Delicious food and extremely friendly staff. We got one of the set menus which we delicious and a great way to try several different dishes. The owner came and greeted us and was super friendly. We will definitely be back!

Have been a customer of Chu Chin Chow since I was a young boy and have been coming back time and time again. I have to say that the new layout still doesn’t feel right to me. It will always be best remembered as their larger restaurant when it had that vintage style to it. Since the move the restaurant has become smaller, the menu has become smaller and the portion sizes have become smaller. However, I still think it’s some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Definitely worth a visit I just miss the old days!

Have only ever had take away from chu chin chow but NEVER bad or even mediocre one!! (I'd imagine their staff are just as friendly as the delivery driver) Great food, prices. The onky Chinese we use now on!! Delivery is very quick too. If you like chinese food. The chu chin chow are you for :)

Had a big family celebration lunch on a Saturday. The special Cantonese/Malaysian lunch menu and in house made Dim Sum was all new to me and wow it as they say “hit different”. I’m absolutely delighted to have a Dim Sum place close by. And the lunchtime only soup noodles (spicy Laksa , beef tender brisket and pig trotter) were really tasty. It was a bit noisy but I guess that’s to be expected when the place was good and busy. Food really good so that’s the main thing. We had some things from the main menu too… Peking ribs, crispy chilli beef, seafood starter platter. All yum! Looking forward to going back soon to try out the rest of the menu.

When I visited relatives six years ago, my local relatives took me to eat at this Chinese restaurant, which was said to have been open for almost 60 years. It was an unforgettable experience, and I will definitely have dinner here with my relatives and friends every time I come to the UK. This time I came to the UK to visit relatives and stay for a while. I couldn't help but come here almost every week. I bought many Hong Kong taste menus. Unexpectedly, I was able to eat such authentic Hong Kong taste in a foreign country, and it was so delicious. Great laksa noodle soup, stir-fried beef noodles and dim sum tim First of all, what deserves praise is that the manager Alex is very friendly, and then what deserves praise again and again is the handmade lychee pudding! It’s about to explode! As a dessert lover, I have never seen such delicious lychee pudding in Hong Kong 😍 Hey, there is no such delicious pudding in this world! It also tastes like lychee! Help🫣I must eat it every time🤤 My roommates came for dinner that night, and tried the crab rice soup again, but they couldn’t get enough of it! The crispy duck has crispy skin and tender meat, and the sauce tastes great! The egg fried rice is superb! It’s fragrant, hot, dry, and flavorful! Leave the eggplant unwashed and eat it every time you come here. Eat it with egg fried rice and it’s so delicious! In fact, it was quite busy during the whole day and night, but Alex, the manager, was very friendly to me. When he saw me drinking champagne, he immediately came to help me pour back the champagne. Zhonghui often helped me change the hot tea, and Michael on the other floor was very nice. He will help open the door, which makes things feel very welcome. Alex also said that later their restaurant will offer a Southeast Asian flavor, and they will also have stir-fried timbap in the evening market. Wow, we are looking forward to it very much! I hope I can eat here a few more times before returning to Hong Kong. The only drawback is that I tried a Raspberry Sorbet. It was extremely sweet. Maybe it’s because I don’t eat that sweet food myself. It may be better for British locals. Damn, I love those marshmallows hahahaha. BTW, they also had a mango pudding that was very good, and they were talking to a girl across the fence at night. She was in Germany, and her relatives and friends were in Australia. Nine people around the table said it was delicious, and the other one was If someone has a birthday around the table, the restaurant will play Happy Birthday. The staff and managers will sing Happy Birthday to celebrate. The atmosphere is so good that we all sing Happy Birthday together and clap our hands👏🏻 This is my first time to write a review, and I feel pleasantly surprised. It turns out that many people are familiar with this restaurant. I hope it will continue to exist, because some food really has the flavor of my favorite food, and even that kind of taste is not available in Hong Kong. I have eaten so little that...

I visited this charming Chinese restaurant near Hampton Court station for lunch today, and I couldn't be more impressed! Despite the scorching hot weather this week 🥵, the cool and inviting atmosphere inside provided a perfect respite. 🪭 Their authentic Hong Kong dishes are truly a delight. I especially enjoyed the red beans drink with ice cream during this hot weather! ☀️ which was both refreshing and delicious. The menu offers a variety of traditional options that are sure to satisfy any craving for genuine Hong Kong cuisine.

I was walking in the Hampton Court area with a friend, and it became a little cold outside, so I suggested we go into the restaurant a little before 10pm to drink chicken corn soup. We were seated and upon ordering the 2 soups, the waiter checked that that's all we wanted as the kitchen would be closing soon, we said yes just the soups. We felt rushed that we need to drink the soup quickly, as we were told that the restaurant shuts soon. When the bill arrived a service charge had been added, when I asked to remove the service charge, the waiter made a face that was very obvious. It was an optional service charge anyway, the waiter then went to print another bill without the service charge. Then he told us that he did us a 'Favour' because the minimum spent is £20. That was so rude of him, as when we arrived we were never given this information. He only told us this since we asked to remove the service charge. The soups were expensive for a small portion for £5 something. In the UK, customers can legally ask for a service charge to be removed. We barely stayed 10 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous service and extremely rude to speak to customers in this way. I've been to other restaurants were I've just ordered soup or another starter, and have never been treated by a waiter in such a rude and patronizing way.

Friendly staff. Kids friendly place. Amazing food (they serve homemade dim sum unlike other places with loads of MSG) and their Hong Kong style milk tea is one of the best here. The kids enjoyed this place so much and ate a lot - and they didn’t even want to say goodbye to their new friend ( the very friendly deputy manager of the restaurant). Thank you for the excellent food and service and would definitely come again.

Friendly staff, offering a cultivated lunch-time menu with a great selection of dimsum and rice/noodle dishes. Exciting range of traditional chinese drinks. Especially loved the xiao long bao and char siu bao with tasty, homemade desserts to finish; all made in house from the waffles to the ice cream! Always a safe option to go back to.

An authentic Hong Kong restaurant, worth a try.

Food tastes good but the portions are way too small. A bit too overpriced, plus a 10% tax. Worst thing is they false advertise a 5 hygiene rating on their menu when it's actually 3. I pray I don't get sick tonight.

Great food but don’t bother trying to book a delivery, they’re either unavailable, or if you schedule in advance just cancel on you.

Today is my second time serving. It’s rare to taste the taste of Hong Kong. The ingredients are abundant and the portion is sufficient. The dry-fried beef river is very popular ~ the chives are the best! Fried rice with salted fish and chicken pieces ~ The taste is distinct and it feels like being in a Hong Kong tea restaurant. The waiter is attentive and friendly. Will definitely come again to help 👍

How can other people rate this place so highly as the food was really disappointing? I had the chicken ginger and cashew nut stir fry with the special fried rice. The chicken was particularly unappetising and appeared to be of the formed variety. When you cut or chewed into it the consistency was not of real chicken. Formed chicken is a big no no in my view. Apart from the chicken the remainder of the dish was mostly onion in a gloopy bland sauce. The fried rice was ok but not worth the £6. The only positive was the service which was good but we did visit on a weekday early in the evening when it wasn't too busy.

My first visit here, I had amazing food and the staff were lovely. All positive. I would highly recommend. See you again soon.

Invited by a friend to this beautiful restaurant. Had the honour of having the head chef prepared a special meal for us. Most dishes were off the regular menu. I believe anyone can order these dishes if you request well ahead. Very nice dishes served to us almost like a restaurant in Asia. I recommend this restaurant.

We had a very special dinner which the chefs here prepared such a wonderful dinner for my special guest from Los Angeles. We asked for special dishes which is out of the menu and they really surprised us. Thank you for such a wonderful dinner.

The restaurant was helpful and accommodating when a friend ordered (in advance) off the menu dishes for the 10 of us. We were not disappointed with the outcome. We dined in Chu Chin Chow on my birthday and we were delighted with the friendly staff and tasty food. Michael the Governor was very welcoming and provided service of the highest standard. We often get takeaway from this restaurant and they are always super quick to prepare the piping hot food. Someone is always there to open the door for you and they sometimes offer a drink if I get there before it’s ready. Complementary prawn crackers with takeaways too. We will be returning to this fantastic restaurant over and over again. The best staff in the area. Thank you

Very tasty Hong Kong style lunch.

This restaurant specializes in Hong Kong menus for lunch on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, including milk tea, salted fish fried rice, pork knuckles, dim sum, and pudding. The salted fish fried rice has a salty aroma, and the rice grains are fried very deliciously without feeling greasy. The pork knuckles are braised fragrant and juicy. Pudding🍮 is a slightly sweet and smooth taste that Hong Kong people like. The chef's skills are very good. More importantly, the toilet is very, very clean. After visiting the palace, having lunch here is the perfect end of the journey.

The rice is very authentic! Very Cantonese~ I ordered four dishes and it cost about 13 pounds per person.

I ordered the Laksa soup noodles for lunch. It’s very delicious with a generous portion and a reasonable price. The atmosphere is nice,and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I’ve been to a few Chinese restaurants in this area and surrounding neighborhoods, and this one is definitely worthy of a visit.

Was amazed with the excellent food and service. It’s like Hong Kong’s authentic “cha chaan teng” with iced lemon tea. There are street parking and train station is just round the corner.

Pure Hong Kong style flavor, worth supporting!

We just visited this restaurant to have lunch ordered from the taste of HK menu. Each of the dishes tasted exactly how they should be, truly authentic. Prices are reasonable too, especially in this area. The owner Sunny greeted us and made us feel really welcomed. Overall a really satisfactory meal. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Hong Kong/Cantonese food a stones throw away from Hampton Court for a very reasonable price. The highlight for us was the Braised Pork Knuckle and Beef Ho Fun. Many thanks to Alex and team for the friendly service, we will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

My family and friends had a wonderful lunch at Chu Chin Chow today! The laksa, stir-fried beef ho fun, fried rice and stir-fried vegetables are very authentic and delicious! The HK-style hot milk tea was also fab! Can’t wait for visiting again in the near future!

This restaurant has been my favorite Hong Kong style restaurant since I came to the UK and I go there often. The food is delicious, the service from the staff is excellent, and the boss is friendly, humorous and talkative. They also gave me a special Mother’s Day drink that day, which was very heartwarming! Must-try pork knuckles crispy noodles，stir-fried beef rice noodles, beef brisket dumplings noodles soup.

Tuesday lunch, authentic Hong Kong style, fried beef, milk tea, dim sum, all 😍😍😍

I recently discovered this super delicious Chinese food. Whether it’s dim sum or stir-fried dishes, it’s all Hong Kong people’s taste. Later I found out that it’s the chef of Qian Daoxiang. No wonder he knows the taste so well. It’s not oily or greasy. It’s super high quality and everything is delicious. Eating has become my family’s canteen. I hope the chef can cook it for a few more days so that we can have it at any time without having to go to London.

I couldn't forget it after eating it a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the Hong Kong menu for lunch is not open every day. Today I finally couldn't help but ask two friends to accompany me to go shopping! The Pork Chop Rice with Onions, Fresh Tomatoes, and Rice Noodles with Onions and Tomatoes that I will never forget is equally delicious ❤️ This time I tried the Zola La Salad and Shredded Duck Rice Noodles with Pickled Vegetables. The lasagna and even the soup can be drank more clearly than I did 😂 The shredded duck is so delicious, everything is great. All very high quality. I was so full and drunk that I still had a lot of fun. I bought a lot of tofu and pork belly rice and went back home to cook for dinner. I didn’t expect this to be a more pleasant surprise. I’m a weird person and don’t like crispy roasted pork. The pork belly rice was juicy and I added a lot of it. For an hour, the puff pastry has a nice bite and is not too salty, so it shows off my taste❣️ P.S. Remember to take a photo before eating the Lasagna, pickled vegetables, shredded duck and rice 😂

I just wanted to share my recent experience at the best Chinese restaurant in our area - Chu Chin Chow. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but the hospitality there is top-notch. The staff are incredibly welcoming, and the boss, in particular, goes above and beyond to make every visit special. On Mother’s Day, he treated every mother to a special drink as a token of appreciation, which was such a thoughtful gesture. If you're looking for amazing Chinese cuisine and a warm, friendly atmosphere, I highly recommend checking out Chu Chin Chow. You won't be disappointed!

Food at Chu Chin Chow is good, especially the Hong Kong menu which is available during lunch time on Tue, Sat and Sun. True Hong Kong style and flavour. I like particularly the 肉絲脆麵 here, which is probably the best I have come across even including those local restaurants in Hong Kong. Dim Sum are the new addition to the menu and they are delicious. 奶茶 is also very good here and I always have it as a treat every time I come. Another thing is that the restaurant boss, manager and staff here are quite nice and friendly. Highly recommend.

I recently enjoyed a fantastic Sunday lunch at Chu CC, a hidden gem in Kingston KT area. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the staff and the owner were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the entire experience truly enjoyable. The Hong Kong milk tea and dry-fried beef hor fun, Lasha were reminiscent of my hometown restaurant and brought back waves of comfort. In my opinion, this is easily the best Chinese restaurant in the Kingston and Richmond area. The friendly staff at Chu CC went the extra mile to ensure a fantastic experience. They were attentive, courteous, and even offered recommendations based on my preferences, helping me choose the perfect dish. Overall, my experience at Chu CC was exceptional, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Bonus point: Finding three hours of free parking along the road was a breeze!

I was attracted by the positive comments of this restaurant on Google review for a long time. Finally, I had lunch there with my family today. The food was average. Ice lemon tea and ice milk tea were soso. They are lack of tea favor. The milk tea in Kingston “yimcha” is much better! The staffs were very nice and helpful! However, the boss came over and talked to us for awhile and I didn’t really like his attitude. He was so cool and no smile. FYI: it’s not easy to find parking space outside the restaurant. The parking space is narrow. I saw a car hit and run when the driver tried to park the car there!

The owner Sunny is friendly and allowing us to enter the restaurant a bit earlier than the normal opening hours :) Sunny and the friendly manager Alex introduced a few DELICIOUS dishes with Hong Kong taste and style and we enjoy the dishes very much. Excellent foods with friendly atmosphere. Dim sums are freshly made. Fried noodles, fried rice and ho fun are Hong Kong styles, very delicious. The only short coming are lunch only open on Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday. Staff are extremely friendly and professional.

My family and I recently dined at Chu Chin Chow, and it was an absolutely delightful experience that deserves a glowing review. We ordered the aromatic Peking duck with wraps, opting for a quarter size. To our surprise, the portion was incredibly generous – it was so sizeable that we initially thought it was a half duck. My husband couldn't get enough of the crispy duck, and the wraps added the perfect touch. The flavours were exquisite, and it quickly became a favourite at our table. Next up was the fried rice, which, despite the slightly smaller portion than expected, was filled with a delightful mix of ingredients with Char Chiu (barbecued pork), shrimps, and chicken. It was a perfect accompaniment to our meal. The highlight of the evening, however, was the sizzling steak in black bean sauce. Served sizzling hot, the steak was incredibly tender and perfectly marinated. We will definitely re-order the dish when we visit again. As a finishing touch, we were given complimentary mint chocolate thin. This delightful touch added an extra layer of sweetness to our overall visit, and we are now on the lookout for this delectable treat in local stores. Food aside, we owed our exceptional dining experience to the outstanding service provided by waiter Ken. Not only did he spare us the headache of choosing from the diverse culinary offerings on the menu by making recommendations, he also attended to our needs diligently throughout the evening. From timely tea refills to informing us when our food would arrive, Ken went above and beyond. We were especially impressed when we saw Ken taking the time to teach guests at another table how to use chopsticks, creating an atmosphere of laughter and camaraderie. His genuine passion for his job was evident through his infectious smile and dedication to ensuring every guest felt well attended to. He is undoubtedly a gem to the restaurant. We look forward to returning soon for another memorable meal.
