Just stopped for a cup of tea, was lovely being righting the beach.

Surprisingly good food - best panini I’ve had in a long while, always find time to stop off here when out with the kids at the beach.

Stopped for a bite to eat on a very windy day. Had a toasty and coffee, sandwich was delicious and packed with fillings. Clean, friendly (dog-friendly) and right on the edge of the beach. Would definitely be visiting again.

A must-visit for an ice-cream and a cold can of Rio on a hot summer's day

This is a good cafe situated on the beach. Outside seating only.

Super sweet staff. It's fish and chips, go with low expectations and be pleasantly surprised :) gorgeous staff and obviously a lovely view with seating and parasols.

Great food but not great service. After having yummy fish and chips tried to order ice cream and another pint - would you believe I was sent to another window? The same outlet, the same staff... Finally, having obtained the pint, ice cream not available as machine being refilled, and expressed my dissatisfaction, was told by senior member of staff: just go away! YOU just go away and leave the business you can not manage, MISTER!

Extortionate ! £19 for a mediocre aperol spritz and a tiny Greek salad..

Stopped here for ice ceam. Good selection of flavours. Served very quickly. Not cheap but lovely ice ceam cone.

Lovely little place to sit and have a café drink/meal. Staff nice and friendly. It was busy when we arrived, we were a group of ten. Meal served quickly. Staff were busy making sure the tables were cleared and clean. Thank you.

We had just eaten so did not buy food however what we saw being served looked very appetizing. Certainly we will be back to try the Fish & Chips.

Absolutely lovely spot to stop along the beachfront. We had a gorgeous ham and cheese panini and the cheese, bacon and cranberry panini. Quick service, friendly staff and high quality ingredients. Will be back!

Toilets here looked like they hadn't been cleaned since the beginning of the year

I love this place. A beach cafe. There are not that many and this one is great. Good fish and chips. I often stop for a beer after a swim. Outdoor only. Good selection of ice cream or food. I rated the food as four star, only because I also go to expensive restaurants in this area (Hove) but actually it is good food. You buy your food at the window and they are friendly and attentive, then they bring it to you. Worth a visit if on Hove beach and hungry or thirsty.

My go to café when I need the tranquility of being on the beach with fantastic views. Staff are lovely, food is great. What more do you need? Prices are good value. Ideal for a rest when walking along the prom between Hove Lagoon and Brighton Pier.

Nice location. Prices are high for what it is, paid £5 for a normal and a child’s whippy ice cream (which was dropped by child before he even got to try it in front of the shop), came with no sauces (was offered a flake). Couldn’t see signage for these so I was shocked at the price but they had already been made before price was said. Have had chips before from here which are average exactly how you’d expect them to be.

It was a lovely day but Lex's Cafe is outstanding. Great position, next to the beach, well run and organised, there is obviously a queue, but orders are taken quickly and delivered efficiently. All food is fresh and they are licensed, so sell beer too!

My boyfriend managed to book an igloo to celebrate our anniversary. The location was beautiful even tho they don’t tell you when you book that you will be sharing the igloo with other people and tables which makes it impossible to have a romantic/private dinner. The starters were amazing and then we got a plate of pasta which was alright but nothing special. The stuff was nice and polite. It was a beautiful location and so grateful to have experience it but I would probably never go back again.

Cheapy Chicken is amazing. Incredible to find a restaurant that is absolutely empty on a crowded high street! Their amazing economy prices totally made me ignore the lack of colour in the batter and the weird smell emanating from beneath the pavement outside, because it was full flavour. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you've had a few too many, and feel the need for some cheap chicken... May even help you clear out for the morning to give you a clear start to the day!

This venue is one of the best and most honest seafront cafes in Brighton and hove. Staff are all friendly, helpful and actually seem like they want to be there, a rarity in minimum wage at Brighton cafes… The food itself has greasy spoon vibes but that’s their thing! Everything does what it says on the tin. Pint for less than £6 on the beach? Not too shabby

Really like this place. There's a great team here and nothing seems to be too much for them. They do awesome jacket potatoes.

3rd time I've been to this place, and each and every time they impress me with their customer service, friendly smiles and quick service. Wheelchair friendly aswell which helps! And they bring the food to the table. Right on the beach but also tables on the side walk. Lovely family place.

I had breakfast, lunch and dinner there and the food is superb! Very friendly staff, owner is lovely. Definitely recommend a visit there.

Just had a Burger and Chips and a coffee. Chips(fries) are pretty much what you'd expect as they're the same everywhere. The burger on the other hand was awesome, way beyond what I expected. Friendly service and a wonderful view. Update - another visit, another burger. The burger was completely different and burnt.

Lovely food and you can have a tipple if you want one as well. Plus they sell Movenpick which is the best ice cream in the world.

Had such a lovely experience here. Haven’t been before but came across it on a nice walk along the sea front. Staff were very polite and went above and beyond to give us the best experience. I would recommend!!!

Great cafe kiosk- tea, coffee, food, cakes, booze, ice creams. Lex is a lovely host. Usually the queue is short and you will find a seat at the tables or sit on the beach if not. A Hove gem.

Stopped here twice whilst in Hove Nice friendly owner. Had a bacon bap first time and a delicious ice cream the next time. Nice spot right by the beach.

Great cafe and staff ,,, ive been working in Hove and go down to the beach every day for a swim ,, ive called to Lexi’s every day and the food is delicious , the flapjacks are evil and amazing, all served by helpful really nice staff ,,, I would not be able to pass through Hove now without stopping,,, 5 stars 😁

We were there on 18th July on a beautiful day. Spent time on the beach then came up for some food and we were lucky enough to be the last one’s in the queue. Ordered fish and chips for all four of us and it was delicious, the oil seemed pretty fresh and not greasy at all. I would highly recommend Lex’s Cafe and the ice cream is pretty awesome too.

Just back from first class lunch at the seaside ! On the sea front, best Views, fabulous staff, Top notch food and drinks. Massive cod and chips with salad also jacket potato with coronation chicken and salad...obviously ice cream later ! Covid procedures taken seriously, cleaning and spraying after each customer, all served in takeaway containers and plastic cutlery, see you again.

Tasty ice cream, but a 'Please' & 'Thank You' by any of the staff would have been nice, also would be good if they learnt to understand simple requests, like "can I have a receipt please"...
