Golden Jade in Eastleigh

We purchased from Golden Jade a little reluctantly as our favourite local Chinese takeaway was closed. Now we have a new favourite! The portions were generous, reasonably priced, the quality was good and was not greasy like some can be. Staff were nice and friendly too! Will definitely be going back.

Ordered on Just Eat accepted order and said delivered on app. Call resident who informed me after chasing order it was cancelled. If restaurant was honest and cancelled order at beginning then no problems.

The food is generally really good but its just so damn expensive now. Everything is but this is just crazy. £8.00 for a small container of a given ‘dish’ is just a mega no. £50.00 easily spent for one meal when you can make lovely stuff at home. Learn to cook from home like we have. :(

The food is seriously not the best, chicken balls had raw dough in side, let alone having more dough than chicken, the beef chowmein wasnt great, the beef was like chewing leather im sorry but wont be eating here again. All this with a portion of egg fried rice £16, rip off

Really awful to be honest, I would actually say the worst Chinese I've ever had, not even simple dishes were nice, oil needed to be changed too.

We absolutely love Golden Jade, it’s been our local Chinese takeaway since we moved to our house and we’re so lucky! The food is incredible, with top quality ingredients and the team are so polite and prompt. 10/10!

Standard take out. Food was hot. Not the best but a good price for what you get.

I will never use this place again, 28 pounds for food one could not eat, burnt, and tasteless, even took food back it was that bad, been using them for 8 years, but never again, and so very rude. Do not use also called them and again so very very rude. Better take outs close by.. dont throw the your money away, even they put in the bin

Food nice,but shortage of prawns

Wow this has to be the worse Chinese takeaway we have ever had. The Pancake role was inedible with batter so thick around the outside is was stodgy. Mushrooms tasted old and earthy with just cornflour making the sauce gluppy. Chowmein was also stodgy and cold and the smoked chicken was just dry and takes hours to chew it was terrible. That was £25 just wasted and money is tight and this was our first treat for almost 4 weeks and I feel totally ripped off. Don't bother and spend your money on heating as you will have more enjoyment from that.

The food was recooked and then I'm getting food poisoning not a very nice chicken.

Joyful service and a hearty dish from golden jade fair oak. However no prawn crackers with my meal of a total of £28.00 do I not feel like I am deserving the side dish of crackers with any Chinese meal purchase. It wasn't a review of lack of but I am entitled to know what and when side dishes are included I did not receive this information when ordering any dish from this Chinese takeaway. Menu has description for what and where the ordeal of crackers are included within set meals.

The worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. Curry was watery, disgusting and too salty. The chips tasted hard inside like they had been hanging over the fryer for ages. You won't see my money again. Should be ashamed of the slop you are serving!

I only live 5 minutes away but they were still almost an hour late!! Food was terrible. The rice tasted like it was made the day before! Terrible flavours to everything in the order I might add! I was starving but after tasting a little bit of that I couldnt eat it had to bin! Thats a waste of £20. I will not be ordering from here again!

Quality Restaurant service great the food and menus top notch.

Personally wouldn't go back here, nor would I recommend. Used this Chinese once and the food was inedible, greasy, and quite frankly bland. Phoned to complain and the lady on the end of the phone was VERY rude, and would not accept our comments nor believe them. We then drove back to the premises with the inedible Chinese to show her, who again, shouted etc. (Embarrassing on their behalf as other customers were listening.) - Still didn't like what we had to say. Wouldn't refund our full amount of money either despite showing evidence and taking all the food back to her. I will not be returning (nor will my other family members.) - I'd avoid.

The food was edible, but each dish had its own problems. Overall bland, lacking in depth of flavour you would expect. Real shame, first time we tried this place and will be the last.

Food tasted like vinegar, chicken curry was horrific and the chicken was like slime. I appreciate its NYE but absolutely shocking would never order from here again

Possibly the worst Chinese takeaway I've ever had. The hot and sour soup had the consistency of gravy, though was actually very tasty. The rest of the meal was shocking. Chinese curry was creamy, pale and tasteless. Golden Jade special was practically inedible. The chicken in both meals was clearly frozen pre-cooked chicken, the beef was 80% gristle, grey and slimy, and while the prawns looked ok frankly I couldn't trust them.

Service was very quick unfortunately food was very poor. Sweet and sour chicken balls were in uncooked batter. Beef and Pork dishes were bland and tasteless. Won't be going back here again.

The golden jade is the best In this area for Chinese food. Always go here without fail, it is very reasonably priced. The staff are lovely and knowledgeable about diatery needs

Stopped halfway through my meal to write this, I waited a little bit longer than usual but well worth the wait I lived in Southampton for a year and tried to find a good Chinese takeaway.. this is the one from here on in

Foods good. Needs to get its own online ordering service instead just eat which adds on extra money.

Used tonight and everything was over cooked and not really able to eat it and paying nearly 25.00 pounds for something that you can not eat is very bad. Then to make matters worst when call to tell them was only offered for them to tell the chef and a new meal sent which is not something that i wanted very bad service would not use again.

The lady made me walk down the stairs from the top floor of my flat to collect the food. I wasn't feeling very well on the day I ordered and mentioned to the lady I wouldn't order again as she's made me walk down and I wasn't feeling well. She gave a response of I don't mind. I feel a good business should listen to customers and try to retain their custom. As far as the food goes wasn't terrible but wasn't the best. The service however left a sour taste!

Been ordering food for at least 13 years from this place. Used to be absolutely top notch but recently the quality has dropped noticeably and have used them less and less. Some time ago I ordered a chicken curry and the sauce was well....like something I could have made myself from some Bisto and puke. Tonight I ordered another £15 worth of food only to discover the King Prawn Satay more like a Thai curry than a Satay - no trace of peanuts to be found and the one prawn I put in my mouth got spat down the toilet. A real shame as the Golden Jade used to be very dependable with consistent good quality. Its very poor now and I think I need to find another Chinese takeaway in future.

Lovely food but can get busy at weekends

Ordered takeaway (delivery) through JustEat. Food took a little longer than the "up to an hour" stated on Just Eat to arrive (1hr15) but it was Friday night and when I called they did say they were very busy. Food was great. Crispy beef, was spicy and very good. Would use again through Just Eat
