Islas Restaurant & Bar in Brighton and Hove

It was OK. The food was pretty good, however the service was extremely slow. There was only one waitress across the entire restaurant and she did amazing and told you as you came in that she’s by herself. However, it took about 30-40 minutes for our food to be made. The pancakes are nice and fluffy. If you get the mixed berries make sure to remember they are frozen berries which are just let out to defrost. The others who were with me got The Hash and Isla’s breakfast from what I can remember, and both said there was too many potatoes as well as they tasted like they’d come from a freezer. The staff are quite friendly and two other staff members came to help out. Overall, the restaurant has a beautiful layout and food is nice, I just wish there was better service as it turned people away from this beautiful restaurant.

Food was OK, not memorable and service was slow. Although it was explained to us that the waitress was on her own and there would be a delay of around 25 minutes in getting our meal, the wait turned out to be more like 45 mins. There were 3 of us and there was also probably a 10 minute gap between the first meal and the third which is not ideal. The waitress was very pleasant but I’m not sure we will be back.

Beautiful location, friendly and welcoming staff, and excellent food - highly recommend (especially the chicken wings!) and will definitely be back again!

I visited Islas on a busy Sunday. The staff were brilliant. We was greeted with a warm welcome & nothing seemed to much to ask. The customer service here is 10 out of 10. We had a bottomless Prosecco brunch. Food was delicious & great value for money. We will be back next month for sure.

Perfect place for breakfast, brilliant location, even had live pianist! Loved it, will be back for sure. Must try the pancakes 🥞 next my wife had them and would not share

This became our “go to”place for all our meals and evening entertainment on our recent visit to Brighton. We cannot recommend them more highly, nothing was too much trouble Terrific atmosphere , all the the staff were wonderful and we fell in love with Ryan! Will always remember Islas and the good times there and hope to visit again in the future.

Service is imperious, condescending and officious (when they got my order wrong I was told 'don't tell me the menu I know the menu'. I ordered a steak breakfast, medium rare, with a side of smashed avocado. Spouse ordered a burger. Burger arrived sans the side salad. My side of smashed avo (£2.50) morphed into a smashed avo breakfast (£9.00). My steak arrived well done. At no point were we asked if everything was OK. Not planning to come back.
