Great service from Lottie and her colleagues. Shame so many things on the menu were unavailable so someone there needs to sort out their supply chain - hardly difficult to predict a run on things when the weather is good across a bank holiday week! Burgers good though and prices reasonable, especially given the excellent location

I booked a table here our 25th wedding anniversary and was so disappointed first of all they new nothing about my booking. We then went to sit down my husband pulled a chair out it was so stained and filthy dirty he had to swap it for another there was food on the floor from lunch time disgusting state . We were going to have the meal deal 2 for £24 but was told they couldn't do it as not coming up on the till so my husband finished his drink and we went somewhere else never to return so our evening was totally ruined 😡😡

Would not recommend this restaurant for people with dietary restrictions. They have a gluten free menu but clearly advised us that they could not serve if the person was Celiac. Luckily is was a gluten intolerance and we could be served. On arrival there was no one to greet us or show us where to sit. Waited for a while on the front steps and then finally went looking for a server. We arrived on time for a 7pm reservation and while other tables had names there was none with our reservation even though they had our reservation on the system. So we sat at a random table…while they held the good tables (with the nice view) for people who were coming much later in the evening. In fact when I phoned earlier to ask if we could moved our reservation to 7:30pm they said it was not possible - yet 4-5 tables around us sat empty even until we left at 8:30pm.. Most things on the menu were not available at 7pm on a Saturday night. The gluten free menu had 3 dishes and 1 salad - but only 1 dish and the 1 salad were actually available. The Regular menu had many items not available (for example the “signature sharer” and several other items. Ordered food at 7:20- did not come out till 8pm. When it did come out the burgers were definitely not worth the £15 price. The falafel and Lamb shank was better. At 8:25pm when we asked to order dessert we were told the kitchen was closed due to a stock issue. This was at 8:25pm on a Saturday night, rather baffling. Reading the other reviews I see that this has happened before. The young lady who served us was lovely but had to apologise multiple times for unavailable items after placing the order. I think this place is best suited for drinks, pity as location is great. Disappointing night out.

I did not eat food hear but stopped to get a pint of lemonade with ice (£4.35) and sat outside on a bench with my dog while I drank it. The water was calm though the place was packed and noisy and I prefer places less crowded or with more space in between benches and less smoke from smokers. That is why my wxperienc was just ok for a brief hydrating stop, albeit a bit pricey.

I recently visited this bar and I must say, it was an experience worth sharing. The location is fantastic, I don’t normally write reviews however one member of staff deserves a shout out. The real star of the day was Cameron. His service was excellent. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the day. His knowledge of the drinks menu was impressive and his recommendations were spot on! The ambiance of the bar was lively and welcoming, making it a great place for both casual hangouts and special occasions. I highly recommend this bar for anyone looking for a great day or night out. We had our Wedding reception with you and we just wanted to say thank you and how amazing you all are at The Anglers! From the day we popped in to see the place to the actual day, we were so pleased with everything! It’s such a lovely space you have with great views. You were so accommodating with letting us set up the room how we wanted and our deliveries of cake and balloons. We had a fantastic 3 course meal! Everyone loved the food and were raving about it for ages. So much better than just pub grub. This was really amazing food and so perfectly presented for all our guests. All the staff that helped with the organisation and on the day were incredible. They were so polite and attentive (not at all invasive). We literally couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you so much. Used to love going to Anglers when visiting Walton, however our last visit there earlier this month was SO disappointing, We sat outside which used to be a lovely spot, however there was rubbish everywhere under the tables. Dropped cutlery, crisp packets and used serviettes in danger of being blown into the river, and dog poo bags. It was really sad to see. The staff were so inattentive we sat at a dirty table for ages before it was finally cleaned, when ordering food there were 3 staff behind the bar chatting to each other and not interested in serving waiting customers an the food was totally ordinary. We would love to go back and experience how it used to be put were so put off, I doubt we will ever return now.

So got drinks nice and easy go to order food no steak so was offered slow cooked rib of beef i dont like mash so changed for fries which was probably the best thing on the plate the neat was so fatty and not very warm the cabbage was stone cold and the gravy well with disappointment already dont matter also no fish and chips . No check backs on food were done which when working in hospitality should be done to make sure customers are happy when waitress did come over I explained i wasnt happy with my food and told her what was wrong with which either didn’t get relayed to manager as none one came to even apologise

We went for a Sunday roast and it’s was the best roast personally I have ever had!! At the beginning there was a few hiccups as we had booked a table and we was seated in the perfect place as we had a dog with us who was slightly dog aggressive but then was asked to move to a more open area surrounded by other dogs we did wonder why as there was a mum and son who got the same place as us who got to stay without issues the place and the table we had moved from stayed empty til we finished so we asked jade the hostess ( who also kept a kind and friendly attitude the whole time and made the experience wonderful) and she was very polite and nice about the whole situation explain as to why we moved very calmly and didn’t become rude in anyway!! Over all the staff out did themselves as it was very hot out and extremely busy the waiter we had was very tired but he did a good job considering the heat and stress load would go again but when it’s less busy…GREAT JOB GUYS!!!

Over priced medioke food which I know is what they serve in the regent opposite M,S in walton as its the same company that owns both and I was a regular there and constantly seen managers and staff pulling up outside to run into the kitchen at the regent to take food from the freezer for the anglers cause they ran out , the only difference being the price you pay for it I remember ordering a sausage and mash and gravey mountain once at the regent and it was 9 sausages a mountain of mash and a plant of onion grave I no that sounds ridiculous but its true came out hot did quite finish it all but walk away with a full belly and happy with it for 11 pounds drink not included, weeks later on a hot day my sister who lives in walton suggested we go to the anglers cause my three big brothers and mum came down and it was a hot day. We got there and sat inside as outside was packed told my brothers get the sausage and mash cause I new it was the same food as the regent new it wasn't going to be a massive portion like that but what turned up was a plate with a small sized bowl shape of mash turned upside down three little sausages poked in with a drizzle and I mean a drizzle of gravey on, it was cold and cost 14 pounds 🤔 and my family our from up north we like gravey ,and value for money, you can imagine my 3 older brothers discust when they looked at that then looked at me , I thought I was in for a few slaps when leaving ,, but took them to the regent before they left and showed them the difference and it more then made up for it quality, quantity and price 😊 so if your after beautiful views of the river on a sunny day and don't mind spending for over priced drinks and medioke well over priced food its the place to be , but if you want a cheaper day out go the regent and get a proper poirtion of the same food cheaper ,cheaper drinks and tvs on all the wall and little booths for the sports even ask them to turn a certain TV to watch what you want, Then go down to the Swan our the anglers to enjoy the lovely sunshine and views even nip into the little shop on the way down get a few cheap ones in and sit actually on the river till a space opens up in there busy gardens and just get drinks , my sister has lived down her for more then 20 yrs and gets on a bit well to do and doesn't mind paying over the odds weather it's good our not , I'm still able to see a rip of when I see one , I've heard they might be stopping food in the regent now cause other patterns from there our saying the same thing and they have the take away business k town running at the regent in there kitchen now which must make them more money as a company running both pubs, if that's the case it's a sad day for all the old lady's and men from the self contained flats and the home opposite wilkos near aldi and single parents and others who can't afford the prices of ( well to do establishments) cause were there based, they were there religious every weekend I was in and that was most early till close not so much now , but it gives them something different to do on the weekends a little treat they can afford if it wasnt for them the place would have struggled to survive after there licence was took away for late night discos and karaoke nights, rightful as it was mayhem but seems that's what there intending for the regent now as a company of the anglers and the regent , make the regent just a sports bar and music which works for sports with the tv isn't workin for the dj they have on 🤔 regular pass friday, saturday nights and now there's no one in with 4 bouncers on the door 😂 it used to have people lining up to get in when a used to be there which is when I'd leave sometimes 😊 as you had loads of young drunks spilling out on to walton high Street fueled with drink, and causing carnage and now they have there licence back there trying to do it again that won't happen the first sign of any confirmation of trouble leaving the regent will piss on this big companys parade and be shut down once again off the council I new of of managers it's sad 🙏

Anglers used to be a nice pub. Not any more. Still lovely to sit by the river outside but inside is old and grubby, seems they have not invested in this place for a long time. 1 star review for food - barely edible. Chicken skewer did not look much like chicken and it was rather disgusting to eat. After one bite we asked them kindly if they could change it, it was refused. Service overall was very poor. The online booking system was a very straight forward process, and we'd visited here on the last Easter Bank Holiday Sunday. We had exceptional food and service, hence the revisit! Ricky, Cameron, Carl and the staff are always polite helpful and always willing to satisfy. We opted for some drinks pre dinner and the Peroni was excellent! It was quite busy in and outdoors with a relaxed and warm atmosphere. We opted for the Sunday Roast - Beef Sirloin, and it didn't disappoint! Our compliments to Wez the chef, and the taste of the food was top notch! My Niece ordered a dessert following the main course and said it was superb - again, thanks Wez! We had a couple of post dinner drinks to celebrate my Daughters 30th birthday and each one was really good. This is a GEM of a find and we'll look forward to visiting here again when we visit our family in Weybridge - keep up the good work all. See you soon - Jeff

We had a wonderful experience at this pub! It’s an amazing location right on the river. We booked an area upstairs and pre-ordered our food since there was about 40 of us. We did the 50km thames tow path walk and it was great to frequent the Anglers afterwards for a few drinks and food. The team were very helpful beforehand and we pre-ordered the food. They ensured it was served at the time we specified. It was a shame that the bar upstairs wasn’t open, Ricky mentioned the payment terminals were down. This would have meant the drinks would’ve been flowing better. But I understand these things happen sometimes. Thanks again for such a lovely experience!

Awful food, no atmosphere and horrific music on a Sunday so bad it made us and others leave, the Swan is much nicer next door.

The beef pie and steak were great and the ale was smooth. The beautiful view just set the mood and staff made sure everything was on par with it. If you go there which I suggest you do, cap your evening up with walk on the riverside to just let it all come together.

Great Sunday Roasts! Especially the triple meat version. Slow roasted, tender and very tasty! Not normally a Sunday Roast fan, but at The Anglers it was marvellous!

A very dissatisfying and disappointing experience! Such a beautiful setting but sadly spoilt by the food, lack of drinks and service. We were told there was no white wine available, only chardonnay. The food was dry, not edible and not worth the money. The garlic bread is 1 ½ slices of toast with garlic butter, ridiculous for £3.00. When the food arrived at our table it was just literally the food. No cutlery, no seasoning, no serviettes, so unfortunately we cannot even say the service was good.

Visited as part of large family birthday celebration. Food was excellent especially for a party of 60 guests. Staff were efficient and polite. Upstairs dining area is very pleasant with great views of the river. Wonderful setting but limited on parking spaces which is understandable due to the location. Well worth a visit and well done to the new management team.

Ordered few cold brews and had lots of ice. The lady staff was so rude and didn't prepare the drink well. The brews didn't mix well and said most of the machines is out of service; like the blender an
