkish cuisine, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

Excellent Turkish food, in a pleasant restaurant. A firm favourite. I'm a big fan of grilled meat, and Turkish food, and Cappadocia never disappoints. The starters were great, and the bread is divine. The main course, grilled meat, was excellent as usual. Going to Cappadocia makes me want to visit Turkey, but I'm worried that the food in Turkey won't be able to beat Cappadocia :)

Large menu , choices for vegetarian and vegan, but we had fish and meat, well spiced food perhaps a little under seasoned. Quite rich food.

This feels like a restaurant beginning to run out of steam: chipped plates; old food stuck on menus; relatively expensive; a few bland dishes (Shakshuka) in particular; and, inattentive service including not delivering ordered drinks. Not a bad night out by any means, but just lacking something relative to the cost.

Service was brilliant can't fault it at all. Lamb was a little over cooked for us but that is our personal opinion. All the staff were friendly attentive and keen. We'd come back.

Great atmosphere in this place. We went there to celebrate my son’s birthday. They accommodated us quickly and nicely. I would say food is on the +side, but definitely not the best in London, but I truly think the atmosphere and service cover for the rest.

Having had some excellent food on past visits, we were looking forward to renewing our acquaintance with this restaurant after a few years absence. Our family are unashamed ‘foodies’ and competent cooks with a special affection for Mediterranean cuisine. The helpful staff were as welcoming as ever. Our starters of Saksuka, Humus and Kofte were ok although the Kofte were on the bland side. These arrived with one small portion of bread between three of us. Presumably each would have come with bread if ordered separately so we felt it was strange when we were charged for additional bread which was needed to finish the dishes. For mains my daughter ordered Imam Bayildi which arrived as a soggy greasy mess that she was unable to eat. My wife had Sea Bass which was ok in the main apart from the tasteless portion of spinach that came with it. I had ordered Cheltik Iskender which I had fond memories of from our last visit ( when it was just called Iskender Kebab ). In spite of a late ( and unnecessary) addition of garlic fried in olive oil, this proved hugely disappointing. The tomato sauce could have been Passata out of a jar, and the grilled lamb lacked seasoning, and tasted of very ordinary mince that could have been the first stage of a shepherds pie. I’m pleased to say the staff removed these dishes from the bill with courtesy, explaining that the Imam was overdone ( so why bring to the table?) and the Iskender had too much sauce poured on it. Again, who is making sure these are fit to be served? The prices for dishes are certainly not cheap either. Please Cappodocia, can you go back to making your restaurant about reasonably priced, great Turkish food, and leave the belly dancing entertainment to those who want cabaret.

The menu was extensive and the food was delicious. It wasn’t as greasy as some other Turkish restaurants I’ve been to in the past. I would recommend their mix grill platter. The staff was very attentive and checked on us on a number of occasions to ensure any needs were catered for.

Staff very attentive and friendly. Food was good, good portions, couldn't squeeze any dessert in, we were so full. I liked the style of menu with the images of most of the dishes. So many dishes available it was so tricky to choose.

Our party of 10 had a fabulous evening at Cappadocia. We opted for the Mixed Meze, which was delicious & great value, consisting of 11 different dishes. Vegetarians & carnivores were equally well fed. The Turkish house wine was very palatable & the service was excellent. Thoroughly recommended!

Quantity of the food needs to reflect the price. Portions are tiny compared to the price. Ever since Covid they’ve increased and portions are considerably smaller. Atmosphere is pretty good and service is decent. Won’t be visiting again as no value for money

They are beautiful and taste delicious and the prices are very fair as the quality can not be beaten. Will definitely be back !!

Great food! Great Service! The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, ideal for a relaxing meal. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we were well taken care of. The menu offered a great variety of dishes, each one delicious and beautifully presented. The ingredients were fresh and high-quality, and it was clear a lot of care went into every dish.

Been there quite a few times and every time I tell myself it isn't worth the money. I think I am now fully convinced. Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty place with nice enough food but overpriced (main + dessert £30 and was still hungry) and service is just okay (tried to find a waiter for 10 min to get some mayo but there was none to be found). The last straw for me was just wanting to wash down the meal (and dessert!) with a cup of coffee only to learn they charge £4.7 (!!!) for a latte. Even Starbucks doesn't charge that much!

What a fantastic night, the food was delicious with lots of complimentary olives, dips and warm bread. Service friendly and tentative. Brilliant atmosphere- super belly dancer! Food suitable for everyone's tastes. Really good size portions and reasonably priced. Yusef our waiter was charming. Highly recommend for a girls night, couples or families.

The food wasn’t the good and correct representation of Turkish Cuisine. Iskender wasn’t the Iskender, Adana wasn’t the Adana, Lahmacun wasn’t the Lahmacun. Our main courses were served later than an hour and after the other tables served which arrived later than us. When we complaint about this, one waiter (the older one) was nice and kind, the younger one who also took our orders were arrogant and rude. We never go there again.

Best food in Walton! Food came quickly from the kitchen and looked amazing! All dishes received from vegetarian options such as imam bayildi - a stuffed aubergine, to the turkish pizza, were full of flavour and tasted fresh, as well as all sided with a green salad. Meat on the mixed grills were cooked perfectly, kofte was seasoned well and lamb was tender. I have been to many turkish restaurants in London, and Turkey, and this one felt like Authentic Turkish food, and really reminded me of my travels! Lemoncillo was brought to our table at the end. I would highly recommend Cappadocia Walton, to friends and family.

We went on 8/4/24 to celebrate my mother in laws birthday and had fantastic time. The food was varied, delicious and reasonably priced. Java the server was great as well, very friendly and fast service.
