Just a truly wonderful gem. I'd like to specifically shout out the dinner service team on March 20, 2024—some of the most friendly, attentive, intelligent, yet not overbearing or obseqious, table service I've ever enjoyed at a restaurant. We had a fantastic experience dining at wild flor for my birthday and our anniversary. We were even given personalised cards for our special day. Tina was an exceptional host, very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend!

My fiancé and I recently visited for dinner and had the most fabulous time. Firstly I need to thank the owner (James) and our fabulous server Chela (sorry if it’s spelt wrong!) on the incredibly warm welcome that we received, it really settled us down after coming in from the freezing cold and rain! Once sat, everything was absolutely on point, in particular with our fantastic wine recommendation on a Georgian red that was truly tremendous and then beautiful food to back it up! The food is elegant, without over complicating itself, working on great produce, cooked simply and with a serious amount of love. The end product is simply delicious and with the hospitality of the restaurant staff an absolute jewel in Brightons booming restaurant market. Thank you all very much.

First class neighbourhood dining. Last night my partner (vegetarian) and I enjoyed our first meal at Wild Flor. The food was great, the wine list is a treasure trove, we had a true gem that complemented our meal perfectly. Simply the best cheese board I've had in years, paired brilliantly with an exceptional port that rounded off the meal beautifully. But what truly sets Wild Flor apart is the unparalleled service and the cozy, welcoming ambience. The team struck the perfect balance of friendliness and attentiveness, making us feel at home from the moment we stepped in. The decor, with its subtle elegance and warmth, alongside the soft lighting, created an inviting oasis on a rainy, windswept Friday evening. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Wild Flor for transforming our night into a memorable experience. It's a place that exemplifies the joy of dining out, not just for the food and drink, but for the moments and memories created. I only wish we had discovered this haven years ago. If you haven't yet had the pleasure, do yourself a favor and visit soon. We certainly plan to return!

We had a lovely time at Wild Flor. We were particularly impressed with the ambiance and service which felt both romantic and down-to-earth. Perfect for our mid week meal. The food was of course fantastic and inventive too and we can’t wait to try the Spring set menu

Went here for a treat dinner on Friday night, the food and service were fantastic. The set menu at £25 for 3 courses is really good value (albeit we added some sides with our mains and think they were needed). Would 100% recommend

Delicious food, but overcharging us by not taking off our reservation deposit from the bill left a bitter taste. Check your bill carefully - and make sure the amount put into the credit card machine matches what it says on the bill. Everyone has to pay a deposit, so it seems difficult to believe this was a genuine error as every bill will be made up this way.

Delicious food - really enjoyed the trout and cabbage + stilton gratin, plus lovely cosy but elegant ambience with great acoustics, exposed brick, nice lighting and music.the service was absolutely exceptional, especially Chella who served us was completely gracefully patient and kind.Would definitely come again!

My wife has been before and chose the venue for a pre-Valentine's celebration. It was my first visist and I was pleased that she did. The staff were friendly, professional, attentive, and helpful. The food was good; good enough to warrant coming again. (I'm quite picky.) My wife enjoyed the two wines she had and I was genuinely impressed by the tempranillo I chose - what a treat (and the cheapest red on the list)! The ambience was nice, especially as all the guests seemed old enough to know to use their indoor voices while dining. It was all very enjoyable - thank you.

Really underwhelming. My husband and I are both big foodies and I had read so many good things about this restaurant and was so excited to try the food but for what was a pretty expensive meal the food was very average. We went on a Saturday night (having booked a good month in advance) and considering the menu is very limited, two of the mains had already sold out which is pretty bad form considering it was a Saturday night and the restaurant knows how many people are coming because you have to book. So we were left with either pork shoulder, fish or the plant based option. We both got the pork shoulder and honestly what we got looked/tasted like a meal you would get at a decent pub - just pork with a bit of gravy and some mushy squash. The greens we ordered on the side were watery and flavourless. The squid starter was pretty flavourless too. Maybe we just went on a week where the menu wasn’t very good but unfortunately this meal was nothing to write home about and i felt that the restaurant had been massively overhyped.

James and the team worked very hard to give me a lovely birthday lunch in the private room upstairs. Everything was perfect, and all the guests commented not only on how great the food was but also how lovely the staff were. This place is a real gem.

Dinner out with friends, our first one at Wild flor. We chose it as it was so well reviewed and we had great expectations for our evening. Apart from Jersey Oysters (which our friends said were perfectly fresh and immaculately served) and wine selection, we were disappointed. It might have been our menu choices, but our chosen plates were fairly bland (both hoggets and the pork terrine en croute) and uninspiring. The Dundee cake was a true rendition of Dundee marmalade and thus a bit of an uplift at the end of our meal. For the price, we would have expected better fayre. I’m not sure we can afford to give it another go - there’s too much ground to be covered to get from what we experienced to amazing. For £100/ head we could eat significantly better elsewhere in Brighton.

Incredible place! The best service and food we've had in Hove. Interior all finished to a high standard making for a lovely setting. Personable staff and really attentive. My wife and I are both vegan and were very well catered for. Highly recommend.

Not quite up to par with what we expected. The service couldn’t be faulted - super friendly and attentive. However; value for money was low on the food. Oysters were delicious, but all of our mains (some of which were £30 plus) lacked in both portion size and flavouring. The risotto main came with far too much oil, so much that we asked for extra bread to mop it up with. Overall not an unpleasant evening but considering the price per head we left feeling totally underwhelmed. Had to get chips on the way home!

As a Scotsman from Burns' home county of Ayrshire, I really appreciated the Burns' theme night, including the poem extract on the menu. You even surprised me with 'red pudding' which I'd never encountered up north. We'll be back next week for the Digby evening - our third visit so far this year. I think it's safe to say we've found our new favourite restaurant in Brighton & Hove. Thank you.

London quality dining in Hove. Outstanding atmosphere, service and food. Hove has many good choices but this really is that bit better.

Fantastic meal, set menu incredibly good value, best pork belly for a long while, loved the lardo, chard , blue cheese starter. Great service, Will definately return!

The ambience of the restaurant and the staff were very good but, apart from that, the food was very disappointing and not very good value. The oysters were lovely but my mussels starter was like drinking sea water and inedible. They did replace it but there was little difference in the saltiness. My husband’s pate was nice but very cold so obviously straight out of the fridge. My risotto main was completely swimming in a vast amount of oil on the plate, it was pretty tasteless and uninteresting and the alioli had way too much garlic in and was inedible. My husband’s brill, at £37 including way too salty carrots, was a tiny slither of tasteless fish. His spotted dick pudding was undercooked and heavy. The staff dealt with our issues very professionally but I would not consider ever going back.

Superlative in every way, intimate space, delightful staff, fantastic food - simply the best way to spend an evening in Hove - don’t miss it

Amazing food, fantastic hosting from Faye, service from Kevin, and the food was astounding - did I mention that already. The attention to our group's needs including specific serious dietary requirements was peerless. It wasn't just a meal, it was an experience. Also the food was great.

Some friends and I went to Wild Flor for our Christmas party lunch. What an amazing experience we all had! The private dining room was beautifully laid up. A personalised menu was a lovely touch. The staff were fun and friendly but also discreet. And so to the food… Wowzas a great choice for everyone on the set lunch menu. Totally delicious offerings which went marvellously with the cocktails and wines that we chose! We left vowing to return again! We traveled from Worthing to Hove… some by train and some by bus so that we could have the best experience and we sure did! Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful memory to take into the festivities.

Have been meaning to try for over a year. Most evenings I walk past and see the staff having the evening meeting ore service. I’m impressed. Place is warm and open. Staff are happy and un intrusive yet knowledgable. Wine list to re mortgage your house for but basic wines are well matched to the menu on offer. This is a beautiful place to eat. Next time may ask to visit the kitchen.

Love going to Wildflor the food is always expectional, the blackboard shows exactly where the food is sourced and the owners are really lovely, genuine people. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed and friendly. Can not fault it

Seven of us for dinner on a Saturday evening: reception was friendly and efficient and we were shown to a table upstairs. The menu is fairly brief and suits a sophisticated palate: those with simpler tastes might find it a bit hard to choose. The food is beautifully cooked and nicely presented: the wine list is extensive and can be expensive (one of our party chose a Syrah which was enjoyable but cost almost £90). Starters and desserts are in the £10-12 range and mains around £25-30. It’s certainly a popular restaurant and virtually every seat was taken.

We had the three course set menu, which was an amazing bargain, especially for the quality of the cooking and ingredients. All three courses were delicious. Staff were all great too - very friendly yet efficient. A lovely place to have dinner.

Lovely little restaurant in Hove. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Loved the cosy vibe, great for a casual date night. Went for Octoberbest which is fantastic value. Enjoyed the mussels, suet pudding and pavalova, fish cooked well, only dish we weren’t so keen on was the black pudding. Would definitely go again.

We visited Wild Flor this week as we were let down on a booking error for Bincho yakitori, I must say we had an amazing meal in a relaxed and cozy atmosphere! We have not visited for a while, but we were so glad we chose Wild Flor. Knowing James and Rob the owners from their Ginger Pig days, we are always impressed by their professionalism and the quality of the food at Wild Flor…not to mention some of the best service in Brighton & Hove! Everything about Wild Flor is outstanding. The food is divine, we were particularly impressed with the veal chop and the grouse. They have a great wine list with a really friendly and helpful sommelier. The staff overall were fantastic, really attentive. The ambience is also great. One of the best meals and dining experiences I’ve had in a very long time. We will be back!

Walked down to Hove from Brighton on a particularly busy day - found this little gem and they managed to find space for the two of us. Everything was exceptional - the food was five stars, the oysters were out of this world and the service even better. So glad we found this place!

James, Faye and Rob are magnificent at what they do, as are all of the team. This is our favourite restaurant in Hove, and never fails to deliver a top evening out. An ever changing menu, the food always hits the spot, and the wine choice here is stunning. If you like your wine alongside nice food, this is the best restaurant in Brighton and Hove to go to in my opinion. Service is impeccable. A real joy - thank you!

Came here for dinner for the first time since pre-Covid times. This is a lovely, tranquil Hove restaurant with a reputation for a great wine selection. Service was attentive and the atmosphere cozy. The menu is seasonal and always offers some unexpected choices. I had the puntarelle alla romana - which made for a really delicious starter - I loved it so much I could eat it all the time. My main of pansotti of salt baked swede was a bit of a let down though - essentially swede ravioli in a broth, rather flavourless and unsubstantial. My husband's shiitake & spelt dumpling was much better and well-seasoned. My cheese for dessert was very nice but not groundbreaking, same for my husband's chocolate tart. I didn't love our wine choices as much as I did last time. I feel for the prices portions could be a tad bigger as they are rather small and for £24 odd pounds the swede pasta just wasn't acceptable. Having said that we did have a nice evening though.

We had a family dinner and enjoyed ourselves very much. The service in the upstairs dining room was excellent. Food was well prepared and well presented. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only dark spot on this otherwise perfect evening was an awkward welcome and goodbye by a presumably intoxicated staff member.

Dessert is the most excellent part. The dinner is fine.

Exceptional food and perfect service. Beautifully fresh ingredients imaginatively and lovingly put together. Everybody clearly takes great pride in what they do and it really shows. The lamb was the best lamb dish we had ever tasted. If only we lived in Brighton we would visit regularly. Overall a wonderful dining experience, we can’t recommend more strongly!

This is definitely one of the finest dining experiences I've had in Brighton & Hove. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was romantic and felt quite intimate. It's on the pricier side, but worth it. The sourdough bread is to die for.

I think this is our favourite restaurant in Hove. In the midst of some amazing food offerings around here, Wild Flor stands out - the menu is so interesting, the food is absolutely perfect, the wine is lovely and the service is fantastic. We are regular diners and every time we leave remarking how incredible this restaurant is!

Absolutely beautiful beef and pork main and lovely chocolate dessert. we went for a 80th birthday party for about 30 people and the organisation was wonderful. Without doubt this is one f Brighton and Hove's great restaurants.

We hired the private dining space for my 40th birthday, where we celebrated with 25 members of my friends and family. I cannot fault the food, service and atmosphere. From booking, menu planning and right through to the food and service on the night it was impeccable. We couldn't recommend the restaurant more, thank you so much to Faye and her team for such a special evening.

Last week we had an amazing time celebrating our wedding day, and the success and joy of the day was largely down to the team at Wild Flor. From the initial communications, to creating the menus, accommodating various dietary requirements of our guests, and some special requests, Faye, James and the whole team were just amazing! The restaurant itself is beautiful, the team incredibly friendly and welcoming, location perfect for the beach and Hove lawns, and of course the food - we enjoyed every bite of the 3 courses we had and our guests echoed the same feeling. To Faye and James - thank you so much to you and all of your super team members, you made our day so easy and stress free, and helped us so much in the planning of it all. The friendly staff were all too keen to make us feel welcome and acomodate for gluten intolerance. Special mention to Faye that really above above and and beyond beyond ( yes I said that double). The Pomme Anne are LIFE CHANGING. the trout and horseradish marscapone is very delicious. We will certainly be coming back to work our way through their eve changing menu. I cannot wait!

very nice place, good location good vibes, but the food was just very disappointing. for the price i would have expected much much better quality. no seasoning, undercooked pasta, overcooked vegetables and fish. side dishes had no taste (buttered greens) and the only vegan option was practically a bowl of steamed vegetable. good ideas but unfortunately poor execution

We loved our anniversary meal at Wild Flor. The food was excellent and very well presented, and the front of house staff were very friendly and just perfect throughout. I started the mullet tartare to start which was very delicate and subtly flavoured, allowing the fish to shine, and the ox cheek for main which was beautifully tender and really delicious. Cheese to finish, and both my choices were belters. We will be back!

I chose based on what I could see other people eating. Didn’t regret this - the shin of beef was excellent. A warm welcome and didn’t get weird about me being a solo female (which can happen). A warm, intimate, friendly atmosphere, grown-up. Pricey, but worth it.
