Station Cafe in Brighton and Hove

I used to enjoy eating here because the food is always hot.However, on every occasion I seemed to be overcharged.On my last visit I asked for a receipt and, my thoughts were confirmed that I was,and always have been,charged twice £1.50 for a table spoon of instant coffee. This is a deliberate act of theft.I challenged the them and was refunded £1.50 without an apology.Shame , because I will vote with my feet and never support this local business.Shame on you for exploiting your customers knowingly... either that, then retrain the woman who always takes the orders...and always ask for a receipt.

Be a regular customer and excellent food and value especially the cheese omelettes which I have regularly.

I’ve been going to this cafe for quite a while now and I give it 10/10 for cleanliness and friendliness they cook up a great breakfast all freshly cooked to order and you tend to meet the same people every week which goes to show how good it is to have returning customers,, plenty of banter from the owner but wouldn’t have it any other way makes my morning

Stopped in here the other week, best sausage bap I've had in ages. Place is nicely organized for Covid, plenty of seating outside when the weather's good.

Lovely and filling breakfast for the family. Everyone loved it. Cheap and we'll made and quickly delivered!

My mug of coffee was covered in dirt, all around the rim on the mug, I cleared with napkin and the napkin turned black. The plate was also unclean. Now I no I'm going for a greasy fry up! But the cutlery, plate and mug should be clean. Put my off my food, obviously left the coffee I had paid for. Wouldn't go again.

This place has been on the map for years,but dont think your find a place to park,popular with builders and scaffolders a good breakfast can be found here.

Had a family breakfast gathering....one of the best cooked breakfasts I've had! Lovely staff, lovely breakfast and lovely place 😊👍

I go in regularly and it always good food and reasonable prices and the staff are always friendly and it is always clean

This is essentially pub grub but it was good and the service was great The ambiance is friendly and it was lovely to eat outside and watch all the London commuters descend from Hove station Great place for people watching Id eat There again

Really clean cafe with all the traditional breakfasts friendly service lovely cup of tea and the black pudding is great !!

Stopped in today after my train was delayed, had number one with hash brown. Cheap, quick and tasty, what more can you want from a proper local cafe.

We always get great food at The Station Café, a large and varied menu and daily specials. John and Sharon run a good, clean, friendly business with plenty of banter. The staff are always great. You can see from the cross section of customers, builders, pensioners, families, business people that the café caters across the board, reasonably priced and top quality food. LUVVIT!!

The fry-ups are good. Hot food. All cooked well. Been here a few times, with my partner. I've not tried the lunch & dinner meals, but they looked good.

Have visited on many occasions, it is dead opposite Portslade railway station, great for breakfast and lunch always freshly cooked, staff friendly, the best full english breakfast in the area in my humble opinion. Only downside is parking in the immediate area is a bit of a pain.

If you are in need for that once every so often mega breakfast then you can't go wrong here. Mugs of steaming tea or coffee and plates of food the size of dustbin lids. Freshly cooked with lovely staff with heaps of toast and all that you'd hope for. And if it's not breakfast..... everything from a roast dinner to burgers and chips. Something for everyone! Seats outside, loo and good for wheel chairs. Right opposite the railway station but closes at 3 pm. ....... give it a go.

I love this place and it's ideally situated opposite Portslade railway station. Have the set brekky with the bubble and squeek as this is the best B&S; that I have ever tasted, and I've tasted a lot!! All cooked fresh and also has an outside area of seating. Highly recommended.
