The best restaurants in Wish Brighton and Hove South East

AVOID! Ordered on Deliveroo, never arrived, the restaurant claimed multiple times that it did but we never got our food. Now refusing a refund

Found this little amazing Sky High Fish & Chip Shop/Bar, in Hove, along main Portland Road, opp School Road by zebra crossing so was easy to park up ( After 8pm😉) had phoned order in, 10-15mins ready when got there, quick card swipe & then home, for FishChips&MushyPeas that were tasty😋tasty😋tasty😋. And they can Deliveroo2U2 (BONOus 😆) Best I’ve found for taste, quality & pricing in Hove/Brighton for 2025.

This place is unfortunately a shambles. The food is of good taste, how ever the portions for the price are absolutely ridiculous. Such a shame as we would love to support a local unique business but being such extremely poor value for money I just can't justify it. Coupled with the extreme lack in customer service. Poor wait times, struggle to even make an order in the first place. I can't see how this place will survive much longer. Having experienced dine in and take away from here the disappointment is equal between the two experiences. Eat in. Expect your rice to come out first? Followed 20 mins later by your main? Takeaway? Except to arrive on time and wait a further 20 mins before they acknowledge you and then another 15 before your kids sized portions are brought out to you with a very cheery, enjoy your meal. They must walk back into the kitchen and mutter 'you absolute mug' This business has a really good model but extremely poorly executed. What an absolute shame for Shoreham-by-Sea.

I used to enjoy eating here because the food is always hot.However, on every occasion I seemed to be overcharged.On my last visit I asked for a receipt and, my thoughts were confirmed that I was,and always have been,charged twice £1.50 for a table spoon of instant coffee. This is a deliberate act of theft.I challenged the them and was refunded £1.50 without an apology.Shame , because I will vote with my feet and never support this local business.Shame on you for exploiting your customers knowingly... either that, then retrain the woman who always takes the orders...and always ask for a receipt.

Stone cold and complete wrong order.

I added a note to my order stating no sauce in my daughters chicken wrap but it turned up dripping with sauce. The sauce looked like watered down mayonnaise and it smelt like sugar. Ordered jalapeño cream cheese but they sent mozzarella sticks instead. The chicken from the chicken and chips meal was wet with grease to the point my son couldn't even pick it up to eat as it was slipping out of his fingers. Won't be ordering from here again and I do not recommend at all.

Came in for a drink after a beach walk and had a lovely time!! We had a couple of drinks and shared some bar snacks and it was great. Lovely staff and great atmosphere, will be back!!

The kebab was lovely and delivery was on time good job will order again

*to reply to your reply: we didn’t misunderstand, I asked several times, she confirmed if we went to the pub first we would not be allowed inside* We asked to change our booking to a slightly later time and was told if we consumed alcohol beforehand we would not be allowed to enter due to the fact the staff were fasting in Ramadan . We thought there had been some misunderstand as we were aware of being unable to drink inside and so clarified with the lady, and she confirmed if we went to the pub for a drink first, we would then be unable to enter the establishment. I clarified again, I don’t personally drink alcohol but are you telling me I will be unable to enter if other members of this party had consumed? And she confirmed the staff were in full fast, and we would not be able to come back to eat if we visited a pub first. Totally bizarre situation, I asked if they breathalyse their customers and she confirmed not. The owner has replied to my family members review stating it is a lie, we would not make up such a random bizarre lie, and luckily we found a lovely restaurant nearby.

Absolutely terrible!!!! Waste of food and the owner is an absolute disgrace! He hasn't got a clue, rude, and tries to charge you every penny he can!!! He didn't want to separate the cod with the chips because he didn't want to use another sheet of paper to wrap it. Hadock was undercooked and soggy. Chips soggy too, and the owner is really stingy with the salt and vinegar! Large chips, small cod, and medium haddock nearly £20 quid, definitely not worth it, and you get charged for the 10p bag! Cash only too!!! Joke of a place, last time ever! Never again!!!! F that!!!!

Amazon pizza! Been going here for years, never disappoints! Lots of toppings and the staff recommend deals so it’s cheaper for you . Highly recommend, lovely staff!

I ordered two pizzas the chicken bacon club and the hot honey pepperoni. It was on time , food was hot and the driver was kind so no issues this time.
