Wow just wow. Adam and his gorgeous team went above and beyond to look after me and pals. We had a delicious Sunday roasts and then stayed for piano bingo. It was a complete joy from start to finish. Can't wait to come back x

Stay at the Mercure nearby fairly regularly but visited here first time last Saturday. Great service, friendly atmosphere and brilliant act (Portia) who got the pub to sing me Happy Birthday. Good laugh and we really enjoyed it. Will be back - Cliff & Lauraine.

Love this place, friendly staff with a great atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the service leaves a lot to be desired, I arrived at 15:40 and was told that I could only order food at 16:00. Then at 4:00 p.m. I was told that orders for food are made from 5:00 p.m., given that at 3:50 p.m. two customers received food. DISAPPOINTING!!!!!

The absolute essence of a community pub! Fantastic back street boozer run by the brilliant Adam and his team - super-friendly, incredibly inclusive, I wish more LGBTQ venues were like this! Beware of musical bingo on a Sunday though, before you know it it's nearly midnight and you're dancing around the pub!

I called in here with a friend to try their sunday roast. They were a bit late setting up and had no menus immediately available. Beet was excellent. The cook came out to take out order. we went for the lamb. It was presented rather unuasually in Tamakin form. After my initial surprise, I rucked in and was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and plentiful. Will definately return

Went for a seafood dinner. A bit disappointed the all you can eat was No longer available but menu did not disappoint. The trio pick was quite satisfying. Food was delicious with nice sized portions. Best I've had outside the bay area.

A friendly pub on a side street off the main drag. Has an old school boozer feel to it and has a nice vibe and crowd. The drinks were a tad on the pricy side for a backstreet pub though. I hear Ruffles is a great laugh too when she’s performing.

What a unique experience especially on a sunday. Its full of likeminded fun people who know how to have a great time. The staff are brilliant, led by Adam…a great host. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

Best place in Brighton/Hove. Its not only a Tavern - its community, friends and always so much fun. Karaoke on fridays, drag on Saturdays, drag bingo on sundays... That's everything I need for a great weekend.

We go for the Sunday lunch often and it was delicious as usual!! Such friendly staff and the food is cooked by the amazing drag act'Ruffles' that does the Sundays musical bingo also not to be missed later in the evening. 10/10

The best "back street boozer" in Brighton. A fantastic, eclectic crowd and a sense that by walking through the door you've become a local. High quality and reasonably priced roast on Sundays. Lunch is followed by drag bingo from 6, which presents a real threat of making Monday mornings unintentionally difficult.

Landlord Adam met us with the biggest smile ever ! Wow , what a night ! Sophie Causebrook was amazing ! The atmosphere in the pub was electric ! The Barmaid with the beard was a delight, loved her ❤️ All in all we will be back , Bonkers Bingo sound like challenge that we may need to steel ourselves for ..... much love to the whole team, bloody amazing !

Such an amazing place. The staff are so lovely, funny and welcoming. Entertainment is incredible. Adam the host is full of personality and very funny. Can’t wait to go back! Love it here, can’t recommend enough!!

I popped in for a quick pint… 4-hours later I left after having an amazing night! Staff are brilliant and the atmosphere is fantastic along with a good karaoke DJ. Look forward to visiting again and would definitely recommend

You can’t beat The Bedford for a good local and friendly bar. Great for drinks, and the Sunday lunch is phenomenal!

Community pub, friendly staff and great cabaret. Roasts on Sundays just like Granny used to make with the added glass of vino for £1 a bonus. Manager Adam is a local super hero raising cash for local charities. Great Gin selection, draft beers and local bitter. Love my little LGBTQA+ pub.

We walked past the fab Bedford Tavern on our way to a lunch in a different pub for a drink. Adam & his staff are so welcoming & told us about Bonkers Bingo taking place later. The Sunday roast looked delicious so I wished we had booked to eat there too. I couldn't wait to scoff our lunch & get back - we were not disappointed & had the most amazing evening singing, laughing & dancing. Can't wait to book another trip to Brighton & go back to the Bedford Tavern for another fantastic night

Just arrived in Brighton and went into the pub for a quick drink. Bonkers bingo in progress and a fantastic, fun atmosphere. Landlord Adam and all the regulars made us very welcome. Really friendly. Great evening, warmly recommend the Bedford.

Fell upon this gem. Had a fabulous evening spent with the most welcoming landlord , staff and locals. Jenny had the most amazing voice and vocal range. Made our weekend!

Went for lunch for my friend’s 50th and couldn’t have been to feel more welcome. They had trimmed up for him which was a really nice touch. The Sunday lunch was fab and to say we had the best time is an understatement! The locals chatted to us and the host Adam was amazing. We got there at 3pm and left around 10.30pm (after running up a huge bar bill) because we were having such a great time. Piano Bingo was new to me and the best fun! I visit Brighton every year and can not wait to go back.

We called in for a quick drink because we were passing about 8.30pm and had a fantastic night! Really friendly staff found us a table for 10, we watched a great drag queen act and stayed chatting and socialising until 1am… fab night!

After a long cycle from London to Brighton, we were looking for a place to have a quiet drink before getting food and crashing out early on a Sunday evening. Walking into the first pub we saw, we were greeted by the rilliant staff before even realising we walked into a piano bingo night! The bar staff were friendly and welcoming and the pub has loads of atmosphere. There was a great mix of regulars and newcomers and we ended up staying much later than we should have! A great place, with good beer and an even better atmosphere!

What can I say had booked for the Saturday night and we popped in for a drink in the afternoon, what a welcome from the absolutely gorgeous adam ended up staying in there for most of our stay. Saturday night cabaret kara van park was fantastic one of the best I have seen.sunday lunch was lovely as was mark the chef and all the staff who worked whilst we were there the piano bingo was so good we all laughed from start to finish have never experienced anything like it before, brilliant. The six of us cannot wait to return.

The Bedford Tavern is the friendliest pub in Brighton - welcoming, friendly and fun. The Sunday roasts are the best value in the city - a great feed and a glass of wine for little over a tenner. Highly recommended.

This place is utterly fabulous! Here on a holiday and it made my trip. The little camp lad who runs it is lovely and kinda funny, and I suspect up for anything. Loved my trip here.

A great, friendly place with an eclectic bunch of regulars. Always made to feel welcome when visiting here, and treated as a regular from the off. We were lucky enough to get a table here for Sunday Lunch and it over delivered in so many ways. My boyfriend is currently on a low FODMAP diet and so can't eat foods such as onion and garlic. Usually this makes it near impossible to dine out but the chef at The Bedford Tavern was incredibly accommodating and made a whole new batch of potatoes and gravy especially. The food was also delicious. Often when you have a roast away from home it doesn't taste quite as good. The potatoes might not be quite how you like them or the Yorkshire pudding might be a bit dry but not here! Was like a home away from home. The chef also sings! Really well, I should add. I've never been treated to a live Grease medley whilst eating a roast but I can't recommend the experience enough :)
