Excellent customer service, fast delivery and above all amazing food

Food is ok, standard stuff. Delivery by meal map is atrocious, you will wait hrs and hrs.

Grabbed some food on my home from the pub. It was nice hot and well cooked.

Used to be good but the food last time I had it was not very good and they never pick up the phone.

Shocking delivery time. Was almost 2 hours late. No way of contacting the restaurant as no one was answering the phone and no way to leave a message.

I had two dishes, both were inedible!! The oil used for cooking was on the verge of rancid!! We had to throw the food away. NEVER AGAIN!!!

A really hit and miss take away which is such a shame. Lovely service but food price, quantity and quality a bit of a letdown on various dishes. It's a bit of a lottery, your dish might be a winner so good luck!

Ordered our food at 7:30 it’s currently 9:10 they are not answering calls and letting them ring out. I will forever go to Pearl of China quality is second to none and you know you actually getting your food!

I used to order from here regularly, at least twice a month (around 2014-2016) and the food was always fantastic. I ordered a meal on the 16th of Feb, and I've been violently ill ever since. I ordered a Kung Pao Chicken, after the second bite I noticed a really odd taste. I bit into another piece and immediately threw it out. Disappointed at the time, sure, but whatever. 3 hours later, and for the next 72 hours - I have been violently ill. I've contacted Uber eats as well as emailing Oriental Express directly with zero response. Avoid it. Just avoid it.

Possibly the best Chinese restaurant in town. I placed an order on a busy weekday at 6.45pm and food was at my door half an hour later, warm to perfection, absolutely deliciously tasting. If I could give 10 stars I would!! The person who took my order over the phone was super polite, welcoming and professional. Order was delivered and nothing was missing or wrong, so on top of excellent food, outstanding customer service! Will order surely soon again! Thank you!

Always great food & delivered quickly

We tried every Chinese in the area several times. We will stick with these guys. Food always FRESH and just EXCEPTIONAL. Worth every penny. Also if delivery is slow, it means they cook it FRESH! If you want yesterdays microwave food, then you get it in 10 mins. Speaking from experience

A good reliable Chinese takeaway. I like the vegetarian duck options. Can be busy and delivery times can be slow, but in general, a great place to get food.

Slowest delivery ever… I’ve rated 2 stars because historically the food here has been really good, but the appalling delivery time is simply unacceptable. Waited 1hr 45mins on a Saturday night. They need to sort this out or they’ll lose custom rapidly.

BBQ ribs, more like dry pork in gravy. Egg fried rice with chicken with a side of hair. Smoked shredded crispy chicken , 80% is vegetables. If you’re hungry and really want a Chinese, look elsewhere.

Great takeaway. Food was lovely and big portions. Delivered promptly too. They will amend dishes at your request and my special chop suey was fab.

Had a horrible experience. Ordered for delivery and waited 2 hours with various promises via Just Eat food would arrive. Called them direct and was messed around and gave up. Try somewhere else is my recommendation!

I enjoyed the food here, vegetable chow main was a little too salty But for a first time customer i was very happy.

I paid for takeaway with bank card, but the lady said it hadn’t gone through, so I paid again. Next day I saw I had been charged twice. I went back and they said they had refunded my card, however, I have still not received a refund after 3 weeks. I have emailed and left messages on their phone, but they have not returned my calls.

Our new favourite Chinese takeaway! We tried it by chance after our old regular let us down, and have been blown away! The flavours are bold and the ingredients fresh, everything arrives piping hot and just as it should be. It can get a bit busy on Friday and Saturday nights and so takes a while to arrive, but it is absolutely worth the wait! The customer service is also excellent, which is another real plus point compared to others locally. I'd particularly recommend the honey chilli chicken, and the veggie pancake rolls.

Ordered food online at 6:30 pm on new years eve, via deliveroo website, but apparently they use their own drivers and not deliveroo drivers, it’s 10:08pm still no food has been delivered! I’ve called them 35 times (no joke) and their phones are constantly engaged! I’m so disgusted in their awful customer service, they haven’t even bothered to contact me to tell me that they are either running late, or not turning up at all! I’m livid! I’ve emailed deliveroo for their help to get a refund. I will never deal with this place again.

Squid with chilli was excellent, but the prawn curry was horrible, it tasted of perfume ! Prawn crackers were ok , rice ok . Sorry but we wouldn’t recommend this place . It spoiled the evening .

We have changed to this restaurant after popping in by chance when we were driving past. The food is restaurant quality (was surprised by some of the not so good reviews on here). The satay chicken is awesome, the king po prawns are also delightful! I highly recommend you give it a try.

Have ordered online from this local Chinese for some time now and have always been very happy with the food, value and speedy service. Very generous amounts of tofu in the tofu dishes (I'm vegetarian) and great flavours. Food feels healthier and I never feel thirsty after eating from this takeaway. Fabulous treat!

I’ve had loads of takeaways from here over the years and it’s always been average but ok as a late night scoff. Tonight the food was disgusting, soggy rice, inedible noodles, prawns and chicken awful. These people clearly think their customers are idiots and they are serving up disgusting food accordingly! If I hadn’t had so much to drink I’d have gone back for a proper row!!! Never, ever buying their s**** food again. Avoid like the plague!!!

I ordered a vegetarian imitation duck dish. When it arrived I genuinely though it was real duck it looked so convincing. Eating it it’s obviously not duck but I’m still seriously impressed.

I gave an average rating because it was all cooked well enough but nothing was outstanding. The crispy duck was a little too greasy, that would be the only negative, but it was still very tasty. The chicken fried rice on the other hand, had more flavour than when ordered from other takeaways and the veg stir fried in garlic was nice. It was nice to have the option of which sauce you wanted them stir-fried in.

Best chicken satay I’ve had ! Always tasty. The staff is brilliant and friendly . Very quick service up to 10mins and my food is ready . Highly recommended!

Started off initially good but the last and final time we ordered the crispy beef was disgusting and had been reheated in microwave for sure. Bland rice terrible. On a weekend we understand you’re busy but maintain standards.

We have had a few meals from here now. The lady who answers the phone was very helpful in describing various dishes that we hadn't tried before. We had Chicken with Pak Choi in Oyster Sauce and a vegetarian one called Eight Treasures. Delicious!!

Yo solía ir allí al menos dos veces por semana, pero han notado el descenso de calidad en los últimos meses. El arroz es más enganchado y el pollo es tipo de diferentes. No puedo poner mi dedo en él, pero no tan bien como antes. Así, no va a bloquear completamente, pero no ve ningún sitio cerca tanto como solía.

I also like the review below have used Oriental Express for years, food always fantastic, however weekend 21st January had a takeaway all seemed fine, but unfortunately threw the night myself and one of my friends became violently ill, very easy to pinpoint where problem was, Prawn toast, as our third friend who was with other is allergic to prawns, did not have them and was absolutely fine. A great shame as a good go to Chinese is hard to find. Really hope that we are just unlucky, but if other posts appear like this be careful, sadly I won't be going back.

Sin embargo, la semana pasada pedí huevos pollo dulce y agria arroz frito y pollo pelotas me violentamente enfermo a la hora y con la enfermedad y diarrea y todavía estoy sufriendo como resultado. We have had many take aways from here and they're always good. Love the chilli beef and any chow mein dishes. Free prawn crackers with delivery and they're usually pretty quick too.

2 hours wait for food after ordered online. No prior notice nor even after order from the shop! Completely unacceptable. Food unfortunately didn't make up for the wait. Not going back there again.

The food is generally good, although avoid the Pad Thai! The issue is the delivery time. They always add at least 20 minutes to the states delivery time and then are always late. How I long for a decent local takeaway!

A mess up with the order acceptance so waited an hour for nothing, but once sorted with justeat and the restaurant they delivered the food in 20 mins and was given my bottle of drink for free. Was delicious, one of the best chinese take away restuarants around. The honey chicken and sweet and sour pork is amazing.

Always delish. Go for a prawn dish - sweat and sower prawns hong kong style or prawns in black been. I live 30 mins away but always come here as its just the best.

Hemos usado este para llevar algún tiempo con diferentes niveles de servicio y calidad de comida. Nuestra última experiencia fue una comida incompleta, pedimos pato crujiente con salsa y no recibir de cebolla de primavera y pepino. Cuando llamamos para decir que faltaba ofrecían enviar un conductor, pero en ese momento habíamos comenzado comida. Cuando pregunté por algún tipo de compensación que ella dijo 'Qué quieres hacer'. Ninguna disculpa o la reducción en el precio, mal servicio! Y como punto final, su sitio web dice que no GMS... es completamente falso!
