The best restaurants in Eastleigh South East

We had some work to do in Hamble today thought we’d pop in for a pint before Home have always known about this pub but never visited. Lovely looking building the beer was great The only downside was the welcome by an older lady who works here!! Think she was having a bad day is all I can guess ! Really puts a downer on the place , the young lady behind the bar was great but I felt she was restricted by the very bad vibes Such a shame a jolly welcome would have lifted the whole atmosphere

Very disappointed with the food. Portions were small and food lacked flavour. Lovely little pub but would not eat here again 🙄

Came here last night for the re-opening. Lovely atmosphere and a good selection of drinks.

First visit following change of management. Excellent welcome, great atmosphere, excellent service and top class food. The pie was exceptional. Will be recommending friends to visit the Red Lion and it will be on our visit again list. Thank you to all the staff

My friend has her husband s funeral there and it was a amazing experience ,, the staff were amazing ,, the atmosphere was brilliant ,, would recommend this place to anyone 👍

Staff are friendly, check back done before I had taken a bite of my meal though, I had only just put the salt and sauce on my plate. I love the refurbishment, the restaurant looks much better now. Tables need cleaning as soon as customers leave, several rather grubby, and a mucky floor when we arrived unfortunately. I ordered a half chicken, a butterfly chicken breast, and 2 portions of chips, the gentleman taking my order asked if the chips were to share, I said they were. I was rather surprised to find all of the chips on my plate when the waitress (eventually) brought our food, hubby just had a lonely butterfly chicken on his plate lol. We popped in before a movie, had allowed an hour, as it used to take 30 minutes to order and eat, thought we would have plenty of time. Unfortunately, it took over 40 minutes to get our food, even though the restaurant was half empty. We ended up being 10 minutes late going into the cinema, very annoying. It’s very expensive now, over £45 for 2 portions of chicken, 2 portions of chips, and 2 drinks. Nice for a treat though. Had the service been better and the prices a bit lower I would have given 4*’s.

Oh dear … after our previous good visit back in the summer we decided to come back and treat ourselves to tea and cake but oh my how it’s changed !!! The toilet was filthy the food didht look appealing and welcome was non existent . Wont be coming back I’m afraid . Such a shame I won’t recommend again.

Always s freindly place and the food is good. The little one loves the place, especially the salad bar and deserts. Today we had Sammy and she was lovely and helpful. Definitely recommend for some nice food and good customer service.

The most appalling service. An hour and a half until lunchtime meal was served.much of the menu was not available. Didn't bother ordering another drink or dessert...just 2 guys trying to do it all with probably 30 guests. Shocking. GET SOME STAFF. Waste of a lovely venue. Never again until service improves vastly.

No muy bien. Solíamos venir aquí cuando vivíamos cerca y eran increíbles. Lamentablemente hoy en día las patatas fritas estaban poco cocidas como de color pálido y tenían extremos negros. El pescado estaba tan grasiento que en realidad no podía comerlo. No volveré a ir y NO recomendaría.

Absolutely awful service.... not only were we given an hour n half to wait they were then over an hour late from then.... after several calls to them kept saying it's on way and when it eventually arrived it was cold and half the order missing!!! To say I'm fuming is an understatement! This was a treat for mothers day for me and they completely ruined it!

Bit of a disappointment. Not all savoury items shown on on-line menu were available at our location. On placing order the staff member was sterne and not very welcoming. We ordered Mexican nachos. These were obviously to be eaten with fingers, no napkins were supplied offered. Our drinks arrived in bottles, no straws or glasses were supplied or offered. Deserts arrived, carrot cake was warm with frosting melting, think it had been frozen and defrosted in microwaved. Doughnut I think was a similar story. Knickerbocker sunday was OK. Overall a disappointing visit with no intention of returning. Lots of the seats had taped up repairs.
