The best restaurants in Brighton and Hove South East

Only gripe on this visit was that for some reason the wife's hot chocolate was overly sweet. Asked a member of staff as to the reason and was told oh its just the machine??

Arrived at 12.55 on a Sunday. Restaurant was busy but expected that on a Sunday before Christmas. Had to queue for ages to order our food and drinks. Drinks were bought to us reasonably quickly but our food took far too long to arrive. Noticed other diners were chasing their food 😞. Tables were left with dirty plates on for ages, not nice to look at whilst waiting. Food was nice. Why don't they have an order via an app service? Staff were apologetic but not enough of them!

Lovely, friendly place. A warm welcome and great high quality homecooked and extra delicious pub food and including delicious veggie option. Can’t wait to go back when next in Rottingdean.

Terribly cold food and the rudest staff do not get a delivery from here I guarantee you will be disappointed with how long you wait and the temperature of the food and they will do nothing to rectify it absolutely terrible

Traditional Fish & Chips by the Sea. Simply Best chip shop chips I've tasted in a long time took me back to being a kid. There is a queue most of the day but this moves super quick and is just showing how good the food is worth a couple minutes wait. Home made curry sauce

Amazing staff. The lovely lady fills up ur box and even added a few pieces of curry goat to our jerk chicken. Food inlets in ur mouth incredible flavour and quality

Just had the chicken bucket must admit much better than kfc.Great service.

35£ for a plate of scallops from the catch a f the day menu and overprice cheap bread. The scallops were only 5 and tiny. Now called coco bites. Don’t eat here. Scammers.

I go here maybe once a month, or just less than, and the food is always so good, and the service is very nice, and it's just a lovely atmosphere. I love the maki, and green tea, and their pumpkin katsu curry is very good. I also love how you can see the chefs making the food.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Pizza Express! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. The pizza was nothing short of perfection—crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, with a generous amount of toppings. I particularly loved that you can choose the dough type as your own choice. The menu offered a great variety, and the dishes were beautifully presented. I also appreciated the quick service, making it perfect for a casual meal with working friends. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious pizza and great service. I can’t wait to return!

Super friendly service. We had a lovely brunch, Welsh rarebit, eggs benedict and a jumbo breakfast and we were persuaded to try the “best chips in Brighton “ Everything was freshly prepared and tasty.
