Frankie is a friendly guy who knows his products well. The food is excellent and reasonably priced I had the chilli prawns which were sumptuous. Get there before the season ends, you won’t taste better.

One person in our group had the Oysters, which they said were nice and fresh. They bought me the lobster tail, and I am not sure what it actually was, but it was disgusting. Rubbery, and so, so dry, utterly revolting. By the looks of the pictures, at £2.50, it's not going to be real lobster, so I am sure what I had was a lobster tail shaped crab stick... if that's the case, just call it what it is. If it was lobster, I've no idea how it tasted like that. Two others in the party tried it and thought the same thing, I threw it away. I'd give it more than 1 star for the oyster, but I didn't taste that, so I can only go by what I tried.

I remember coming here with my mum and grandparents growing up, not been here in a while but I have very fond memories of this place, beware of the seagulls tho 😅

Got a mixed pot of seafood, and the staff were helpful at explaining what the different things were. They were also helpful and patient when deciding what to get which is always appreciated. I would definitely recommend!

9 pounds for a lobster roll just to open it up on the beach to see there is literally no lobster in it. Mayonnaise pickles and a scarce serving of crab meat with a bit of lobster for effect. Felt very scammed and considering I’m seeing more comments like mine this is a regular occurrence

Clean, fresh, tasty and very very busy... priced well and service with a smile, big cue and every person was greeted with a smile.

Definitely overrated, those who praised the oysters in other reviews must not have tasted a truly good oyster.

I had a great experience!! Staff are so welcoming and friendly.. if you are a seafood lover, I would say this is the seafood heaven!!! Soo fresh and tasty, I just passed by but I'm so happy that i tried also!! Prices are amazing too!! Enjoy Brighton

Great for all types of seafood. The whelks were massive and tasty. We asked for them to be cut up as they were so big which they did for us. Marinated octopus was also good. Highly recommended.My Korean partner was prepared and brought her Gochujang sauce although there is chill vinegar, pepper etc available

For a short break for less than £10 with a view of the beach it’s perfect. The whelks are not cooked in broth but they are fresh. Everything is fresh and quality. For the price it does the job.

A little lunch break that I love. A small shack with rolls, lobsters, crabs etc... The lady who took care of our sandwiches was adorable and smiling. She told us to go sit down and she would bring us the rolls. The chairs and tables on the pebbles with a view of the sea, the lobster roll which is good and tasty, the choice between white bread or brown bread, I really liked everything. thanks <3

We usually go to a different hut for our oysters, but went here on this occasion. Oysters were good and a good size too, 6 for a tenner, not bad at all. We enjoyed it so much, decided to have 12 all together on our visit. Tobasco was available which is good and extra lemon was offered. Enjoyed it.

Frazer was brilliant from start to finish - we worked with him on an event on Brighton sea front. Everyone said they were the best oysters they’ve had. Perfectly clean, amazing toppings. Will definitely be working with them again!

The best oysters I’ve ever tried!

Very fresh oysters, delicious shrimp and octopus as snacks. Do not take rapanas, they are hard and poorly washed. Fast and pleasant service. very democratic prices)) The tables stand right on the pebbles of the beach, which at the same time is simple and with a beautiful view. The only thing is that there is no cover, probably not very pleasant when it rains or is hot.

For a few days we came from London to this beautiful seaside town of Brighton. My daughter took us along the paths of her role model Zoe, who lives in this place. We sat on the beach, had oysters at the beach oyster bar and enjoyed the sun. Oysters of all ages and at a moderate price.

There was more dressing than fish flesh - whatever was the fish inside - . Probably due to the above mentioned reasons, they did not ask me if I enjoyed it. Avoid that place and save money.

This quaint little shack is situated right by the beach and serves excellent fresh seafood items. We ordered lobster roll and garlic & chilli prawns both of which were amazing. Lobster roll especially so, delicious and fresh. The service was pretty quick. Will definitely be coming back next time.

Went for lobster rolls which turned out to be mayonnaise-filled buns with a hint of lobster. Not worth the line up.

Cheap, very fresh oysters, for £1.80 each. Tasted very fresh, very delicious - tiny amount of grit in one of them (probably tiny bit broke off top shell), but for this price, this is about as good as it gets.

In Brighton, you can either spend 40, 50 quid on a dozen of oyster for 15-20% better quality in some seafood restaurants or spend 20 quid for a dozen of oysters which are pretty good as well at The Brighton Shellfish & Oyster bar. I personally like to come here eat a dozen or 2 oysters then go to Riddle for half to a dozen more. Oysters: not just the oysters but their seafood are generally pretty value for money. As mentioned above, whenever I visit Brighton, I come here to eat atleast a dozen or 2 oysters with some other seafood. Oysters are 6 for £10, pretty fresh as usual, can be sweeter, creamier, bigger, but oh well, for the price, I ain't complaining. Seafood mix with lobster tail - love the seafood mix, a lot of different seafood in 1 bowl. Even the lobster tail is not real lobster but I really enjoyed it, not so much for my mate haha. Can wait to come back and eat 3 dozens next time. 🦪🤙🏻

What more do you need when walking along Brighton seafront than some nice seafood. It was a nice day and I stopped by here to get some cockles which came in a few sizes. I went for the small portion which I felt was quite steep at £3.50. I was absolutely aghast at the size (or lack of it) of the pot. There was barely anything in it! The photos tells all and I don’t have big hands 😄My advice to the business would be to not serve something so small as it was borderline offensive to have paid so much for so little. I’d rather have paid a little more for a better portion, but never in my wildest dreams did I think it would be as small as it was. I get times are hard, but they are hard for the customer too and one bad experience means that customer is gone forever. The cockles were bang average and I didn’t even get a thank you for my troubles when buying them. Last time I checked the customer is doing the business a favour both the other way round. Safe to say I won’t return.

Must grab seafood snacks. Served in different sized bowls this place offers seafood bites from shrimps, lobster, oyster crayfish, whelk, anchovies. They also have seafood rolls The taste was so freshh and yummy. If you go to brighton you must grab one of these. Prices are reasonable ranging from 3 to 6£ The place offers seating facing the beach and take away.

This little beachfront kiosk, has a lot to offer in the way of fresh local seafood. Additionally, a little kiosk also sells other seafood, but this has been imported, and some of it are no so real seafood, just looking like that. The food is very picturesque and they have great seating by the water. I wish they more catch of the day style stuffs

Our first stop in Brighton and it definitely didn’t disappoint! We got some oysters and pickled seafood (which wasn’t my favorite) but the oysters 🦪 were fresh and got shucked super quickly. Be aware of seagulls: the lady next to us got up to grab some vinegar and seagulls stole all her food 😅

The oysters are fresh which is very surprising giving the price, I tried many in brighton during my stay and this one is on my top list. The seafood mix bowl is really nice snack too.

Very expensive for the amount but so simple yet amazingly tasty. Lobster roll is the best thing we had!

Best oysters wonderful service by fantastic staff the owners Fraser and Wendy are lovely and always take time to have a chat with us we have been coming here for 7 years and would never go anywhere else when in Brighton. Love you guys

In front of a stones beach, when you eat a Cup of tasty fresh seafood you hear the breeze of the Deep Blue Sea in front of you.

Very friendly staff, seafood was decent and it was a comfortable experience. Simple and straight to the point, worked for me! The crab was very good - I love that they kept the claws in, the muscles and prawns were also very good. I did try the lobster tail but it wasn't for me, that's just personal preferences though. Otherwise, I'd say it's worth a visit!

Simple yet authentic place to eat delicious oysters in the beach. Literally you eat them in wooden tables in the sand. Great price and fine Jersey Oysters.

Very fresh and good deal, just near the sea so you can have them while enjoying the view. One box of mixed seafood is proper for two ppl. Anchovies&olives are so good, we even packed two boxes before back to London. Enjoyable!

This little beachfront heart, has a lot to offer in the way of fresh local seafood. Additionally, a little kiosk also sells other seafood, but this has been imported, and some of it is surimi – so not real seafood, just looking like that. Just across the pedestrian walkway, is the main shop, where you can get fresh fish that was caught that day on their own boat. Next to the local clams, crayfish and whelk, this is likely the real pearl of the oyster.

Today I travelled from East London to Brighton on a day trip as I needed some delicious seafood. Emilia served me, and kindly made me a delicious lobster-roll. Then I tried the lobster-tail and the organic-oysters; all food items were so delicious! Thank you. I shall hope to return very soon!

My wife had a crab roll and loved it! Unfortunately, my lobster was pretty poor. I should have realised that doing lobster well would be too much to ask for a bar like this. Don't go expecting the world from a really difficult, fancy dish. I suggest getting something slightly more basic as they do that well.

I do not know how many times I have had food from this place but never been bored with it.Always fresh, always tempting! a better weather is needed though to enjoy the view as well while eating it. highly recommended!

Locals tend not to stop here and it’s more of a tourist draw. That said, in the summer months especially, everyone should stop and grab a little snack here. The pots of shrimp, mussels and cockles are delicious!

It's a nice little seafood stall right on the beach front. Lots of different seafood and the prices were pretty good, although eating cold food on a really cold new years day made you even colder.

I pop by here all the time for the dressed crab, cockles and octopus bowls and oysters. Very cheap pricing for such fresh and fantastic seafood, just mind the seagulls when you walk away!
