Just had the most amazing meal at Bruha. We ordered all 6 starters between two of us instead of mains and the flavours were incredible; complex spices without too much heat. Tanya looked after us and her service style was genuine and attentive. Highly recommend, and we’ll be back!

One of my go to spots in Brighton! I'm half Filipino and the food here always hits the spot. Pork sisig is my favorite item on the menu. The spicy adobo ribs are amazing! Chicken wings are great, as is the pork adobo. The Ube milkshake and the pandan milkshake are also amazing. Honestly, everything is so good here! My parents came here after 3 weeks in the Philippines and also loved the food. The service is also fantastic, everyone is so nice and the dedication to authentic and quality Filipino is apparent in every detail. Highly highly recommend for Filipinos, lovers of Filipino food and people who have never had Filipino food before!

Just had our dinner last night here in Bruha. And I could say, how you brought us, HOME AWAY FROM HOME by the food we had. Sooo good! We had the Sisig and Lechon Kawali plus the signature ube leche flan. Easy Five 🌟!!! And the service from the reception greeted with smile and friendly staff. Will definitely come back.

I visited Bruha twice now with friends and was equally amazed by the wonderful food, cocktails and deserts they serve. The owners are super kind and you immediately feel at home when you walk in. I hadn’t booked both times, and they were just so kind and nice to make space for us. It’s the kind of laid back and unpretentious place where you can just relax and get ready to be amazed. The honey chicken wings are just insane - finger licking good! And basically every dish we ordered was above and beyond good. Will definitely be coming back! 🥰

The best Filipino restaurant in the UK!! Tucked into the heart of Brighton, BRUHA - “witch” in Tagalog - is a beautiful amalgamation of a dark alchemist’s lair and the warm embrace of the aroma of home. Having ordered enough food to satisfy a party of 12, despite being 4 people, we were delighted to find that the servings here are generous, the food was both well presented and perfect in taste. Very good value for your money. The menu was brilliant too, with a healthy selection of staple Filipino dishes and there even was a great take on making some Filipino dishes veggie. Our favourite stand out dishes were: the beef & veggie lumpia (starters), lechon kawali (mains), chicken adobo (mains), kare kare (mains), and the buko pandan (milkshake). Truly a great take on Filipino dining! Without forgetting to mention, the staff we encountered were warm and friendly, who were proud of the food they serve and the city their restaurant is home to. My family and I cannot express how wonderful our experience was at BRUHA, and how much the passion the staff had for their food, their service and restaurant had an impact. If we only lived in Brighton, we would be at BRUHA again and again. If you ever get a chance, be sure to stop by here and dine. It is a smaller and cosier space, with 2 floors for dining, but I’m sure a larger party could fit. Just be sure to ask. Maraming salamat, BRUHA! We will be sure to stop by again the next time we’re in town.

Went for lunch, nice service and cozy space Was craving Filipino food and it didn’t disappoint me and my friend! The sigsig is a must with the egg. Very flavorful and strong tasting, also quite an oily food so it might not be it for some people. Halo halo at the end for dessert ! Everything was nice by far! The lechon kawali was a bit of a miss though, the meat was a bit tougher than I would like. Will be back to try new foods!

I had the pleasure of trying the Kawali Lechón, and if you’re a fan of pork, this dish is a must-try. Perfectly crispy on the outside, tender, and bursting with flavor on the inside—it’s a deceptively simple dish that showcases expert preparation. As someone familiar with pork cooking, I can appreciate the skill it takes to achieve this balance, and the result is nothing short of delicious. This family-run restaurant offers more tempting dishes, but the Kawali Lechón stole the show for me. The warm and welcoming staff made the experience even better. Give it a try, and let me know how your experience compares!

My partner and I had food in Bruha yesterday. I like the vibe and the resto is found in a great location. The dinuguan was good and the lechon kawali was proper. What ruined our dining experience was… the Sisig! Shame coz it is my partner’s favourite. It was burnt and you can taste the charred onions and liver (tasted bitter). It was swimming in oil too… like loads of oil. Food took 40 mins to be served and there were only 3 tables occupied.

The cocktails, named after local folk beasts, were deliciously exotic. We had the tiktik with jackfruit and bayabas with guava, both full of aroma and perfect to whet the appetite. A small and local business run by 2 very dedicated and hard working people, The food is amazing, I recommend the pork Lechon and the Chicken wings… damn, the depth of flavour, texture and mouth water food, have eaten here multiple times now and blown away by the taste.

I agree with the previous comment about the poor service and the sisig being just 'okay'. Mine was swimming in oil. I was here a few years ago and remembered having a great experience then. If the kitchen can't cope with the volume, maybe tell your customers that the wait for one meal would be around 45minutes. Reviews seemed to be great so was disappointed to not have the same experience.

Went there for lunch around 1:30pm and we’ve waited for an hour and a half for our food to be served. I was looking forward to eat Filipino food since this place such had a high rating only to be shown how bad the service is and bland the food was. To top it off, a +12 service charge? Gosh. The sisig was meh, the bicol express was spicy but it became like a soup. Why add slurry in the sauce? Odd! Other people were leaving table by table since their service is so bad. Lol, won’t recommend.

I have not eaten here but wanted to comment on how disrespectful the staff here are. They supposedly were having staff drinks outside their venue on Monday night which is fine but they were blaring music on a speaker and shouting and screaming and had a dog barking outside. This was fine for the first few hours but when I continued until after 2am you can understand it was very frustrating for anyone living in the square to sleep. I had to be up at 6am for work and my neighbour even went over and politely asked them to keep the music down around 12:30 but they were not very apologetic and didn’t make any effort to quieten down. There is no email or phone number to contact the venue directly hence why we have had to leave feedback here. I understand you were having a nice time but it could have been done inside the venue and not outside for everyone to hear until 2am. Very frustrating and disrespectful when people clearly live in the buildings above. Would not have even been as bad if they had apologised when we asked them to keep it down but instead just laughed and continued for another hour or two.

There are less than 10 tables in the entire restaurant and the floor we were on was completely empty apart from us, however it took 20 minutes to get our drinks order and nearly an hour for food. I get that good food takes times and there are only two members of staff including the chef, but be prepared for a 'relaxed' experience.

The pork belly was some of the best I've ever tasted - the Pork Abodo practically melted in your mouth - and the honey garlic calamansi wings were both dripping in honey & crispy. Portion sizes are large, flavours are phenomenal and prices are very reasonable. We booked a table for 21:00 (1hr before the restaurant closes) and we were happily accommodated for all 3 courses right up until almost 1 and a half hours past close - your milage may vary on this but we felt very well looked after! As mentioned the service was great, just the right amount of time between each course and it was easy to chat with the staff. Bruha had a dark interior as we went in and up the stairs. The waiter was very attentive and helpful when we were choosing our food. We chose Mango smoothie, buko pandan and ube smoothie which were thick and delicious but I suggest not to have these drinks until after you’ve had the meal as you get full up. For starters, the spring rolls, spare ribs and tokwat baboy were delish. The main we chose were varied - kare kare was full of flavour, barbecue pork was very good; Sisig with egg is yum; dinuguan had chunky meat which is so tender and tasty but the Pancit bihon with pork was watery and on the salty side. For our dessert, we had the turon which was exquisite with banana and ube jam oozing while you bite into it- that’s perfection ! Ube yema cake was divine! The portions are so generous so the four of us shared all the food! It was very nice to experience Filipino food without tinkering much from the original flavour. It was quite pricey but it’s all worth it. Highly recommended! Bruha needs to have a contact number and email for customers to contact them because we only made a booking via messenger and or Instagram. Reply to our booking was quite slow. Amazing restaurant!! Options for vegetarians, great ambiance and the people are so nice! The mangga salad was very soft and it's such a smart combination I loved it! The spotify playlist was also really cool (but I can't find it! if you could share it maybe...:)).

Love all the details! The concept, decor, the food and drinks. Being a LondonerC it’s close to home as you can get and didn’t realise I’d find it in Brighton. Highly recommend 💕

Bruha offers an overall pleasant dining experience with commendable staff. However, it's important to note that the food might not align with traditional Filipino taste preferences, as it offers a different culinary approach. If you're open to exploring diverse flavors and appreciate attentive service, Bruha is a suitable choice.

Great Filipino food, took me back to my childhood 🥲 unfortunately the sinigang had just finished, but staff very kindly brought us the last remaining half serving or so on the house! Highly recommend

Need to improve the taste of food. Had pancit and there is too much pepper and also sour. The sisig mushroom and tofu , i think need to tone down the sourness as it overwhelmed the food. Probably better to seperate lemon and let the customer squeeze it to their food . Husband had lechon kawali and it is bland. Milkshake ube pandan is great.

A very good Filipino food experience, unexpected for Brighton! I recommend pairing with the mango salad! Everything was very good, a little toward the British tastebud but still good.

Great little restaurant for drinks & food. The meals are so flavoursome, freshly cooked & the chef is happy to amend to accommodate intolerances. Looking forward to going back to try out the other dishes.

Visited here because my daughters partner, who is originally from the Philippines, was very excited to find a Filipino restaurant. Short menu but with the best known dishes on offer like Adobo. As I understand it generally it’s a meat focused cuisine but actually I thought the best dish was the mushroom and tofu sisig. Desserts were limited but very nice too. Could not fault the service either. Will definitely be taking friends here.

As a filipino I'm sad to say i did not enjoy the food. The food was over cooked and dry. I think it was more a remix than filipino. The mango daiquiri was nice. Price was rather expensive but i guess because of the location. I might give it a go again but maybe when theres a different menu.

We tried the sisig and sinigang and i love it! This is probably the most authentic sisig and sinigang i tasted in the UK (i tried plenty in London). They made mine without mayo as i requested and glad they accommodated it. I would personally prefer the sisig meat to be minced more but that's just picking on it really. Their sisig is spot on especially with the egg! The sinigang tastes like home, the broth is sour just how i like it. I think one order's portion is good enough for two people (both sinigang and sisig). My friends who were new to Filipino cuisine loved everything we ate. The servers were absolutely nice and friendly. We were seated at the 2F of the building so it did take some time for some little requests. I will be back to try their other dishes and cocktails for sure! Hopefully they have a reservation system in place then. We just walked in and lucky to get the last available table.

Upon walking in, the waitress was incredibly kind and served us so nicely. When the food was ready, there wasn’t any napkins or knifes and forks as we were getting a takeout. We then asked the other waitress if we could please get napkins and knifes and forks. By this point she was talking with her friends and had been from The time we walked in. She then gave us a cold look and seemed really annoyed that we asked her something while she was talking with her friends. She then replied and said ‘ we just got chopsticks ‘ . The food portions are incredibly small and the taste was quite bland. For a restaurant it seemed a little weird that they only had chopsticks as we don’t know How to eat with chopsticks and I’m sure not everyone does either so we struggled to eat our food. Will not be going back.
