Best cocktail bar of the week, friendly, great vibe, unusual flavour combinations and beautiful decor. Chris served us and we learnt a lot including how to make crystal clear ice cubes and how to brand them. Highly recommend

Exceptional cocktails with very talented staff and a grownup chilled vibe. Highlight was the Meringue Tang which tastes exactly like lemon meringue pie! Like to the point where it legit tricks your mind into thinking you're eating a dessert...genius!

We visited on a busy Friday night & sat upstairs for cocktails, we were served by Amy & our bartender Henry - they were both lovely, attentive, and so accommodating - even when we let them know we had a train to catch soon. We had espresso martinis which were delightful, followed by a grasshopper on the bartender's recommendation which was incredible too. The vibe in there is impeccable, there is a gothic archway upstairs - very atmospheric. I can't thank our hosts enough for a wonderful experience. Very highly recommend. I'll certainly be back next time I'm in Brighton.

Service amazing, London prices but for better than London quality drinks. I can’t fault anything at this venue. Atmosphere giving that jazzy speak easy, romantic but also adaptive to be lively. Definitely book to avoid disappointment, we went Tuesday evening and was pleasantly busy.

Where to start, for me this has to be one of if not the best cocktail bars I've been to. The drinks are superb and the staff are happy to go off menu for something different. Some of the guys we got chatting to Adam, Chris and Mikey really know their stuff and were great fun. Thanks for making our visit feel special 👍👍🍸

I fell in love with the atmosphere. The staff provided excellent service and recommended drinks that perfectly matched my preferences. The music was great, and the seating on the second floor was beautiful. I will definitely return.

Went for some cocktails while visiting Brighton, loved the decor lots of detail but nothing felt overdone. The whole bar smelt amazing (incense sticks) and the lighting was great. The cocktails were yummy - shout out to their spicy marg! The bartenders were friendly and gave us some great recommendations for restaurants nearby. Would definitely go back next time we are Brighton.

Amazing place to visit for cocktails. Went Saturday evening in the upstairs room. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the orange blossom cocktail was awesome. The decoration and atmosphere is great as well.

Amazing cocktails! Amazing olives!!!

A gem. I got an off-menu Pisco Sour and it was the best I've had in Brighton. They have a varied cocktail menu, but are happy to serve classics. Drinks are well-crafted and the bartenders clearly enjoy making and experimenting with delicious cocktails. The cocktails are fairly priced and (speaking for weeknights/ when it's quieter) the atmosphere was perfect for our date night (LGBT+ inclusive space). There was a small group of friends sat across from us (about 6-7 people) but I wouldn't recommend this place for groups larger than that.

Music, decor, furniture and atmosphere were brilliant. So chilled. Bar staff were brilliant and so knowledgeable. The cocktails were second to none, and didn't mind spending a bit more on as they were top notch. Definitely going back at the next opportunity I have! (p.s. can't comment on the food, as they just do nibbles and we'd eaten).

Always a pleasure visiting the PP. Such a warm welcome and very very knowledgeable on the drinks and your tastes. We always come back and are never dissappointed. No food, except bar snacks but they pair with cocktails, especially the smoked nuts!. See you again soon

The atmosphere and service were 10/10. Really good wine fairly priced. The olives were excellent. (Kinda wanna keep the place my little secret). Also both the girl and guy (from Seville) who attended us were very friendly and gave us an amazing service. 10/10 recommended (just don’t book the whole place so I can find a table haha)

Absolute gem of a find down a somewhat unassuming street. Stunning cocktails and the bartenders can also rustle up requests ( I had a real hankering for a grasshopper which wasn't on the menu but was made to perfection 👌) The indoor decor is a bit gothic and suits the venue perfectly. Highly recommend

Cosy cocktail bar in Kemptown. Well made cocktails. Can be busy and loud at the weekend. During the week it's pretty relaxed.

Lovely little bar, the cocktails were amazing especially the Margherita Twist (I think that's what it was called). But we did get ID'd on the door which we found a bit odd since we both look clearly of age lmao and although we were told it's table service, it was very hard to get the waiters' attention so the service lacked a bit, especially when the cocktails where on par with London prices.

Little hidden place, but once you find it, you are hooked.

This didn’t quite work - it’s trying to be a chill hole in the wall and also a very polished elevated bar at once, and it’s neither. The cocktails and service were ok, music too loud, and too many mirrors and tacky shiny decor. They absolutely should not accept large group bookings - we left when a big group of drunk lads arrived and I felt so bad for the staff having to deal with them.

We've been visiting this lovely establishment for quite a few years now and have never been disappointed. We were spoilt by Eilish (apologies if I've spelt your name wrong) with the most fabulous nails 💅🏿 and the gang and the highlight of our drinks on this occasion was the 'Negroni Mango Sorbeto'. Pure delight in a glass! Must find an excuse to visit again soonest! 😁

Nice, historic building. Cocktails are pricy, but the service is excellent, really friendly and knowledgeable. Somewhere to take people to impress with how classy it is, yet informal, very social place for a fine cocktail and laughter.

Been to Brighton a million times, first time I've visited The Plotting Parlour and will be coming back every time I return. Mikey and Sarah were absolute babes. Cocktails 10/10, vibe equally as good.

This was a great experience! We went here during Pride. The staff were extremely friendly and the drinks were creative and delicious. The vibe here was also great, and it made for a lovely evening. I’d definitely come back here!

I have walked past this place so many times, but we decided to pop in for a drink. Was greeted at the door by the most lovely ladies, super friendly and very welcoming! Went to sit in the "dark side", the atmopshere was lovely. Had a scottish cider (which I didn't even know was a thing!) and it was so good. But the highlight was the cocktails! Had a Ginger and Chilli Margarita and it was sublime! I cannot wait to go back here again soon!

Hidden treat. The relaxing smell of a high end spa gives a warm embrace as you enter. We had a secluded corner, atmospherically lit and hidden away but the staff knew where to find us and were very attentive and willing to help us experiment with different flavours.

Cosy cocktail bar tucked away on the edge of Kemptown. Booked a table for a group of friends and enjoyed the bar's selection of interesting cocktails. The staff were knowledgeable about questions and requests and the bar was well stocked with a range of spirits. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed drink where the music is subtle enough to hold conversation.

Fancy for some classic cocktails before bedtime. Lucky got there just before the door was closed, but still, the service was fantastic. I've had THE BEST CAIPIRINHA in the last 12 years. Well done, guys!!!

Sadly the staff really let this venue down. The drinks are wonderful and the consent quite unique in Brighton… but being told to wait outside and someone will come out to see if they can ‘accommodate us’ was extremely rude. My friend got turned away for being on his own, apparently they don't usually allow singles in?? For a small city venue with extortionate priced drinks I would expect the highest levels of customer service, sadly all we received is wishful pretence.

We had a really awful experience with this bar. It started off great. They found the four of us a table and the cocktails were great. However one of us accidentally dropped a glass on floor. This was because the edges of the table had an odd and not flat edge. She went to put it on the table and it fell off. We didn’t think this was an issue at first and apologised. However 10 minutes later a female staff member came over with our bill and asked us to leave because apparently we were all drunk! They clearly thought we were drunk enough not to realise they had doubled the amount of drinks we had on our bill. After a lot of complaining and trying to fight our corner as to why they continue serving us, they ‘corrected’ the bill and insisted we leave. None of us were drunk, we were enjoying the cocktails and the atmosphere. Now because of that customer service experience, we wouldn’t visit again. We would only recommend this place if you sit there in silence and don’t enjoy yourself, and also don’t mind staff trying to get one over on you and doubling your bill because they ‘think you’re drunk’.

This is the best cocktail bar in Brighton. The quality of the drinks is really high and their signature menu is so so good. It’s a clever combination of friendly and stylish. Last night for some reason the service was a bit slow. By which I mean the waiter didn’t come back to us when we’d finished our drinks so in the end we decided to leave rather than have a second round (which we were keen to have) because we waited so long it got too late to have another one. The people at the next table had a similar problem - they tried and tried to get his attention and also got up and left in the end. Also the waiter forgot to bring our water for quite a while and also didn’t bring the olives we’d asked for. I have never had this kind of problem before here so I guess it was a dodgy night. Always in the past it has been friendly and efficient and I still highly recommend this place as the best drinks in town. If I hadn’t had this experience last night it would have been a clear five star review. The drinks themselves are still definitely five star quality.

The best cocktails! My particular fave was the guava cocktail. I absolutely love the interior and the staff were amazing, a little bit slow so I had to ask the bartenders for drinks. But I’d come back again!

This is a long due act of appreciation for the place and their team. Extremely hospitable with great knowledge of drinks and amazing cocktail menu. If you’re a fan of classic cocktails they’ll probably make whatever you ask for and it’ll be properly balanced and super tasty.

I met up with an old friend I haven’t visited in years. We were so busy catching up I didn’t have the chance to fully go through the cocktail menu. Long story short: a lovely person called Harrison made me a delightful, bespoke, drink by asking me what sort of flavours I enjoyed. The entire event was a full experience involving fire and smoke. The second drink was even better than the first. Thank you Harrison for your wonderful service and patience. My dear friend and I had the most fabulous evening. Harrison is an asset to the venue. Popped in with my wife. Nice atmosphere. But wasn't imprrssed with the coctials.... First waiter said feel free to order off menu. When my wife asked for something really sweet, like a pudding like cocktail the secound waiter just suggested a irish cream and amerto. .. Barely a coctail really... No other suggestions. My cocktail off the valentine menu wasnt great. All in all okay. But i won't be coming back

Also, I don’t drink but my partner does, and they were incredibly accommodating to this, I felt included in the bar culture without just having to order a soft drink, thank you :)

Absolutely can’t recommend this place highly enough! The cocktails and service are both excellent. We had booked for pre dinner drinks and came back after dinner for more because they were all so good and so unique. The bartender even let us try the Brighton special shot which we unfortunate can’t remember the name of now but it was delicious!

Had a cocktail with my partner after doing some Christmas shopping. The hot toddy was so nice! Exactly what you want - warm, comforting and full of citrus and spice. They had the pumpkin spice old fashioned which looked and tasted amazing - not too sweet at all. My partner uses a wheelchair and although there is a high step to get in the staff were really accommodating and helped us take it into the bar so we could sit and have our drinks without worrying about it being parked outside

Fabulous cocktail bar. Classy with a cool vibe. Just a stone’s throw from the beach. When I visited they were busy so initially got a seat right at the back (which was fine but a little cramped). When a nicer table became available the waiter came and found us and asked if we’d like it … we didn’t even ask! What service 🤩 Cocktails are fantastic, beautifully crafted and very interesting. And all the staff I met were lovely. Highly recommend a visit 🍸

Haven’t been back in over 5 years but it still has that same incredible quality of service, drinks and vibe. My personal favourite Martini in Brighton and their signature menu is phenomenal! If you have a chance to catch the plum & tonka bean Negroni special, get down and try it quick! Special mentions to our server, Georgia and the bartender Aiden. Great drinks, especially the Flight of the Buffalo, but many cocktails were a touch "wet". Also we were cramped up in a small space for 6 people which would be tight for 4...... Shame it was so dark inside so my photos are not so good

Came here for a few drinks on a Saturday night. Was a lovely place with unique drinks. We booked ahead and got a table upstairs. When they seated us around 7pm there was nobody else there but it did fill out towards the end and had a nice vibe.
