Absolutely superb. Cannot wait to order again. Too many other places are overly oily- not here. Arrived piping hot.

One of my biggest complaints with curry houses in recent times is the lack of meat and too much sauce , This is not the case here plenty of meat ! also extremely tasty and piping hot when it arrived , The ceylon even had a decent amount of heat so looking forward to trying their hotter dishes , which is another thing not mentioning any names I got phall from another restaurant last week and it was the same heat as this ceylon which it should not have been beign a phall I have found my new Indian takeaway !

I've finally found my new Indian restaurant, after trying out many. To be fair, most of the ones I've tried so far have been good, but I wanted 'the one' that's perfect for me. I found it with Kamala.The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful, it arrived earlier than quoted, and was still nice and hot, and the delivery driver was friendly and polite. I couldn't ask for anything more.

fabulous food! 👌. The only grudge is the lamb could be less chewy. Lamb should melt into your mouth and not have to chew for hours! Otherwise super.

Never ordered delivery from this place but live round the corner and this place is a different curry to curry inn. I’d say this is more decadent curry and a bit cheaper but always have good food from here. Definitely pick here if you’re hanging or starving vs curry inn.

Very average food. Not awful but average, e.g. chunks of meat were tiny as though using the cheap cuts, paratha was stodgy, curry wasn't very flavourful etc.

Kamal is our favourite curry place. We don't order from anywhere else now because it is always disappointing! If we fancy curry on a Tuesday when they are shut we either bite the bullet and cook or get a completely different cuisine! Totally recommend them!

We ordered the set meal for 2. Everything came hot and each dish was really tasty. It was delivered super quick as well. Highly recommend

Long standing establishment. Always quick, nothing fancy but always good quality. Reasonably priced.

Usually very good but poor this evening. Got order wrong and must have ran out of lamb as instead of pieces of meat the lamb had been chopped post cook into small bits to make it go further :(

Just horrid. Inedible, didn’t have the means for me to pay by card. There was so much oil on the daal that it was totally inedible. Save your money- go elsewhere, don’t waste your money.

Really helpful staff and good menu range. I was able to order my faves (vindaloo and masala) as veggie options, which was a nice change to having bombay aloo and more bombay aloo. Would recommend.

Since moving to Brighton from Hampshire last year, I've really missed a decent selection of curries at Indian restaurants - being a vegetarian I love menus where they just list the curries and you can choose your meat or a veggie option - it's what I was used to and spoilt with in the great curry houses of Hampshire! (Not sarcasm, there are some REALLY good ones). Kamal's is not the sort of place you'd want to 'eat-in', even if that were an option. It's dated and the staff aren't particularly friendly. But the food is excellent! They always cater to my rather specific orders (I don't like potato) and have a brilliant selection of dishes. Last night they even threw in a free Tadka Dal which was great, and their Sag Aloo (at least the spinach bits... I give away the potato) is honestly the best I've tasted. The look of the building does make me question the hygiene of the food... only reason it isn't getting a higher score (and that's probably just me being pedantic).

Just had a curry from this place. Chicken tikka masalla and chicken tikka dhansak. Loved it. Reasonable prices and great food with free side if you spend over a certain amount. I would definitely recommend this place. This is my regular curry house as I haven't found anywhere as good.

Turned up on the earlier side (only 30 minutes). Improved menu since I last used this establishment. Bhuna should be a dry dish and was. Ceylon delicious. The saag dhal wouldn't have been so thick if it was genuinely authentic but this is a minor niggle. Recommended.

Hands down one of the best Indian takeaways I’ve been too. Great food, nice people and good service. If you’re in the seven dials area or further I couldn’t recommend it enough 👍

Want to start off by saying how wonderful the waiting staff is, specifically our server, Moni! She was great, really hands on and made us laugh. Food was fantastic, really good restaurant for money value.

Coming here for the first time I was slightly hesitant, but not disappointed. The service was great and our server Moni was friendly and helpful. Will come again.

This is in a part of Brighton just off The Lanes that seemed to be becoming a bit run down but this restaurant has improved things quite a bit. They now have three large glass pods outside in a glass screened area and we were disappointed to find that these had to be booked so we went inside. Inside is very spacious but I think it would be very noisy if all or most of the tables were in use. However this was Monday lunchtime and not very busy. Actually very glad we didn't get a pod as there were heavy showers and you don't really want wet food. Actually the pods have three or four tables each so you don't get exclusive use unless you have a large party. As for the food; well, not bad but pretty average and the one item I wanted from a fairly restricted menu was not available so had to make do with chicken. Rather expensive food and drinks especially when the "optional" service charge of 12 1/2 % was added. Overall we paid nearly £50 for a pretty average lunch for two. Service was also a bit hit and miss. We probably won't go again as there are better and cheaper places in Brighton.

Great staff, mediocre loud atmosphere... but the real let down is the food, its not horrible, it just average and tiny. the borrowers would order a second main course... the staff make this place with their incredibly lovely approach.. but if u are hungry walk by!

The taste was good and the food was hot but for me 3 king prawns in a king prawn curry is not enough.

So disappointing. Prawn Puri starter. Salty Prawns like hard bullets, bread rock hard edges, soggy middle. Lamb was saline salty, smelled of stale fat, greasy, and inedible sadly. Avoid,avoid,avoid.

Our go to! Ordered from their website about 6 times now, every time the food arrives hot and tasty, and so quickly! Good value for money, lots of vegetarian options. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. 👌

Bad paneer, undercooked both times and the curry was weak

The food was good, with plenty of good vegetables and garnishes. It was a little too oily but tasted good.

Lazy driver couldn't be bothered to deliver to my front door, had to pick it up from building entrance. Won't be ordering again.

If you like having missing items on your delivery order from here. I’ve ordered three times from here and twice they have forgotten one of the products I ordered. Today it happened to me and now I’m not even full and wasted my money. With no direct refund or even choice to bring me the missing item. I was lied to saying driver has gone home. How convenient .

The chicken madras Tasted basic like it just curry paste from bookers , also the meat was dry inside and tuff And I only got 1 popadom for 70p which is terrible if I’m Honest I’ve never experienced such a bad Indian before and I’m West Indian my self , I would rather like some of my money back or a free meal Or voucher someone please contact me

The delivery guy was very very very rude !!! He yelled at me through phone because he wanted me to get my order outside in the street because he said that the road is too busy and he cannot stop his car. But I paid for the delivery so why do I have to take my order in the middle of the street and put me in danger ??? Very awful service and very poor quality of food, I’ll never order from them again !!! ZERO STAR !

No issues with the quality of the food, it was lovely... the issue was just the temperature. It was lukewarm when it finally arrived. I was wondering why a half mile journey took so long.

Food arrived quick but I was given the wrong order, called the restaurant and within 20 minutes the driver had returned with my proper order !! They were very apologetic and the food was great :)

Terrible. The order arrived on time but one of the dishes was wrong. I am vegetarian and they sent me a lamb dish - obviously I couldn’t eat it. I then had to wait 50 minutes for them to send me my actual dish. I also ordered saag paneer bhajis but they sent me saag paneer. Nobody I spoke to was particularly apologetic or seemed to care that they sent a vegetarian meat and made me wait so long - 2 hours in all. I will not be ordering from here again.

A little lateness is no issue as my place is tricky to find. Reliably good food, I used to live next door, and since moving use Just Eat. I consider it that good.

Hi there, we ordered diner last night, 13 May, delivery good, unfortunately, the food wasn't up to your usual standard. My husband had the Chicken Madras which is his normal. Maybe you have a new chef or tweaked the recipe, but he couldn't eat it which for him is astonishing, also my Tandori Chicken was v dry and hard to eat. We're not complainers usually, but thought you ought to know as we are such fans of yours and were, very disappointed. Feedback would be good.
