Excellent food, nice atmosphere, all round great place. Definitely recommend to anyone. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

Visited while on a couple of days break while in Brighton for breakfast. My husband had the English breakfast which was largely fine but I had poached eggs and avocado on toast and the egg white wasn’t cooked - another 30 secs or minute would have been fine but no one likes to eat uncooked egg white.

We visited as a family and tried a couple of the sandwiches, Philly cheesesteak was incredible, one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, my wife had the cluck-me sandwich which was also amazing. If I lived nearer I would come here a lot, if you’re in Brighton it’s an absolute must visit!

A truly exceptional place where I enjoyed an incredibly slow-cooked Philly Steak, likely the best in Brighton. The warm welcome is a real credit to the experience.

We walked into this place for lunch, we were attracted by it because of the good prices. The portions are great even if you choose the “small sandwich” option. They have some vegetarian options as well. The restaurant itself is small but cosy, but there are two things that lowered my rating: the temperature and the toilet. When people would come in and out the door would stay open and the cold would get inside, and then it would just stay open! Therefore different people had to stand up to close it manually. Please change the door or put up a sign that says to close it, please! The toilet is dirty, cold (because you access it from a back door that is outside), stinks and there were big flies flying around… honestly a bit scary. It’s a pity because I think the restaurant itself has good food and a lot of potential.

Don't judge by the appearance. The food was delicious. My friend tried the Social Board Reuben (small) as well, she really liked it. If you are planning to order the Cajun Spice Loaded Fries, make sure you share with someone - it's kind of impossible to finish it alone in one go. Reasons for not giving 5 stars: (i) food were a bit too heavy; and (ii) felt a bit thirsty afterwards.

This is undoubtedly one of the finest burgers I've enjoyed in quite some time. The service was welcoming, and I didn't have to wait very long before a delicious burger and fries were in front of me. I will certainly be making this a regular dining destination.

This establishment and its staff are exceptional. I have become a regular visitor and also frequently order takeout. The sandwiches are consistently fantastic, and the loaded fries are incredibly delicious. On two occasions, I arrived just as they were closing, and the staff kindly went out of their way to prepare my sandwich. It truly brightened my day. 💜

We called into social board on a visit to Brighton and WOW was we pleased we did! Food was amazing, between the two of us we had 2 smaller sandwiches and shared a portion of Katsu fries. My Philly sandwich was amazing the other half had the halloumi sandwich that was superb and those Katsu fries are to dye for!! Great location, cool venue , friendly and knowledgeable staff around their menu and the food was amazing! Such a shame we don’t live closer or social board would definitely be one of my go to places 👍🏼

Fortunate to discover this gem for lunch during our visit to Brighton. While I initially perceived it as somewhat pricey, the incredible taste and generous portion sizes made it absolutely worth it. The halloumi sandwich was a delightful choice, and I would certainly return if I found myself in Brighton again.

This is the second time I’ve bought a hot sandwich from Social Board now and it’s been dry! Bread on bread and salad filling, hardly any chicken. For £10 a sandwich, I expect decent filling!

Small but nice coffee shop. Never saw the staff smile and struggled to get a welcome when arriving, but the coffee was ok and the service quick. Biggest let down was no choice at all for gluten free milk alternatives, a real surprise and extremely unusual for 2024

Pulled up hanging out of my arse to the lovely décor, chilled music and generally good ambience. Ordered from the lovely staff, payed, waited around 10-15 minutes, and trust me in the case of Social Board, good things really do come to those who wait. The large porchetta came out looking like the kind of sandwich I would want to shag. First half gone, I look up, face covered in salsa Verde, give the chef a thumbs up and get straight back to business with the second half. I cannot stress how important it is that you, the reader, have a go at this sandwich. The pork, the salsa verde, the ciabatta everything was impeccable. I entered a shell of a man, and left feeling ready to tackle the day with ferocity.

I revisited this place in kemp town on rainy day. I have to say it got better steaks sandwich with only rings and triple peppercorn sauce? All the superlatives! Truly the tastiest breakfast ever!!!! During Covid when we lived in Kemp town we ordered from the Social Board every Friday. We moved overseas 2 yrs ago & this weekend were back in Brighton. So we HAD to visit Social Board. We arrived early (jet lag). The menu has gotten bigger (yay) but the quality & deliciousness has not diminished. 2 black coffees, 1 x sausage bacon egg bap & 1 x halloumi, portobello mushroom bap. So so good. All the flavours. Kept me full all day. Do yourself a favour & eat here. Your taste buds will be eternally grateful You can thank me later, You’re welcome.

Beautiful cafe, you are able to simultaneously take a dookie and stare at yourself as you do so, perfect for the kinda poo poo inducing double espresso this place offers (though truly delicious.) This has such good sandwhiches and the price is so decent for them - my go to is defo the porchetta its delicious. i ate here a few times now, and have ordered takeaway a handful of times and that food does not disappoint. The downfall of this place is that the staff are unnecessarily rude, and it kinda crushes the vibe when you just wanna eat your meal.

Totally recommended, fab sandwiches with tasty and fresh ingredients and excellent service. I had the Reuben, my family all had different sandwiches and I would have eaten all of them if I had room.

£9.99 for a sandwich can seem expensive but you get what you pay for here, top quality sandwiches, fresh bread, fresh salad, high quality throughout. Very filling, probably my favourite sandwich spot. Cannot go back to lunchtime meal deals while Social Board is round the corner. Worth the extra few quid!

Phenomenal sandwiches. Have had the Philly, Reuben and Porchetta and they are all incredibly tasty with plenty of sauce. The Foccacia bread is gorgeous and soft

Amazing breakfast that's good value (served until 1pm). I had the vegan breakfast which was super tasty and their coffee is REALLY good. The only thing that lets this place down, and realyl badly in my opinion is everything is served in disposable cups/trays. The paper food tray makes it difficult to eat the food as a lot of my breakfast was stacked up and the paper at the bottom was soggy, so ended up with bit of paper mixed in my food. Coffee = in a paper cup. Orange juice = served in a plastic bottle. Cutlery = plastic (yes, both the knife and fork predictably broke). They're clearly not a fan of washing up. It's so frustrating that they must produce so much waste, I think despite the really good food and drink, I'd go elsewhere next time I'm in Brighton.

Myself and boyfriend came here for early dinner. Both ordered baconsky burgers with onion rings. Service was chilled and received food quite quickly. Drinks were cans that you took out of the fridge yourself. The extra pot of sauces were nice and added a nice touch.

Great breakfast sandwiches and vegetarian breakfast.

On a wet afternoon, all I want is a good cup of cappuccino/latte. I have to say, there are so many coffee places in Brighton, we endeavour to try new ones most weeks. We had an amazing cappuccino (£3.30) here last week so we nipped in again today. Another great cuppa: perfect temperature, strong coffee aroma and great body. Can’t comment on the food but certainly, our new favourite coffee stop along St. James Street.

Absolute rip off. No white sugar, only brown because it is “organic”. £20 for a couple of small chip portions, a tea, coffee and a can of coke. Staff are mardy and have a vile attitude.
