Excellent, delicious to be honest, nice staff and customer service

I've ordered from here for years now. The portion size-to-price ratio is honestly unbeatable... some of the dine-in Thai restaurants in Brighton charge literally double the price for curries of the same (or lesser) serving size. They have a large menu with all of the expected dishes plus some less common ones. In terms of quality, well this is definitely takeaway food, but it's pretty good for what it is. I like that they use a wider variety of vegetables in most dishes than I typically encounter at other Thai restaurants in this area. I've never had any issues with service, either for collection or delivery. You can order delivery directly from the restaurant so there's no need to pay extra fees to Deliveroo or JustEat. That's one of the main reasons I like this place, because I hate using those apps if I can avoid it. They always pay attention to any special requests I make and deliver the food on time, which is all I expect really. Thanks!

Amazing food! We had the green curry, yellow curry, pad thai, salt and pepper chicken, veg spring rolls, duck spring rolls and sweetcorn cakes -they were all so tasty. Staff here are really friendly too. Food is a good price as well.

Absolutely diabolical service, We placed an order which took about an hour to come. Opened the order for over half of it to be completely wrong. Called them up. Women said she put wrong items in bag and would send driver with correct food. 45 mins later called back again to see where he was, to be greeted by a male saying she only works there and shouldn’t of said that, as they won’t be replacing with correct food. And I would get free food next order. I explained we wouldn’t be ordering again and if that’s the case can we have a refund and they can collect order. He said no he would not give us our money back that’s not how it works! I said yes it is you’ve taken our money for food we didn’t order receive nor like or will eat. He said they was too busy to replace food and tough basically! I am absolutely fuming and disgusted, over £30 taken with no food or so much as an apology. They’ve basically stolen our money! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE THEY ARE A DISGRACE!

Not happy ,ordered online for a delivery waited for an hour & 15 minutes so phoned to see where it was, lady I spoke to was very rude telling me they busy , said they only just started to cook our food, so going to be at least another 30 minutes. No apology, Very bad customer service. Will not be using them again as this is not the first time it has happened. Finally arrived 2 hours later ☹️

"Don't Bother" This place used to be fantastic, one of the best in Brighton, all i can think of is that it has new ownership ? Gone right down hill, I for one will be going elsewhere in future.

Amazing food from such friendly people!! We choose to pick it up and it was ready in 20mins as said and was piping hot for us! We asked for extra peanuts and they didn’t hold back, was all so tasty and great value for money! We will be back!!

This is an undiscovered gem, the Thai food is absolutely delicious, you can really taste the fresh ingredients. It’s like being back in Thailand! Would recommend the chicken wings, very soft and falls off the bone. The duck pad thai is mouth watering. Have eaten here lots and it never disappoints. Pen the owner is very friendly and welcoming.

I was craving for some fried rice and tom yum after 2 weeks in Brighton. As I scrolled the UberEat apps, I found this halal Thai restaurant nearby so we decided to give it a try. A young petite Thai aunty will welcome you with a friendly gestures and would recommend you with assorted of menus. As Malaysian, I already knew what I want la. I ordered spicy chicken Tom Yum with egg fried rice together with a full house Chow Mein. Everything tasted good honestly. The Tom yum was full with chicken, mushrooms, galangal(lengkuas), lemongrass(serai), onion & kefir leaves 🍃. The Full House Chow Mein was packed with veggies, chicken, beef & prawns. We spoke a lot with the owner, a Muslim turkish man and he is so humble. In total we spent around £30. I love Thai food so much, and I love their serving’s because it’s authentic. You can talk to chef in the kitchen to make changes in something like spicy levels. As I said that, people work here and atmosphere is so comfortable like you are eating in your own house even. Absolutely must to check out if haven’t.

Beware of ordering from here. It is not good value for money and the staff are extremely rude and unhelpful. There must be 100 better places to eat in Brighton.

Most delicious thai food i’ve ever had!

Very Disappointed after using this Takeaway many times, Meat pancake rolls so salty I could not eat them, crispy duck should be crispy fat no duck meat, I spent over fifty pounds, Absolute disgrace I will never be using this Takeaway again!!

Food was soo good! We came from kent to visit brighton, worried about halal food alhamdulilah we came accross this esablishment. At first we wasnt sure if we were going to sit in as it was a small restuarant (1 x4 seater and 2 x2 seater tables) but we bite thr bullet and sat down along with our 1 1/2 year old son. We was not disapointed at all, we enjoyed the meal and our son loved it too! The owner is a really nice guy, he was serving us which is nice to see. Plus everythng is fresh! Nothing ready made as the menu stated. Thank you will be sure to visit again next time we come brighton!

Pretty mediocre food standard, massive overuse of MSG (Glutamat), fluffy rice was actually a microwaved block of precooked rice (still in plastic bag) being put in a tray to give the impression of an adequate portion of rice (which it wasn't), unappealing/cheap impression, all three of us agreed that MSG and food leaves a unpleasant taste, being busy on Saturday night is no excuse, overall not recommended,

I used to order here all the time and was a longtime customer when I was in 1st year of uni. I decided to order again tonight but the quality of the food has declined drastically since the last time. All the food was extremely oily, greasy and very bland. Both my partner and I ended up not being able to eat it as the amount of oil/grease was making us feel sick. We put a complaint in through uber (which we ordered through) and we are waiting to hear back from. Overall, very disappointing and will not be ordering again. Edit: We got a full refund through uber because of how bad it was. In response to the response below, we chose to complain through uber rather than directly after reading the reviews of other customers that complained being verbally abused. After having another look at the reviews and reading though the other abusive written responses we will definitely not be ordering from here again.

The food is actually quite nice, aside from some suspect meat, but they're getting two stars due to their customer service. The owners obviously didn't know I speak Thai (I'm white) so I could understand all the problematic comments they were making about my physical appearance. I also think they printed their own food hygiene certificate, as the number doesn't match the one on the FSA website.

The food is excellent, fresh and delicious. However, recently the service has not been good. We've had numerous problems; waited nearly two hours for delivery, had the wrong food delivered, gone to collect food, got home and its the wrong food. On one occasion I rang to discuss the problem and the phone was put down on me. We love to support local, but not when the service is so bad.

Only writing a review as we really enjoy the food. I can only speak as I find. My other half looked at the reviews after we ordered and I was a bit worried but everything was fresh and tasty. Like to support local business and will be a return customer.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING 🤢 🤮 My partner got food poisoning! This place is vile all round. Awful food disgusting service Obnoxious staff (they are SOOOO rude may I add) Curry was watery, no flavour and arrived freezing cold, rice was seriously over cooked and gloopy, Thai crackers were extremely stale, squid was rubbery, half cooked, tasteless and cold as well. I have had better duck spring rolls but they were also cold and chewy. Delivery driver took 45 minutes to deliver the food and then could not find my simple placed home, rung me up and was rude and abrupt towards me. The grim food is incredibly over priced and not worth the money at all. I would recommend the giggling squid all the way! Yum!! This place should not be in business. End of. I have rung them multiple times asking for my full and completely entitled refund and they hang up on me saying “very busy” with a vile attitude. The chefs are not that busy otherwise they would be making half decent food. They have said they have never ever had a complaint. HILARIOUS! 😂 So, final conclusion is; DO NOT go here if you have any taste because you will be seriously disappointed. I have a friend who already is not going to order from here again. The best Thai takeaway ever. I just had a Crispy Roasted Duck / Ped Ma-Kham and Pad Prik (Mixed Seafood). Absolutely delicious and very good sized portions.

Really delicious food at this Thai in Brighton. We went for some spring rolls, a chicken ginger dish, chicken penang, coconut rice. The food was very fresh and fragrant, incredibly tasty!

Ordered ubereats and was very surprised at firstly the portion size and most importantly the taste. The Mussaman curry was delicious and so was the Pad Siew with Duck. Would definitely order again!

Very poor , I was ok before but the quality of food it’s not the same , and the service it’s horrible, imposible communication by phone or email, gave last chance 3 weeks ago, after more than 2 hours my food wasn’t with me yet, driver called me said he was outside, he wasn’t, I called the restaurant saying I didn’t want the food any more because was more than 2h from the order was made it and I wanted my money back, they said will refund on my account after 2 weeks , that was on 1 November and I still waiting for my money back, so bad don’t trust that people ( order 850990) 8-apr-2021 After some time ( 2-3 months)decided to give other opportunitie to Orienthai, have to say that they gave me the money back after first review and food quality improved a lot, service also much better, delivered within 40-45 minutes last 2 times I ordered, well done

Ordered some duck, prawns pad thai and fried rice. Only the duck was worth eating, to Be honest. Thank god I used an Uber Eats discount and didn’t pay the full price.

Last night we ordered: Spicy chicken wings - loads of fresh chilli (not too hot), great sauce and amazing flavour Penang Curry (chicken) - Very nice, best Thai curry we have ever had! Pad Thai vegetarian - Very tasty Crispy Roasted Duck / Ped Ma-Kham - So much duck, lost for words, so good! Roasted Chilli Fried Rice Mixed Vegetables - Great, perfect for sharing. Sticky rice – Cant go wrong, but good :) We never normally write reviews but wanted to let people know that this restaurant is the best! We ended up choosing Orienthai because of the reading though the tripadvisor reviews and seeing the owners response to a person who sent in a low review, the owner was clearly not happy that someone felt the food they prepared was not good enough, perhaps went a bit too far with the reply but showed how much they care! The review was in no way comparable to the amazing food we received last night. We work on Lewes road so will recommending Orienthai to anyone looking for a good take away.

We had a very disappointing experience. They were still preparing our order an hour and a half after we'd ordered it through Uber Eats and when we called up to check on it they were very rude and hung up on us twice. We gave them feedback on our experience through Uber Eats and they replied defensively saying 'No time to talk long time on the phone' and 'If your order came late or so slow, then Uber Eats responsible not we are!' The Uber Eats driver was very friendly and apologised for us having to wait so long for the food to be prepared. The food was ok in the end but we sadly won't be ordering from them again.

I had their Str fried Sith chicken and Prawns and I absolutely love it! The ingredients taste fresh, the prawns and chicken aren’t over-cooked and the sauce is yummy! It comes without rice though and for that portion I found 9 pound quite expensive but it still fills you up

They told me the do not cook with gluten but there was gluten in the meal I ate. Food was tasty but I am a coeliac and recieved a medium to low dose which whacked me for a while. They are not aware of what is in their food so if you are seriously intolerant probably not worth risking.

The beef salad was awesome as always. Tried crispy duck pancakes and chicken prawn dumplings for the first time and they were delightful! Never disappointed with their food. Definitely would recommend.

I ordered my dinner at 18:13 and it’s now 20:42 and no sign of dinner. I have phoned constantly and I think the phone is off the hook As constantly engaged. This is totally unacceptable. Do not take the orders if you can’t fulfil them. You sent me an email saying 75 minutes which was wildly inaccurate. Where is my dinner?!!

Their hommade Dim sum is to die for. Absolutely delicious! Delivery was quick food was fresh and hot. Chicken balls were amazing, my only complaint is the sweet & sour sauce that came with them was rather salty, not as sweet what I am used to.

Am not reviewing the food of this place which is usually pretty decent. Unfortunately the rest of the overall experience is not so good. If I were you I would order in the restaurant and collect yourself as we had to wait nearly 2 hours for delivery. It was on a Friday evening so probably busy, but still. After 90 minutes I phoned to check status of the order and the lady pretty much put the phone down on me insisting the food was on it's way. When said meal arrived it was not very hot and did not seem very fresh as maybe it had been made a while before it could be delivered. Perhaps as they do UBER eats and deliver orders themselves it gets confusing for them...Either way I felt like I had wasted my money and time. By the time the food came it was a disappointment and we felt like instead just having a piece of toast and going to bed. Probably won't come here again in a hurry.

We had heard good things about Orienthai but unfortunately it was very poor. We ordered 3 main dishes and multiple starters and sides but only 2 Main dishes arrived. When we called we were told that we only ordered 2 but they had not written down the order! They said they would send it out later at a charge but by that point we had given up!

You gotta try the massaman curry. Awesome! ❤️

This restaurant saved me in my final year of uni. My friend would come over for movie night once a week and we would order from here religiously. The chef is a wonderful Thai woman so you know you’re getting authentic food and the owner is such a sweet man. Honestly, whenever a person comes to visit me I make sure we order from here because it’s insanely good food. This is probably what I miss most when I move back home.
