This shop always has something to temp me! If your unsure, just ask! The staff there are a wealth of knowledge on local cheese and accompanying chutneys and treats, so friendly and their Christmas hampers are top notch! Will be back again and again!!

Bought two tasty sandwiches here to take away. One was a Sussex Ham, and the other a brie, both on granary bread. Very good. The deli stocks a lot of very interesting produce. The cheeses looked great and I shall certainly buy a few on my next visit. Had been previously to the Brighton shop and so was acquainted with the wide variety of gourmet type food. Much needed deli in Hove.

Went here with a friend for the 1st this week and feel instantly in love with this new addition to Portland Road. A much needed cheese place just around the corner! The staff are very friendly and went back a few days later with hubby to pick up some of the cheese and tried a pecan tart - yum! There are a few cafe tables inside and just outside if you want to sit in.

I regret that I went there with my friend on 14 February 2025! Waiters very rude , and feels like they dont like their job! Very rude staff, I ordered tea before food, young waiter said they dont have tea at the moment and will be ready after 40 min, i said ok, after food I asked for tea again, waiter runes away, and hided behind taller guy, who seems administrator or higher waiter, he said we dont have here Tea! Rude service no bread included no tea! No mood !!! Worth place!

In a city where all-you-can-eat buffets cost around £12-13 (Brighton), I paid £21.70 for a plate of okra dish, 100g of yogurt, a small portion of lentil soup, and a tiny amount of pickles. It’s a restaurant that charges £5 for 100g of yogurt… If you’re dining here, make sure to check the menu before ordering sides. The taste was mediocre at best.

Exceptionally average Sunday roast. Nothing green on the plate. When questioned just told they didn't have any. The London Pride was horrible. Overall poor. Don't need to go back again.

Had the spring 3 course menu for £25 which was great value, added oysters which were from Dorset, gorgeously plump and flavoursome. Delicious and interesting food combinations simply presented and unfussy. Highly recommend the Mutton sausage (pictured). Good service, nice warming interiors. Enjoyed the wines which were recommended. Very solid 4s across the board but lacked a bit of wow factor to push into the 5*
