Definitely don’t Order from here on just eat.. you’d think Gordon Ramsey was the cook the way the prices went up in the last month you order chips as a separate item and they cram other items in the same box to take up space so you literally get a hand full of chips maybe change the name because there isn’t anything ******** humble about this place
A lovely cafe inside Tesco. Friendly and attentive, with good food and coffees. Will be sorry to see H&H go from this Tesco pub early May. Wishing the staff well!

Yesterday I ordered lamb kebab for me and my wife.
But when it arrived and we tried the lamb, it looked like it had been boiled.
No taste, sad food, would not recommend
The first time we ate it was great but this time we threw away the food.
It seemed like I ate gritty meat and it didn't have much flavor.
a food disaster, it seems that they have reused and taken advantage of it to avoid losing their product.
So bad food 😡😡😡😡😡😡
The food was ok/good. The service was atrocious! I arrived and was shown to a table but was not given a menu. Eventually I asked for one and was told I needed to order at the bar. My order was taken with no eye contact or interaction. My food was then dumped on my table and the waitress had left before I could ask for cutlery! I had to ask for a knife, fork and for a serviette.
There was plenty of staff around and they were not busy. In fact at one stage I observed two members of staff throwing nuts to catch in their months. No inquiry was made about my food. When I left, I passed multiple members of staff who did not speak to me. It was it as if I was completely invisible and I’ve no value to them! There was no hint of service in the experience.
Met up with friends for a leisurely, Sunday lunchtime meal overlooking the river but it needed to be dog-friendly.
Bingo.
The two young lads who looked after us were very helpful, Cameron constantly running up and down the stairs to fetch anything we needed, ie cutlery, mint sauce, extra potatoes and Yorkshire puddings, etc. He was attentive but not overbearing, certainly a credit to the owners of this particular property. Noah too, his colleague, was polite, professional and helpful.
The food was nice although many items were not available and this is always frustrating when you’re looking forward to it. Much of the menu was ‘out of stock’ but what we did have was satisfactory.
No cracking was available so it was substituted with pigs in blankets.
Our table overlooking the river was a real bonus and provided us with lovely views on a sunny afternoon.
In short, our meal centred on the service rather than the menu, or indeed lack of it. Friendly staff made us feel welcome, so too our dog.
It’ll be interesting to sample the menu on our next visit to see if more is available than was the case yesterday.
Not your fault, Cameron and Noah!
Wonderful food at a wonderful restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. The service was great and my friends and I had a marvellous time together. Thank you Wheatsheaf!
the driver was rude to my autistic son. he also parked across our neighbours drive despite the instructions asking not to do so. he complained there was no light but we have electric difficulties at the moment and he had no right to be rude to my son like that.
I just ordered a meal for one, and surprisingly, the chicken smelled bad and seemed old. I tried calling them, but no one answered. Come on, guys — you can't serve old chicken; it's a health hazard

Was served by an african guy at 11.25 pm. The service was very apauling and there was no response to order or any kind of communication. He remained silent through the whole transaction. It would be nice if someone acknowledged you specially if customers are paying your bills
I went for a meal with a friend on Sunday, 25th May 2025.
I have a wheat allergy so have to have gluten-free food.
There were several errors with my food from our waiter who was apparently new. However, the assistant Manager, Jack was fantastic when I brought them to his attention. He was hugely apologetic and even deducted the cost of the puddings, so we were very impressed with his customer service. The 5 stars for 'Service' are for how he dealt with it, so thank you, I will return!
