Esquires Coffee in Elmbridge

Tripadvisor doesn’t let you select multiple options (basic mistake!) , but I’ve been to this cafe many times in many circumstances for breakfast and lunch. It’s always delivered. Whether I need to work, have some family time or a quiet coffee, it’s a great place! It’s always got spaces so you’re never thinking it’ll be a struggle to find a seat which I really appreciate. If they invest in the decoration to make the place warmer (it’s fine as it is, but I’d add lots of decoration for that cosy feel), it’ll definitely be perfect. Hire an interior decorator and you’ve got yourselves a top quality coffee shop!

I have been to this cafe afew times for coffee and it will be my last after today's visit. Incompetent staff...this is the 2nd time the same guy has missed my drinks order and after 15mins I've had to ask at the counter and they had forgotten. Even had to ask me what I had ordered...shocking customer service so won't be returning. Customer service is way better across the road.

Terrible, terrible, terrible - is all I can say. Avo on toast ordered. Arrived with burnt toast. Bread supermarket (yuk) and not sourdough. Tomatoes looked like they were left over from last week. Really just disgusting. We left the food and walked out.

Had eaten breakfast here a couple of months ago and was impressed so decided to treat ourselves again. What a mistake! Ordered vegan breakfast (not vegan but don’t like bacon and “normal “ sausages!). Food came and was nicely presented and I was looking forward to tucking in. Started eating to find most of the food was cold and the vegan sausages were awful 😢. When I returned food, I was asked if i would like to select some pastries to the same value because there was no manager to approve a refund. Can’t fault the young man behind the counter because he was wanting to give a refund but the supervisor (I think) basically told him he would have to answer to the manager for giving a refund and on his head be it! Such a shame because the standards I expected have somehow disappeared and was really disappointed with my visit. That said, the coffees are lovely so will probably still visit for a drink.

It was really busy so we expected a small wait but 40mins later we had finished our drinks and still no food. When the food finally came the poached eggs were awful. Both mine and my partners were inedible. Will not be returning here for breakfast

Very clean and lovely place. Very pleasant staff. Food was great and tasty. Awesome calue for money. Highly recommend

We wanted a drink just before 4 on a weekday and the Surrey coffee co would only do us a takeaway as they were closing. We decided to pop in here with our two dogs for a sit down and we’re welcomed in. Coffee, hot chocolate and carrot cakes were great and the cafe had a new clean feel to it. Staff members were friendly and polite. Would definitely come again and try a meal.

Beautiful coffee shop with a wide range of homely foods and drinks. The staff are all lovely and accommodating. It is very well decorated and clean with many seating choices. Both the foods and drinks are gorgeous and if you need to mix and match that is totally fine. Could not recommend more!

Esquires hosted our business breakfast this morning and I have to say we were really impressed! Great service and nothing was too much trouble. The food was beautifully presented, tasty and reasonably priced. Lovely cup of coffee too! We will definitely be back!

Nicely decorated, new cafe. To start, the customer service was not great; for example the waiter not saying a word when putting my food down. I had the eggs benedict which was okay but could loose the lemon and other bits on top. The latte I had was very nice. Prices were average for the area. Overall if the customer service improved this could be a strong competitor with the other popular cafes in Walton.
