McDonald's in Brighton and Hove

The last couple of times I have been here after doing my weekly shop and wanted a quick bite to each after, the wait time for ‘fast’ food is ridiculous! I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but waiting nearly half an hour for a quick meal from McDonald’s is crazy. Always tons of other people too waiting around for their food, I’ve seen some people wait longer than me just for a couple coffee’s!

I've visited many times since it had opened a couple years back, and being a local, more often than not visit daily just for a coffee and the odd McMuffin, but the service and wait time especially in recent times has been ridiculous. Waiting just over 10 minutes for a Cappuccino is far below par for what the item is, and considering most come in for that early morning, I'm surprised more focus isn't put on that section. There's also been many occasions where there isn't any sugar packets, wooden stirrers or napkins available in the main area. If you don't use the app to order in advance, you're either abandoned at the counter waiting to be seen, or left waiting for long periods while they slowly make your order. The front desk staff and team have always been great, and never cause conflict when other customers are having problems hence why its not as low as 1 star. I think the management or franchise owner has/is severely miscalculating the placement of this store, being next to a busy supermarket, and in general misunderstood that McDonald's is meant to be fast, and cheap (although the latter is probably decided way beyond them)

Well priced food and meals a decent size to keep hunger away for a bit. Wide range of food available and offers always being given.

All I got from my meal was my McFlurry- fuming been hungry all day was expecting to actually get some food but here we are

Empty as it could be realistically at half 6 on a Wednesday. Even with such low demand for food, it took over 30 min to make 2 big macs

I was not happy with my food as I was missing my whole order and I have asked for this to be reviewed I hope for a solution in terms of a refund soon. The only good thing was that the driver was at least on time. Thank you

I think the branch manager here must be absolutely useless. Every time we come here there is a new problem. Last time there were no lids which unfortunately means by some ridiculous policy that they cannot serve coffee! This time, they simply don’t seem to have any coffee apart from black coffee. How do you guys have any customers here?!

Arrived stone cold 2.5 hours after ordering and when it did arrive app still said processing order. should be able to cancel when it goes beyond an hour late as had to make other arrangements. won't use just eat again

Our order was missing three dips to go with our food with was disappointing.

I recently visited McDonald's with my family and had a disappointing experience. We ordered several items, including a McSpicy burger. When our food arrived, we sat down to eat, but I quickly noticed that my McSpicy burger was missing lettuce.I approached the counter to ask for a replacement and was left waiting for an extended period. Unfortunately, by the time I received the new burger, the moment to enjoy a warm meal with my family had passed. To make matters worse, the replacement burger had only a little more lettuce than the first one—far from what I expected (see attached picture).This experience has left me with the impression that the staff here doesn’t prioritize quality or service. Based on this visit, I’m likely to avoid McDonald’s for a while. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of care at a place we usually enjoy.

All the food was cold I want a refund

I hadn't been for a very long time. I went in as I wanted something fast on a late Sunday morning. I waited no less than 25 to 30 minutes. So did another customer who wanted a fillet o fish sandwich. The manager apologized as I asked for her to inform her. They only have one temperature measuring tool (I was told). Hence the delay! When I had the fish sandwich, it was close to half the size I had one years back and more than double the money! Not impressed with time to serve, pricing or the size of sandwich. Real 'shrinkflation'. I hope they can improve.

I ordered melon and I received cucumber (take away) Also, I placed the order at the device, the screen said it was ready for collection, but I had to wait for 10 other orders that were before me. I don't understand why it says that it is ready for the collection if they haven't even started on it.

Delivery took a while from tracking it. Food was luke warm at best. Items were missing. Not great.

Waited almost half an hour for a breakfast even tho there was only 5 others who had ordered. workers must have been pegging each other in the kitchen cuz there’s no way a human with any functioning brain capacity can’t make a meal in less than 10 minutes. Avoid this maccies at all costs, had to revert to using my emergency bag of sniff as I rewarded myself for not chinning anyone.

New to me but in need of cleaning and cleanliness, plentyof staff though most chatting in groups ignoring restaurant. Service badly slow, whole screen of orders ready to go and 1 person slowly bringing items out, huge crowd waiting for food, as a dissbledcustomer nowhere to sit either,

I ordered at 930. It’s 12. Nothing arrived. Nothing was delivered. I want a full refund.

I really should know better than to order from here. But you think surely they can't mess up every time you order.... Despite clear instructions not to forget certain items they managed to do it again. If you like to order a meal and not get what you asked for then this is the place for you !!

15mins and waiting for a mcflurry

If you order a McDonald's breakfast be prepared to eat it for dinner. Extremely slow service.

Food was ok, we ordered a burger without Bacon and Came with Double Bacon, secondly they were out of ketchup with is annoying, Thirdly he chips wernt fully cooked 2 stars

Really don't know why we put ourselves through it. Most of the time something is missing. This visit managed to miss 3 burgers luckily we live fairly local and had to return to get them then put half of it in the air fryer. I think the better option is the uncle sams down the road.

I have ordered a Delivery from this branch and once again (3rd) time out of 5 deliveries there was food missing!! This has also happened nearly every time I've gone into the restaurant but at least then you can check it before you leave! I try not to go there but after a long day at work I just wanted a night off cooking dinner. How difficult is it to check a food order with 4 meals! It's so frustrating and one of us is without a meal! Please do something about this, it's ridiculous!! A very unhappy customer!

This is the worst McDonalds I have ever been to. I’ve no idea how this place seems to get it so wrong as most other McDonalds seem very efficient.

Food arrived cold after waiting an hour. My children are having cold chips and fishfingers for dinner, and it cost me over £20 incl service charge and delivery. the total of my refund was £3.68, absolutely disgusting.

Concerned that you may cook the McPlant with the meat burgers. Please make sure anyone who asks for vegan options gets them whoever they are.

Anytime I've been here coffees are either unavailable or the only option is a cappuccino. Lattes/espressos always unavailable This is almost everyday over a period of months. Nothing seems to change.

Wait time for a meal was 15mins , service is super slow for a fast food restaurant. Food was cold and drink was flat.. not good.

I very rarely ever give a bad review However To save people driving there for no reason They consistently have no milkshakes for weeks now Today 24th May No chicken nuggets No strawberry and chocolate milkshakes No vegan buns or cheese A wasted trip If you are going to bother then download the app and check first Or London rd always have everything btw I’d be sacking the stock controller It is consistently poor stock levels and not a one off I will happily change this review if you can sort it out Asda Maccys

The food was very cold and inedible

For the third time I ordered a large fries and all I got is some pieces of fries like if I’m bagging you for fries!

I didn't get my food. I selected the location from my history which I have ordered before. But then it didn't show anything to point. Then the driver went to different location and she didn't bring for me

It's way too slow to serve in this branch - I'm talking 20mins plus to get breakfast. It gets so busy with people standing around waiting that it's also not the best atmosphere.

I've order and waited 40 minutes then my order been canceled and then I ordered again and had to wait a long time and all of the sudden I received my order missing a chicken burger and instead of a large fries I got half fries!,

It's amazing how every time I order a fillet, they are never able to get the fish in the bun. Be prepared to wait!

Orders appear on the collect screen 10 minutes before they’re ready, suggesting the staff are simply gaming the computer system instead of getting food out on time. 14 minutes for a breakfast roll meal this morning! At least the food was alright.

Ordered a deluxe quarter pounder meal with Fanta and chicken nuggets meal with coke and some cheese bites through the app. No Fanta, no burger, no straws, no dip. How is it so hard to read the order and put the items in the bag... And before you blame the driver, the bag was sealed...

Came here 20+ times while doing the weekly shop quite frankly could be the slowest service I’ve ever seen in a McDonald’s makes the one down the marina feel like the ritz would avoid like the plague which you probably get from the stone cold food

Had to wait ages, they kept serving the deliveroo people, but people trying to eat in had to wait ages....

Not organized at all and the hot chocolate was awful no taste .

Was really slow and they got our order wrong, took forever to get it sorted too. Didn't realise fast food was so slow.

Chips were hot and crispy and milkshake was good. Service overall was very fast and friendly. Only complaint is that they need to empty the oil they use on the fries as they were a little dirty, otherwise it was pretty good.

I had no dip which I was looking forward to, and there was no straw or napkins and the food was a little cool for being an outlet 5 mins by bike but otherwise alright!

Ordered on their app while in the car park and pressed the "I'm already here" button so that they took payment and started preparing the food straight away. Went straight in, nobody was waiting for food. My order number was showing on the 'please collect' section of the screen. Several more orders appeared after mine, (about 8 in total) and the associated people came to wait for their food. We waited there at least 10 minutes and nobody's food was given out. Eventually my order number was called (and it was the first number I'd heard called out). I thought maybe they had ran out and were cooking more fries or something because a lot of people order fries and that would explain the delay to everyone's orders, but that can't have been the case because all of my food was cold. I will not be using this branch again.

Don’t waste your time. I order from here frequently from work (Screwfix, just across the road), and I have had about one correct order in the year or so I’ve been ordering. I have continually had to chase them up about getting my order completely wrong, missing parts, and the like. Not only is everything almost always wrong, but I routinely have to wait over 40 minutes for it to be delivered across the road. Absolute waste of time, every single time.

It took a long time for our food to arrive, printer was broken, so no receipt and table service, food arrived just as we went looking for it. Big Macl was cold, why are the Big Macs always cold? Special Order too!

From the perspective of friendly helpful staff this is the best I have been to!

He did all the right things for me

Nothing wrong with the delivery, but when my food had come it was missing items got pancakes, no syrup, no sausage patty so they were pointless. No hash brown, so just a double sausage and egg, McMuffin and a latte not happy

Possibly the worst McDonald’s in the world. Each time I’ve ordered from there, the food is shockingly cooked, something is missed off the order each time and is so messy, it looks as if they put it together with their feet. On the plus side, I may have finally found a McDonald’s that will put me off fast food for the rest of my life

Popped in yesterday as usual after doing my weekly shop at Asda. FRAZER was there again and I wanted to compliment on his customer service. He's happy, friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Arrived on a Saturday afternoon. All the self serve machines were in use but the Manager was ensuring everyone had the option to order at the till or via the app. He was tidying and bussing tables, directing staff, solving problems. He was very much leading from the front. Staff were clean and tidy and busy keeping the restaurant clean and tidy and sufficiently stocked. Very well done!
