Proper British fry up at a very reasonable price. No frills I'm happy to say, just tasty filling food that's always served fresh and hot. The fried potatoes are a cracking touch. If you're looking for a none pretentious meal this is the place. Staff friendly too. So much better than many of the overpriced cafes in town. Looking forward to my next visit.

Nice staff. Ample portions, well-priced. Highly recommended. I eat there probably once a fortnight and get a good welcome each time. You can even park your car there, usually.

A real Brit caf, clean and tidy. Had bacon, egg, tomatoes and chips for breakfast. Plenty of bacon and chips. £4.80 Large mug of strong tea. £1.20 If you are looking for no nonsense good English food, this is the place to eat. Service with a smile and a paper to read while you eat. Great value, really wish there were more places like this.

I love this place and visit weekly for breakfast when I work from home. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. Their toast is the best ever, crispy and buttery. Their lunches are delicious and the staff are friendly. It's everything a local great spoon should be - such places are not easy to come by these days. Closes at 2:30 most days and is not open on Sundays.

we had been for a walk from Brighton along the sea front and came across this cafe, to be honest it doesn't look wonderful but was clean and the lady behind the counter was cheerful and helpful, i had a bacon sandwich and was told there was no brown bread - they have white bread and its lovely i was told, the tea came very dark as i love it to be (I don't like weak tea) the bacon sandwich was AMAZING - the bread was as i had been told lovely the bacon plentiful and cooked to perfection. We were staying Bed and Breakfast in Brighton but decided the following day (or last) to forgo the breakfast and call in at the Feedwell Cafe - we were not disappointed.

It's all about the bread. Well that's what makes great toast. It might sound odd but this cafe does cracking white toast laden with butter. Proper thick slices toasted just right. Pop in and try poached, scrambled or fried on toast. If you are not satisfied I'll go and toast my own head...

Good portion sizes on breakfast. And bread especially lovely. Not bad price as well. However, place looks a bit old, tired and grubby. Could do with a deep clean and renovation.

Since the new owner took over I’ve become a regular - the sandwiches are so nice and with *so* much filling, they’re such good value compared to most places. The owner is really friendly and accommodating and I can usually park outside.

Just had to wait 40 minutes for breakfast and missed our train. I was told that the delay was because they were very busy, which clearly wasn’t true as the place wasn’t full. Our order had obviously got forgotten even though they were overstaffed. I counted 4 people serving about 15 customers. The staff were happily talking about their holidays and dating, and taking cigarette breaks, rather than checking the orders had been processed. The chef even came out for a coffee break and gossip - while we had been waiting 30 mins. In fairness they did apologise profusely and took some items off the bill. The breakfast was ok when it came but certainly not worth the wait.
