Our 4th visit, lovely wonderful staff. Real value for money. Why pay £26 for 8 oz sirloin steak in Freefolk, when you can have 16oz rump steak for the same price at The George St. Mary Bourne. Lovely atmosphere, great value for money.

Came for a Sunday roast at 4.30pm, was told they didn't no about our booking. Food came out fairly quickly, all I can say is it was the worst roast dinner I've eaten in my life( I've had alot ) veg was almost raw, stuffing was a hard lump of burnt, turkey was soft but Luke warm, gravy was so thick you could stand a spoon in it. The amount of gravy was probably 3 tablespoons. Friendly staff but sadly food was shocking. Atmosphere was loud but it was football, shame about the swearing when there are children.

Visited here a few times for drinks and the atmosphere has always been good. Great selection of spirits available, including lots of gins/rums. There is occasionally live music on a Friday or Saturday night, or they tend to show the sport of a major tournament is on - most recently the rugby! (we won't talk about that game...) Prices are what you'd expect from most pubs, so not overly expensive/cheap. There is an additional area upstairs that you can request to book of you're having a work event or just a large group of you turning up. Have never had a problem here. If the drinks prices mean you can't spend your whole evening here, there's always the Wetherspoons next door to get a few cheap rounds in.

Most likely the worst pub in Hampshire impolite bar service seems likes it changed hands yet again and your forced to listen to loud thug music on the constant and if you choose your own it’s instantly turned down.Ladies toilets always smell of damp and the atmosphere feels like a pub brawl will occur.

We have visited a few times now with our family and each time the food has not been good. This time I had lasagna which very tomatoey and hardly had any meat, disguised with lots of melted cheese. My husband had the lamb shank. The meat was dry and the gravy was incredibly salty which ruined the rest of the dish. My mum had the Chicken Napolitano which came out very chewy and was taken home for the dog for later. Unfortunately the toilets are also very smelly as soon as you walk into the toilet corridor. However, the service was great and the lady who served us was very welcoming and prompt. I can't say we will be returning as the food hasn't been good with each visit we have made.
