I ordered delivery, which included one meal with rice and another with 12 chicken tikka bites and salad, costing £31 in total. The food was terrible—completely bland with no seasoning at all. The portion sizes were also disappointing for the price. If the food had been hot and flavourful, I wouldn't have minded as much, but it was neither. Based on previous reviews, it seems like I might have just had a bad experience, but this was by far the worst curry I've had in years.

I've been a loyal customer of this curry house for the past 10 years, and I can confidently say it's the best place in Hove. The food is consistently amazing, bursting with flavors that keep me coming back. The people there are incredibly lovely and always make me feel welcome. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else for my curry fix. Love the guys up there – they truly make every visit special. Highly recommend!

First time using Kismet.. Definitely won't be the last, good portion size, very tasty, very quick delivery (Tuesday) and food was nice and hot.

This place has gone seriously downhill over a period of years. The food is truly bland, tasteless, swimming in oil and cheap ingredients. The owner has been seen many times in Lidl buying cheap ingredients. The staff are rude and aggressive, thrusting their religion down your throat at any opportunity. Food is hugely overpriced and most of it goes in the bin. Avoid!

Burger was not like usual and tasted spicy and I dont like spicy.

First time to have a curry from this restaurant- it was delicious! Very fresh, hot and not too heavy with the ghee. We had two mains and a sag aloo bhaji plus rice and a naan. Chicken was well cooked but still tender. Highly recommend!

arrived 15 minutes after ordered i was shocked, the dopiaza still had a little liquid where it could have been cooked off more. apart from that was tasty meal

Picked up a takeaway of vege side dishes and naan - fresh food, flavoursome. Staff were friendly. Good value for money

Ordered a take away. The wait was 50 mins but we decided to go for it. 1 hour 30 mins later it still had not arrived. On phoning Initially they appeared to know nothing but then a m knowledges they had the order but could put no time on its arrival. We’re still waiting!!!

The garlic chilli chicken and mushroom rice was lovely. The cook on the Mixed grill was inconsistent, overcooked lamb and no prawns for £13. The daal didn’t taste of anything and look like dish water.

This is the best curry I've had in years. My family were all very happy with their meals. They forgot to send the cool drink I ordered but called me & appolagied profusely. No train smash, I had beers in the fridge. Will definitely be getting food from them again.

Consistently the best and friendliest place in Hove!! Since I moved to the area this is my families go to place. Mijan and the team are superb- and the food is fresh, full of flavour, and always happy to adjust spice on request. Could not recommend enough!!!!!!!!

Had food from Kismet at least 6 times. Tonight the wrong order was delivered about on time. Just Eats guy was unhelpful to the point of rudeness. Called the restaurant - bad attitude. Overall bad service and poor food (Luke warm) . Happy to make allowances when things go wrong, but rude, bad attitude service means I won’t order from them again.

Excellent!! Had food to take out + it's the best Indian food weve ever had. Nice + hot, packaged well + the food was fantastic - would highly recommend. Staff very friendly + obliging + our food was ready to be collected in 25 mins. Lots of meat, sauce creamy (Korma) + spicy (Tikka Masala) + Peshwari Naam excellent. Will definitely use them again.

I want to like it. Really I did but it was just a sea of beige food, the potatoes were sweet, the madras overly spicy like a korma that had too much chilli powder added, daal was like baby food. I don’t mean to criticise the takeaway but this level of curry is depressing. What is more depressing is that people are pleased with this level of curry. Such a shame.

Had a lamb bhuna and Pilau rice last Friday, tried this place out as I had moved in just down the road, was extremely tasty and as someone who lived next to brick lane in London for 25 years, this place smashes them out of the water. Everyone was very friendly too!

Pre-Ordered my food on the way home from work to arrive whilst I watched the football, fortunately I made good progress on the way home as teh food arrived over 1hour early.

Very rude customer service, poor quality food, they delivered what they wanted not what we ordered and the food was not fresh. They seem to not know the difference between grilled and fried. After I received the delivery I called and asked for an explanation but instead of engaging with me they started repeatedly yelling. FYI I wasn't asking for any money back or another delivery.

I have used kismet for my Indian takeaway for the past few month having lived in hove all of my life ! I am kicking myself that I didn’t find this jewel earlier. EVERY curry is cooked from scratch and with such love and experience behind it. It is a family affair also. Milan from man at the front and the boss is so friendly you feel like one of the family ! Cannot recommend this place enough and I’ll eat my hat if you get a dish you don’t like !!

Took over an hour to be delivered, though told that when ordered. Usually 30/40 mins. Food was hot and delicious.

Just not the same anymore hardly any sauce
