Regent Garden in Elmbridge

Been eating there for many years. Good stunning, and owners delightfull.

I get both takeaway and eat in the restaurant regularly and the food is amazingly consistent every time. I often order the same dishes and there is never any variation in how the food tastes which is extremely important to me. The owners are lovely and always happy and punctual.

Good prices good food, excellent flavour but the ribs were chewy.

We recently went for lunch to Regent Garden. We had the sesame prawn on toast, spicy chicken sichuan, stir fried veg in garlic sauce, spicy Singapore fried noodles and crysanthemum tea. Would have loved the spicy dishes to be spicier, but have no complaints as the dishes were delicious. Prices were reasonable. The lady looking after us was very friendly, attentive and patient. Will definitely be coming here again. Parking is available in front and behind Tesco but only for an hour especially during the day.

Wanted Regent Garden to be my regular go to chinese restaurant, Lunch was so disappointing I won't be to critical as i like the small lady server, But the starters and crispy duck Was absolutely tasteless, Please for the love of god If you want to keep customers Please make sure the food is perfect before it leaves the kitchen I am sorry but i will not be returning unless there is a vast improvement on quality/taste in the food you are serving.

Great food, very tasty. Came with 16 people, excellent service. Very reasonable prices and great value for money.

Recently went to Regent Garden and the food was amazing, the homemade spring rolls were better than anywhere I’ve eaten before. Food prices are great, lovely service.

Got a takeaway from here this evening. Lots of meat in my noodle dish. I don’t eat and vomited when I bit through some undisclosed brown meat. I called the guy who shouted at me on the phone and his colleague was also shouting in the background. They told me there is “always meat in the dish” and claimed it states this on the menu. I have attached a menu which I ordered from. I have basically been called a liar and will never ever return due to the awful customer service. I paid for good which were as described. This is against the consumer protection code. Truly dreadful!

We have been dining here for at least a couple of years and the food has always been consistently excellent, fresh and tasty. However, we popped in on the evening of 15th July 2021 and noticed with our first order of starters that something was different. The portions were definitely smaller, we then moved on to the main courses, the sweet and sour prawns Hong Kong style were very vinegary and the chicken and cashew nuts consisted of anaemic looking chicken which unfortunately did not taste fresh. I understand that maybe cut backs are being made after a tough year, but it was the first time we felt the food was below the usual high standard. Service is always 1st class, maybe it was just a case of a different chef that evening, I hope so, we loved going to this wonderful restaurant!!

I've ordered a couple of times and it's always been great! Sometimes I catch myself daydreaming about their Chicken Royal or the Singapore fried noodles... yum!

We had not been to the Regent Garden for a couple of years, but decided to give it a go again since it is so local. The quality of the food has improved significantly and the service and friendliness have remained as high as always. Very happy to find a reliable Chinese take-away again.

So had our order confirmation at 6.21pm and it’s now 9.45pm. Called to chase several times (once we could get through) and final time told “we are stuck, too busy” and we won’t get our order and hung up?!!! NYE a treat for the kids?! What the hell? Avoid at all costs and if service anything to go by then I expect food to be of similar standards.

Just had our 2nd Chinese takeaway from the regent in Molesey. The food was great value and very tasty and all the food was hot. Well done to the Staff at the Regent.

Very good food at reasonable prices. The sizzling beef in particular was first class. The service was also excellent. Will be back soon!

Collected around 7.30pm on Saturday night. Very polite staff but after not having Chinese for a while I fancied getting it from my favourite place as a treat. Vegetables werent cooked in with the Hong Kong style chicken, egg fried rice tasted very fishy and there's was next to no sauce on a very very dry soft noodle and chicken dish. Chilli beef was nice and price wise they arent bad just not a good meal overall. Shame, might be worth trying elsewhere next time.

Been here many times and never fails to impress. Food is fabulous and so is the service. The all you can eat, cooked-to-order buffet takes some beating.

We ordered a takeaway for 20 people on New Year's Eve, which I'm sure was a busy night for them. Absolutely brilliant. The food arrived hot, and everything was delicious. Would strongly recommend them.

I had take way on Sunday afternoon and ordered singapore noodles, vegetarian spring rolls, chicken&corn soup and fried squid. I have been sick whole night vomiting 3 times and been in bed with temperature for the reaction. First time I tried this restaurant and the last.I believe the food wasn’t fresh at all and I had food poising. My wife now is also sick vomiting..I don’t know what you cook, how old is the food or where is from but this restaurant should be shouted!

5 of us from work didn't eat all day to eat here in the evening. Lady working there very friendly, polite and attentive. Had several rounds of several different dishes. Very tasty, nice and hot. Duck wraps were a bit overcooked, but this didn't effect it being eaten and moving onto the next round of dishes. Would go again, but only in the area once a year.

Our family were staying in the area and looked for a place for Chinese food. Found this place online and it was excellent. Ordering was easy on the phone and very friendly staff. Hot and tasty and a good selection of items. When we went to pick up it was right on time and the restaurant was clean and tidy. We all would highly recommend this place!

A few days ago we visited Regent Garden restaurant for the first time. We enjoyed it and felt comfortable there. The waitress was really nice and showed us how to use the chop sticks. The food was very good and nicely cooked. We would definitely go there again.

When we first went into the restaurant I thought it look a little tired and the decor was quite old fashioned. However, the food made up for it - really enjoyed it! Would go back.

We visited here on a Sunday late afternoon as was only chinese restaurant open all day,we arrived and restaurant was empty!service was ok and food was pretty average.we all had the set price buffet menu,chicken satay was dry we had to ask for more sauce and prawn toast very thin,have had better from our local takeaway!would not visit here again as there are better local restaurants,but being a Sunday afternoon this was the only one open at 3pm.

We have used them years ago for our takeaways and thought we would order our usual Chinese takeaway as they are the closest one to us. The order was correct and already done only 15 minutes after calling. The food was waiting at the counter. Overall it was just average, very watery dishes and very expensive for the quantity we had. We didn't try the restaurant however.

I rarely order takeaways and this was the first time I have used the Regent Garden. The food was delivered exactly when they said it would be and was still hot. We we all impressed with how the food tasted and will definitely use them again.

Booked a table for my son’s 18th .. when we got there they had decorated the table and put up banners. Very thoughtful and much appreciated. Our waitress was really lovely - friendly and attentive. Food was yummy and really good value for money. Thanks for a lovely evening

English parks and gardens are beautiful. Regent Garden is one of the classic examples. It is very close to Madam Tussaud museum and 221b Baker Street. Amazing place to be.

Having always used these guys when we lived locally we have continued to collect our orders since moving outside thier delivery zone. Now orders are ALWAYS missing items or wrong. After yet another cock up today and no response to our email we are ceasing using them Immediately. Disappointing that customer service is no longer important to them.

Went out for a meal with friends from work for my birthday and the Regent Garden made it a lovely evening as did my friends of course, I had a lovely balloon, waiting at the table birthday sprinkles , banners and everything I was really spoilt, the food was plentiful and very good, thank you all for a lovely evening xxx

The pork was just warmed up British roast pork, no Chinese Char Sui flavour. Tasteless. The prawns were covered in thick batter. Tasteless. The soft shell crabs could have been anything. Tasteless. The Bean Curd was soft and squishy. Should be firm. Awful. Everything flooded in sweet vinegary sauce and smothered in chunks of onions. Price for two £50 without drinks! No heating - freezing cold. Nobody in their right mind would come back here a second time. Chef doesn't know how to cook food with flavour. Only the service was fine.

I visited the regent garden for the first time this evening. We was feeling greedy an opted for the "all you can eat" menu, the variety to choose from was great and all cooked fresh and brought to your table! Food was delicious staff attentive and friendly and a lovely relaxed atmosphere to catch up with friends. Highly recommend. (P.s satay chicken best around!) Deffinantly worth a visit.

We went for a birthday meal and it was very enjoyable. The waiter was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food was good and plentiful with lots of selection which was cooked to order. We brought a birthday cake in for my mum and they were great surprising her with it. Would go again.

We binned more than we ate, meal for four, £40 , seriously it wasn't worth half that.

I have never visited for a meal but frequently use their takeaway service. Good selection of classic dishes, cooked well and delivered promptly

Fuimos a este restaurante en un domingo por la noche, así que no estaba muy lleno, pero la parada no llevar todo el tiempo que estuvimos allí. Todo se puede comer menú es el que eligió y no nos decepcionaron. La comida y la variedad eran excelentes y la señora que nos servía era muy amable y siempre sonriente. Esta debe ser una de las mejores comidas que he comido en un establecimiento oriental. Todo lo que puedo decir es que quiero que estaba cerca de mi casa, así que podría haber más.

Todos ordenados principal sirve platos que eere al mismo tiempo, caliente y un sabor de los platos. Recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante chino.

My husband and I are regular visitors to Regent Garden, both eating in and take away. We have never had a bad meal here, always tasty, always hot and really good friendly service. Would highly recommend

Sat down in the restaurant. Nobody in the restaurant but myself and a friend. I believe the owners child was running around the place screaming while we were sat trying to enjoy the meal. Had to ask for menus while the waitress was checking her newsfeed. Anyway we ordered the food the soft shell crab was overcooked and tasted rotten. Sent the food back after ONE bite! however was still on the bill later on.......really? Maincourse which consisted of the usual crispy beef. Red pork and chicken cashew....bland and unflavoured. Not a good chinese at all!

We were very impressed with the take away. Very quick even on a Saturday night. Tasty food. Will definitely order from here again.

While our son and granddaughter were visiting this week my son said he fancied a Chinese so rather than get a takeaway we decided to try the Regent Garden.Their menu is excellent with lots of choice and with the exception of the duck, you can reorder further items from the menu for each course but, we found that due to the generous size of the portions we did not need to order extra. The service is good and the food is well presented and, the cost is very reasonable, we would choose this option again over a takeaway because of being able to have more choice during the meal according to taste.The Regent Garden is highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I had dinner here on Sunday night. The restaurant was quiet but it is only small. The service was great, always with a smile. We had the buffet menu which is around £16 and we were really full by the end of it. One of the best chineses I have had for a long time!

Just had the worse Chinese takeaway ever! Have eaten Chinese all over the world and had a good takeaway from this place previously. However, tonight was a disaster. Tasteless, bland food, which was a shame as it was meant to be a special meal. Sorry Regent, won't be ringing you again!

The staff here are very friendly and the food prepared quickly and efficiently. We have eaten here once in an attempt to introduce our boys to oriental fare, but without huge success (no fault of the Regent Garden). They offer an extensive menu and pretty much everything we've tried has gone down well.

Friday night birthday meal with the family. Round table for the six of us, great set menu. Happy to adapt a couple dishes. Good service. Surprised it wasn't busier given the quality and service.

Went back to this restaurant for the first time in a while - Took the freshly cooked all You Can Eat menu - Loads of choice and all cooked for the table.Food Very good - Well presented and Excellent taste.

The above says it all, came here with friends, and had the set menu. The food was delicious everything was hot and very tasty absolutely faultless. The waiter was attentive, friendly and made us all feel very welcome. All in all a perfect evening would definitely recommend and will return

Seriously....They are INCAPABLE of sending out the correct order, i never ever get the correct order and today they completely f----ed it up ! Will never bother to use these idiots again .... And please neither should you ! Low quality and high prices....

i have been to this restaurant a few times nom with my boyfriend and i have to say it has always been very good.we have the eat all you can menu generally on a sunday night and the food is faultless freshly prepared and comes very quickly. the staff are very friendly and helpful. i would recomend this restaurant totally.

The restaurant was empty except for a waiter and delivery person. The menu was very lengthy how do they keep all dishes freshly available? The food was above average the beef dish was fillet beef and tasty, the chicken balls could have been crispier and no sure about the batter taste. but overall compared service and food with other local Chinese restaurants.No other customers sat in the restaurant while we were there but a busy take away service was observed. We used the taste card and had 50% off the bill which was very good value !!!

Ordered all of our favourites - crispy seaweed, crispy duck, beef black bean and special fried rice. DELICIOUS.Delighted to find such a gem in East Molesey! The owner could not have been more generous, welcoming or gracious.We will be back next week.
