My only complaint was that the food was so good, I ate too much and now need to lie down. The Korean fried chicken was the best chicken I've ever had. Crispy and coated with this unique sauce that they make themselves. Its slightly sour, sweet and spicy. The hotpot with seafood was superb. It comes with this delicious kimchi broth which is spicy, but not too spicy. There's different kinds of sausage in there which I was apprehensive about at first, but thoroughly enjoyed. There's also muscles, whole prawns some pieces of squid, vegetables and noodles. As it's a hot pot you can take your time eating it which is a great experience. We had a medium hotpot between two people and struggled to finish it. Be aware that the portions are HUGE, and as well as noodles it comes with a side of rice. I'm glad we got the chicken as it was delicious, however it was not needed alongside another main. The service was quick, polite and attentive. Will absolutely come again!

The vegan hotpot was amazing, especially the kimchi. The lady serving us was so lovely and helpful, great service and fantastic vegan selections would 100% go back!

I tried kimchi stew with pork and the food is really delicious and hot. Chef is also friendly. If someone looking for authentic Korean cuisine, you should try at Kogi.

Every single dish is truly delicious. If you're hungry for Korean food, I definitely recommend the kimchi udon, which you can only taste here.

The best Korean food I’ve had in the UK! Service is fast, the food is delicious, served in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Portions are generous and I almost always take home leftovers. The staff are kind and attentive. Must try in Brighton!

me and my girlfriend (both vegetarians) love it here. great selection of clearly labelled vegan dishes at the back of the menu - the vegan fried chicken is our favourite. some dishes are a good size for sharing between two so it’s easy to over order if you’re not careful! but service is great and all in all it's a excellent place for lunch or dinner!

The waiter said they didn’t have 6 pieces of chiken but only 4 so he made a 50% discount and gave us free drinks, amazing. Also, food was very tasteful while the portions were pretty big.

I came to Brighton with my friends on a day trip to see Seven Sisters and wanted to eat Korean food, so I went there and it was really delicious and friendly! The assorted barbecue was really fresh and delicious, and the staff kept checking the grill and changing it so I was able to enjoy it until the end! And the seasoned chicken is really, really delicious! Highly recommended 🤤👍 And there was a Japanese employee named Mayu serving our table, and she was really friendly, bright, and attentive, which was great! I was thankful that they greeted me brightly even when I left. All the staff are friendly and the food is delicious, so I recommend going there once if you go to Brighton! !

Delicious authentic Korean food. I can say the following are delicious and authentic from my time in Seoul... The Kimchi pancakes, fried chicken, Bimbimbaps, beef fried rice all so yummy my tummy is mumbling as I write this.

Korean Chicken with Spicy Sauce Very delicious, light comes out of your mouth. I recommend you to order because here I ordered 2 dishes. The food here is absolutely lovely 😄 As a korean, this restaurant is the best one in Brighton. The staff were kind and friendly. We ordered sweet chilly fried chicken, sausage spicy stew, tteokbokki, and kimchi. My international friends really liked all of them, especially chicken. The size of the food was also big enough. I think this is the best Korean restaurant in Europe that serves Korean food the best! The workers are also very friendly!! As a Korean, I would say this restaurant serves the most proper Korean dishes among the other Korean restaurants in Europe, including UK. After arriving to the restaurant we were very warmly welcomed by restaurant manager Sam. He was lovely , kind, patient and professional when explaining all dishes. Food prepared by the chef and kitchen staff was delicious and beautifully presented ( especially hot stone bibimbap and japchae). My mum and I were very impressed and we will be definitely coming back for more.

It has quickly become my favourite Friday evening joint. Depending upon your spice tolerance, you can request the staff to amp up or down the flavors. My fav is the kimchi Ramen and the Korean Soju (a vodka like but better drink). It's a busy place so booking a place during the weekend maybe a good idea. Edit - May 2024 - I tried a new dish today. The beef bimbaap and I am deeply impressed. I met the chef and passed my gratitude. But the best person in all of this is Mayu, my server. She is a delight, so kind and patient with her servers, especially me. Totally come in here for the food AND the people.

There aren’t many Korean places in Brighton, so this is the perfect place if you fancy some Korean food, it’s my go to! Staff is absolutely lovely, a lot of them are Korean so it’s very authentic. Highly recommend.

The kimchi pancake was lovely. But our bibimpaps had out of date cucumbers. They tasted awful. And the food looked like it was not fresh, which we should've taken as an indicator.

We loved the experience of the raw BBQ meat being brought to the table by a lovely waitress who was delightfully polite and considerate, helping us Brits who are newbies to Korean food, to then cook it on the hot plate that was built into our table.

Absolutely loved the cozy ambiance at this restaurant! The seating was comfortable, and even during busy hours, the service was prompt. Reasonably priced menu with delicious options. Knowledgeable staff made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

The restaurant's atmosphere is VERY good. The chairs are comfortable. Although at rush hour there are a lot of people, the food is still quick. The price is very reasonable and the waiter is very informative. Highly recommended!!

Extremely disappointing. Firstly, throughout the whole dining experience, I think staff spoke about 6 words to us. We were waved over to an empty table, given menus and left to our own devices until we flagged down somebody to take our order. We opted for the "authentic Korean BBQ" and I guess the meal in is authentically prepared in silence as the food was just placed in front of us, the grill was turned on, they placed the meat on to cook (while it was still cold) and just walked away. At no point did a single person offer instruction on how to prepare the food, we weren't informed of any allergens, wasn't asked the usual "is everything okay with your meal?" At one point somebody came over and fiddled with the grill settings before walking off...in silence! Then they had the audacity to add a service charge onto the bill!

I gave a review a few months ago, but I didn’t like it… I visited again recently but yeah there was no improvement in this restaurant. Food was okay (overpriced tho) but the service is SO BAD. Also apparently the owner deleted my review because I gave them 1 star cuz I wasn’t satisfied….. I think they trick customers with fake reviews. Don’t trust this restaurant !!!!!!!!!!!!

I visited this restaurant on the evening of April 6th. I don't recommend this restaurant as a Korean. The quality of the food is very poor. Rice and pork smell bad, and the amount is very small for the price, so I told the staff, but the staff didn't admit it, didn't check it, and didn't apologise to me. The restaurant is very noisy and distracting because the staff talks loudly. I left a review on this part, but this restaurant deleted my review from Google Maps. Save your time and money.

The food was absolutely fantastic and the staff is the most helpful I’ve ever seen. My friend left her umbrella (which is a very important personal item to her) at the restaurant and the stuff managed to find it and shipped it all the way across the country to Edinburgh. Best place in England.

Simply put, this KOGI restaurant offers some of the best Korean food in Brighton and perhaps the best value from their menu's pricing. Everything I've tried on the menu is delicious, and the ones that especially stand out from the Kimchi-jjigae, Korean fried chicken with spicy sauce and all of the offered jeon (pancake). Staff are professional, waitress and waiter are considerate. We dine here regularly and highly encourage everybody to!

This seems like a really good restaurant. I went here with my wife and kids a few weeks ago, and the food was really good. I had grilled brisket, seafood and green onion pancakes, and kimchi stew, and the kimchi stew here was much more delicious than the one I had in Korea. When I asked the owner, he said that unlike other restaurants, no artificial seasonings are used here. I can really feel it in the taste. It was a truly satisfying meal. It seemed like a store where the owner was really passionate and worked very hard to promote Korean food. This is a place you can completely trust and eat.

When I was studying abroad, I met Chinese friends. Kogi Korean restaurant that I often go to! I went there a few years ago and haven't seen a woman in a long time. I stopped by again while traveling with a friend! The kindness of the owner who recognizes me I was impressed with the service. It still tastes the same and I eat it often. Dolsot rice and kimchi stew are acceptable. I admit that it tastes better than local Korean food. It reminds me of stir-fried pork again! My mouth is watering^^

Indulge in greasy food while traveling! Because I want to eat Korean food Old resident of Brighton I came here through the introduction of a British friend. This is a Korean restaurant. I knew it... Old and unchanging Korean food in the region As expected from a good restaurant, even after eating the food, I felt comfortable. It seems like an honest restaurant that rarely uses seasonings or other additives! As a bonus, I will keep the Korean owner’s friendly service as a good memory.🤗

Overall, the food was delicious, but as in other reviews below, it was absurd that the owner kept the service charge on his own rather than sharing it with the staff. The reason is that I gave it to him because the food was great and the staff service was good, but I didn't understand why the owner took it away. Now I understand why Koreans have a bad reputation...

While traveling in the UK, I wanted to eat Korean food, so I ate it unexpectedly and deliciously. I wasn't able to take pictures because of the schedule for my next travel destination, but the owner was very friendly and it tasted just like the food in Korea. ^^

Food is not worth for money. Also the workers seem too busy so wasn't easy to talk to them. Plus they charge service fees which apparently don’t even go to the employees at all when they work so hard during busy times!!

Whenever you go abroad, you will be happy to see Korean food wherever you go 😋 I went to KOGI because of the good reviews. It doesn't disappoint either. I had a mixed rice with vegetable and it was so good. You should be a bit careful as it was served in a heated pot. I definitely recommend it.

I had the most odd experience dining here, the food was as good as you’d expect, but the customer service was a bit weird. Asking us not to drink outside drinks is one thing but coming up to us 4/5 times throughout the meal is another... could actually be considered harassment at that point because what?! Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I can personally say I will not be back there EVER.

It was great to be able to enjoy a variety of Korean dishes in the UK. I wanted to eat spicy Korean food while traveling in the UK, so I stopped by Brighton on my way to London and had a delicious meal. If you remember the spicy taste of Korea, it was nice to eat a variety of tteokbokki, crispy fries, and chicken with chicken. The chicken was really good. It's delicious

My boyfriend and I visited Kogi last night and it was one of the best meals we’ve had in Brighton so far. All of the dishes were flavourful, seasoned well and we had a lot of fun using the BBQ together. (The chicken was perfectly crunchy, the dumplings and black bean noodles were so comforting and our favourites of the night)! It was our first time having Korean food and our waiter Sam was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, attending and gave us some laughs throughout the meal. We’ll definitely be back

This was my first time trying Korean food so I was really excited. I ended up ordering some Korean fried chicken and bulgogi (stir fried beef). Let me tell you, the Korean fried chicken is to die for!!! The sweet soy sauce is just on another level! The bulgogi was also delicious and presented so beautifully. I really loved the sweetness of it. Overall my visit to Kogi was a great experience. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful (even though I had a lot of questions as it was my first time having Korean food). Loved the kpop music too. Great atmosphere!!

Nice Korean family restaurant. Everything I've tried was great. Would recommend Korean fried chicken, Sundubu-jjigae, Haemul pajeon and hot stone pot bibimbap. My kids who can't eat spicy food love soy sauce chicken, udon with fishcake and jabchae so much. Staffs are nice and friendly.

You can experience Korean foods. It tastes very similar to the food I ate in Korea. And the atmosphere about this place is so good to enjoy having a meal. I really want to recommend this restaurant to other people. come to this place and have a special experience.😆😆

Really nice korean restaurant. Quick service. Very nice ambience. I loooooooved all their items. Went on a weekend and it was busy. Food tasted alright but the portion sizes were very disappointing, at £40 for 5 small pieces of pork belly, menu said this was for 3 people. Kfc was even worst, menu said it would be pieces, but that ended up being wings and small strips of chicken, completely different to what I have seen at other Korean places. Lastly the owner/manager, kept coming to our table and stared directly at us throughout the meal, not saying anything to us. Overall alright food, but portion size for the prices was really disappointing.

Got the pork belly for two, first time @ a Korean bbq and really really good. (Loved the cook yourself experience very unique as a British person) Recommend getting the sweet chilli fried chicken and prawn dumplings!!!! Good service, welcoming staff and nice/cosy atmosphere :D
