The best restaurants in Wish Brighton and Hove South East

I have had delivery from this restaurant twice so far and it’s becoming my favourite! The food is delicious for the price you pay, portion sizes are great also.

We celebrate my husband's birthday here. We had a portion of Red Bull Fried Chicken, a portion of Sweet Corncakes, and two Prawn Padthai. All the food was so delicious and the staff was so kind! We paid £40 in total. We will definitely come back!

I went in yesterday with my husband and grandson. The sstaff were lovely and welcoming despite the fact that my grandson who is 1 1/2 was unhappy and letting everyone know! We both had coffee and pastries. The pastries were delicious as was the coffee and the atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming. I don’t live in Hove however my daughter is local and I will drop in to this lovely cafe whenever I get the opportunity.

Since the new owner took over I’ve become a regular - the sandwiches are so nice and with *so* much filling, they’re such good value compared to most places. The owner is really friendly and accommodating and I can usually park outside.

Staff are rude and arrogant. And aggressive. Absolutely disgusted with the treatment received here. I would not recommend to anyone. I feel staff required training for customer service and communication skills. Vile staff.

We booked for a group of 6 for Father's Day at 4pm.When we walked past earlier in the day we thought we'd pop in to see if we can make the booking 30 mins later. No-one was in the restaurant at 3pm, considering that it should have opened at 1pm. Tried to call several times, no answer. Came back at 3:30, still no-one there and no answer on the phone. We had no call from anyone telling us that there is a problem that day at the restaurant. So we booked somewhere at short notice. Luckily Father's Day wasn't ruined. But we would not have known unless we happened to be walking past.Disgrace.

The food at pickles is amazing, i’ve never been disappointed by my usual order. However the customer service is absolutely shocking, I was disappointed to hear that they were huffing and puffing at the order made. Unfortunately I will not be buying my lunch from Pickles again, despite the fantastic food, the customer service is just awful. Going into the sandwich cafe makes me feel extremely uncomfortably due to the stern rude attitude. The atmosphere is enough to put you off the food as it is.

I used to enjoy eating here because the food is always hot.However, on every occasion I seemed to be overcharged.On my last visit I asked for a receipt and, my thoughts were confirmed that I was,and always have been,charged twice £1.50 for a table spoon of instant coffee. This is a deliberate act of theft.I challenged the them and was refunded £1.50 without an apology.Shame , because I will vote with my feet and never support this local business.Shame on you for exploiting your customers knowingly... either that, then retrain the woman who always takes the orders...and always ask for a receipt.

Poplar little roadside cafe on the A259 road Hove. Poplar with Trades people. Opens from 6am and closes at 1pm. Appears to good value meals ranging from Full breakfast to salads and scampi and chips and Rolls to order if required . Always hot and tasty Lovely staff always very pleasant

Hosted a baby shower here and it was a wonderful afternoon. Staff are so friendly and helpful,and had a lovely room out the back to ourselves. So much food,which he couldn’t finish,but everything was very tasty. The sausage rolls really went down well. Had a really lovely time, thanks so much. Will definitely be back!

This shop always has something to temp me! If your unsure, just ask! The staff there are a wealth of knowledge on local cheese and accompanying chutneys and treats, so friendly and their Christmas hampers are top notch! Will be back again and again!!

Hosted a private party here on Saturday and the venue is fab ✨️ would 100% recommend, communication has been great and couldn't do more to make sure everything runs smoothly all guests loved it thankyou so much 😊

Excellent selection of drinks, views over the sea. Nice scampi and pint of Harvey's. Short afternoon visit, nice pint of Guinness. Membership required. Another nice pint of Guinness in the sun on the patio looking south out to sea. Nice pint of Harvey's and bowl of scampi. Nice ambience, looking at the sea. Good pint of real ale. Scampi and chunky chips with a perfect pint of Guinness. Very nice. Friendly staff. Watched the rugby on the big screen. Nice atmosphere, good pint of Guinness and zero per cent Guinness. Good atmosphere as usual, and England beat France in a close game of rugby.

Wow!! Just wow!! The food us amazing spice level was perfect and the Naan… epic!! Hugely and highly recommend! 10/10!!!
