The chicken soup was good but the kebab wasn’t very tasty. Generally good

Disappointing at the price point. Got a takeout . 2 small pieces of bread, no sauces and the chips were awful at £4.50 !!! Won’t return

One of Brightons best-kept secrets, staff are very friendly and the food is sensational, homous served with warm rustic bread and grilled halloumi is highly recommended, we had a selection of lamb and chicken dishes as part of a set menu and every item was delicious. If you're not sensitive to caffeine I would strongly suggest having a Turkish coffee to round off the meal, it's like a super-strong espresso and the coffee from here has a velvety-smooth, nutty, choccolate flavour to it.

Very nice and quick service. Starters, salad, Karisik Kabab and Family size Kabab was very tasty. Couldn’t try pide and lahmacun(Turkish pizza) but absolutely will next time. ~£25 per person very reasonable.

The food is not very tasty, despite the prices are considered to be high compared to food quality and portion size, other Turkish, middle eastern restaurants provide better food, iv been here once, i don't think am going to come back again.

I visited the villa today and I have to say it is the best Turkish restaurant in town, the chicken was so soft and delicious and the service was absolutely amazing, very warm and welcoming. Will definitely be returning!

Walked past many a time and not gone in but mum and I needed somewhere to have lunch not too far from Brighton centre, we didn't regret it, wasn't the cheapest place and no sign of a lunchtime special menu, but the Turkish tea and the food were plentiful, hot and tasty

Always reliable and great value. We had a chicken soup and a lentil soup (£5.50 each). Both were delicious though the lentil soup could have been warmed up more. Then we shared a sort of pastitsio (chicken and pasta with bechamel on top), for £7.50. We were both full after. The bill came to £18.50 (though we only drank tap water). The Villa is one of our go to restaurants in Brighton.

Love this place ❤️ come at least once a week. Traditional Turkish food... cooked with love and from the heart . From the specials board to the menu, everything is made up to its expectations! The home-made bread is exceptional. From grilled meats to soups, every experience is special, and I am still working my way through the menu! Good selection of wines and traditional beef! It's a hidden gem right next to Brighton Beach.

Food is really terrible and horrified. It is not a authentic Turkish food. Such as a local own horrified food. No taste food. Price is too high and service is really not good.

The best place to get a very good lunch in Brighton. The portions are big and the food is always delicious. The owner is really generous and friendly. For take-away the restaurant is also great - still big (!) portions for a very affordable price of 8 to 9 pounds. Highly recommend!!

I was literally sad on my recent visit as things weren’t the same. I have been coming here for years no matter where I have lived, Surrey, London and Kent. I love to start with Lahmucon, Turkish pizza, but the owner/cook wouldn’t make it even though it is on the menu, So we had chicken kebab, which was decent, and the bread was nice, sucek, and a lame Akdeniz Salad, which was mostly iceberg unfortunately. So, as we were still in town, we popped back in the next day, asked for the lahmucon again, and the grumpy guy said ‘no’ again, with no reason why. #disappointing If that isn’t your fav dish then you will be fine. I also miss an aubergine dish which was no longer on the menu. No mints or olives or tiny treats like the old days either. Turkey is too far to go for my lahmucon fix!

Delicious freshly cooked dishes always feel like a home cooked experience. We’ve been coming as a family to this restaurant for about ten years. The people are simply wonderful. We always get a smile and a wave from the owners.

Was looking for something to eat before attending a concert and spotted this little place hidden away. We are glad we did, the food here is delicious and great value. Would definitely recommend, authentic wholesome fare. We chose the chef selection meze & mixed kebabs - all really tasty.

Wow, just wow. The food in this restaurant is delicious, authentic and fabulous. Such great quality food, fabulous wine and all for such great value. If you want authentic Turkish food that’s great quality this restaurant is a must visit. We can’t wait to return.

We ate here as a group of 6 friends on a Saturday night in February. We eat out regularly as a group and this was our first time here. We had prebooked. The waiting staff were very friendly and good fun. The food and drinks were good. The menu extensive. Based in Pool Valley in Brighton adjacent to the main bus station it felt more like a cafe than a restaurant, with restaurant prices. We all enjoyed our evening and left feeling happy and full.

We came here for some late lunch and was very happy with what we got. The service was decent and the food was spot on. We both had different types of lamb dish, which was delicious. The portion sizes were huge! Which you can’t grumble at. It’s not centrally located but still had lots of custom, which is a good sign.

Really really lovely food. Chicken Shish (Tavuk shush) was excellent, and falafel is fab! Didn’t have two dessert we wanted so very kindly gave us something else in the house.

However, their iskender was not the original iskender, the taste was not bad , it is recommended. You should try Turkish tea and lentil soup.

We had a great meal. The waiter was really chatty and friendly. We would recommend getting hot dishes from under the counter. We had a lamb stew with rubber beans and a chicken stew with potatoes. Both came with a lot of rice, bread and pickled vegetables. We also had an excellent bottle of red Turkish wine. The bill came to £40 for both of us. Without wine, it would have cost just £10 each (excl tip).

I have been to many Turkish restaurants and this has to be the one that was the most disappointing. I wish it was better as we were looking for a halal place to eat in Brighton. Big prices, little portions. For £18 we took the mixed kebab plate that was not enough portions. They gave us 3 calamari rings for £8. I know it's a family business and I did not want to give a poor review. But I do hope they improve their service.

This is the third time we have eaten here and each time it has been equally delicious. The service is good, the food is excellent and try the Efes beer, it is very good. Go for the family platter you won’t be disappointed!

Regretfully I wanted to give this place a better review. However there isn’t enough love or care in their restaurant. They use cheaper cuts of meat which lack depth of flavour. I found a piece of cartilage in the minced lamb kebab. I don’t want to know which part of the animal is ground up to make the mince. The chicken used was the type that’s plumped up with water. The salad was given with a lemon that still had the sticker on it. If they put lemons in a salad that still have a sticker on it then how do I know if they washed the lemon before cutting it? The decor is tired. The music was good. I felt tired, heavy and bloated after eating the meat. I didn’t want to leave a poor review because it’s a small family run business however unlike other Turkish restaurants in Brighton which have similar prices, I don’t think that they respect their customers by not caring for the quality and care of preparation of their food. If they read this review I hope that they improve their service. On balance I won’t ever be returning.

Ordered Lam shish got given chicken and was told no that’s Lam, BAD customer service, waiter hardly spoke English! I don’t recommend coming to this place. Expensive for what they give! Small portion.

I left the restaurant with full of regretfulness. This is literally the worst Turkish restaurant I've seen throughout the UK. Not a family friendly place with primitive management - staff were swearing and screaming. They didn't look after us as customers - I ordered soup which was not delicious as well as lahmacun - I even couldn't taste the meat. Beyti was somehow fine. All dishes came in rather small portion. These are my experience I already deleted it from my to-go list.

Quite possibly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had to eat (via Uber eats). Firstly the baba Ganosh arrived cut up and frozen solid (inedible). Secondly the pickles came looking like they just been pored out a jar from Tesco’s mainly made with carrots and gherkins 🥴. But the final nail in the coffin was the chilli prawns aka Karides Tava. I got sent the most sad Amount and type of prawns there must of been about 5/6 just barely cooked and the type you’d put in your prawn cocktail sandwich for a kids buffet. All in all really bad meal and when we rang up the guy in the end of the phone was not understanding and very rude to my partner. For £60 we could of eaten out somewhere for less and better quality.

This little gem is hidden away just of the pier seafront. When we arrived first impression was like a cafe, but we were made very welcome, the food is excellent and very authentic, large portions all cooked behind the counter where you can watch the cooking, service was great. I would do 0 star if i could we went there with my family and got (food poison) the bread was from yesterday meat wasn’t cooked properly again from yesterday we couldn’t sleep all night because food poison never again

The food and services here were excellent . So glad we ordered the mixed grill as it gave the restaurant a chance to show what they can do with meat. Chicken in particular is difficult to get right but here it was well flavours and succulent. If you are in Brighton give it a go. You will be glad you did.

Amaizing, fresh and realy delicious meals

I used to go to the restaurant when I’m holiday science 2019.I was absolutely harassed by the person who might be a manager,,shouting to me why I don’t close the door and absolutely come with full of hate..never recommend

Used to be some of the best Turkish south of North London, fantastic, flavourful and massive portions. Now the portions are miserly, the bread is like a rock, the lamb shish meat is chewy, lacks flavour and has a nasty smell. The kofte and chicken shish are okay but where it used to be 9/10, it is now 2/10. Not to mention the miserliness for the sauce, not only do you have to pay £1.50 for it but you only get about 15ml. The chilli sauce does still taste good though. I really hope you can sort yourselves out, you really had excellent food just a few months ago. Since the food went downhill, this is the 3rd time and last chance I have given this place for it to improve, we used to order every other week. Sadly the food appears to get worse every time... Highly recommend anyone with any expectations or having eaten decent Turkish food to stay away from this place. Small portions, tasteless and quite smelly.

Lamb soup smelt like raw meat. Had a lot of fat and an unpleasant smell. It was like it was made with just water and lamb fat offcuts from main meal prep. Mixed grill was okay

Visited this restaurant on Monday 2nd August 2021 while on a family holiday to Brighton. The Restaurant is tucked away of the main road and not really much to look at from the outside, due to the age of the building and restrictions however that is the only negative thing I can say about it. From the minute we entered we were greeted by a very friendly waiter, who seated and tended to us for the evening. The menus are packed with variety and choice. Other diners I observed were mostly Turkish and for a Monday night there weren’t any tables empty which all was a good sign. We ordered the Shared Platter which didn’t disappoint, it was packed with Chicken and Lamb, served with Rice, Salad and Bread. The Turkish wine is also a must. The portions were more than enough and we left feeling stuffed. This place is a diamond despite the rough exterior and hope it will be around for many years to come as we will be back on our next visit.
