My husband I called in to Nandos Basingstoke after a busy day in London. The service was excellent. Very friendly and polite. The food was lovely and hot and very tasty. The BEST Corn on the Cob EVER! Will definietly call in again.

Food was everything you’d expect from a typical Nando’s, however everyone we dined with found the food to be slightly sub bar. I feel like the food may have been sat a little too long once it had been prepared, which meant it was only just slightly warm. The drink station and cutlery station were slightly dirty and the knifes on the occasion we went were not there, we had to ask for those. Also the drink station had no fizz, which meant we had to obtain a refund for the drinks as we could only have water. Overall slightly disappointing!

We were greeted swiftly and shown to our table. The restaurant looked very clean and inviting. I ordered at the bar, gentlemen taking my order was very nice and helpful. Our food arrived in good time, and was nice and hot. I had asked for both chicken dishes to have the skin removed, and they got it right. Love their chips, definitely the best for a chain or fast food place. We received a check back in perfect time. Can’t fault this place. Great caring staff with good customer service skills and lovely hot tasty food. We have decided to come back to this town and will eat here again. I have read some of the moaning reviews, sounds like they’re talking about a different restaurant, very peculiar.

Starter, halloumi sticks, was cold to start with and when I sent it back to get a new one, the waiter went into the kitchen and tipped my halloumi with bite marks out of it back onto the grill! Obviously I turned it back again as the bite marks gave away what had happened. Fresh one comes out and yet again cold. Couldn’t be bothered at that point! After talking to the manager about the situation it was resolved by a full refund of the entire meal. Even so the service was unacceptable and very unhygienic! I’m not going back.

Visited this Nando's quite a few times, mostly on Saturday afternoons but have also come during the week. Every time we've been here, the food has been cold. Service is usually pretty good and drinks and food arrive quickly most of the time.

The food was tasty BUT… 1. the portions are way too small for the high prices. A burger, not bigger than the palm of my hand, costs around £10. I ate that thing with literally 5-7 bites and I’m not even that big of a person. 2. they won’t come to your table to take your order but you have to figure out to scan the tables QR-Code, then order in an App or on the website and of course you need a members account with an email address and online banking. Our experience went as followed: 1. sit down and wait to be served 2. after about 15min, we found out the app thing and tried to order on the website 3. after successfully putting in our order on the website, we found out that, against our expectations, you have to pay on the website and not only order. 4. we went to the counter to order in person. 5. we were a bit disappointed by the sizes of the meals. The burger I had also seemed way smaller than the picture on the website.

Not at all pleased. We have a table of 6 and all ordered at the same time waited over an hr for the first two plates of which was stone cold then another hour for the rest of the food. Stickers stuck inside my burger I had actually chewed up and spat out. Pink chicken and sick all over men’s toilets. Staff didn’t even try to make conversation and were actually no where to be seen. Hot plate full of food waiting to be brought out to tables but left there. The manager was respectful and allowed us a few extra bits of cheese but new staff or better training were advised.

Nando's is alway a go to when wanting food with lots of flavour. If you don't mind sharing, the platters are definitively are good options: Full platter ideal for 2 people and Family Platter can feed 5 people easily. The new Caesar Salad is so good and the Warm Chocolate Pud is delicious. If waiting a bit for a table is not your thing then visiting Nando's during the week or early afternoon woul be ideal.

Maybe they will start to charge less the chips for online delivery, the portion is half what you get at restaurant but the same price..., 4.30£ for such a small portion and large 7.50£ wich will be a regular one with if i have luck. Last time i think when order chips online i get more from a regular from Mc Donald wich they are 1.99... From now one i need to order chip separate from mc and chicken from nandos🤦‍♂️ rip off A 200g jar much bigger then their little box for portion for kids

My first time coming to Festival place nandos , it will be my last time for sure with a manager anything like Matt. I was in a queue & asked a nice young lady for a table of 2 , she said 20-30mins which weren’t the problem. The Problem started when i was waiting & noticed for quite sometime SEVERAL tables dirty, not being cleaned which was of course delaying people (like myself) that were waiting for a seat to order food. The manager ( Matt) then comes along & i asked him , why we are waiting, when there are tables waiting to be cleaned & that he is wasting not only their time but people that were waiting.. he then became VERY defensive, deflecting everything i was saying (which made me believe he thought i was right but just didn’t want to admit he was wrong) then , he had the cheek to tell me , that he is wasting his time having a conversation with me & walked off to the front desk doing nothing, not cleaning the tables , absolutely nothing , when several minutes later a poor young girl , had to clean all the tables herself , whilst again i watched Matt do nothing. Matt , 1) should not be in a role working with the public & 2) should be sacked- if it was my company we would be (but thats just me) Thank you to the people today that actually did do their job & made me comfortable.. unlike someone (matt) who when i was eating my food , went to every other table , ask them how their food was , but didn’t come to mine.

I would avoid this Nando’s, Reading and Camberley are far better. The food is fine but the staff are rude and don’t care about the customer. Both Jimmy and Joe put staff shift change over the customer! Terrible service! I was told they run out of chicken and had staff shortages when in fact they did have chicken and 8 staff, email has been sent to the head office. Avoid! Much better places to go for good service and food in Basingstoke

My reasons for the 1 star review is the manager on the night of 26th Feb 2024, I believe his name was Harley - he was consistently rude and abusive to several customers, on multiple occasion raising his voice and swearing directly at them, i also saw him squaring up to his staff; his behaviour was extremely unprofessional and completely ruined the atmosphere of the restaurant. On a more positive note all the other staff were extremely friendly and respectful and the food was perfect. Never leave bad reviews but in this instance to see this guy physically and verbally abuse customers and more so his staff was completely unacceptable.

I met my friend here for dinner, asked for a table of two, we were shown to a table. The tables are so close together. Went up to order, even though there was a queue, only one person serving, even though the staff could see the queue went back to the door, no one else came to help. It was a busy Friday evening. We got our food fairly quickly, the chicken was ok, the chips were cold and the garlic bread like cardboard. Wasn’t very impressed. Won’t be in a rush to return

The worst wing roulette I have ever had from nandos, and this is coming from a nandos fanatic. Wings were undercooked and only cooked with one flavour. Its called a roulette for a reason for crying out loud. However, its no surprise considering all the staff were in a rush to go on their smoke break at the same time. 4-5 staff members were outside the bus station have a smoke break leaving on 2 staff members to run the kitchen and the shop floor. first and last time in this particular nandos.

Seated by a very unhappy Dominika, Food was basic and left under the heaters for far too long! Lucky if you get the right order. There is evidently toxic staff problems within this restauraunt, The staff toxicity shows to the customers and needs resolving. The only one member of staff who smiled during our whole visit was scowled at by the manager. If there are staff concerns behind the scenes this should be dealt with accordingly and hidden from customers. Theres no warm welcoming feeling from this restaruant. Sadly the reviews posted previously match this and Nandos have an automated response. Will not return and would not reccomend this place at all unless you want the experience of the "Karen" Restaraunts advertised. Needs an overhaul.

Have been before and each time have a good experience. We went mid week after work and was able to get a table straight away. Staff were lovely and helpful, food came fairly quickly and decent portion size overall. We had the platter which was nice however we usually order 1 large peri fries and 1 large grains salad and each time the grains salad is tiny vs the amount of chips- not sure what the difference is between a small and large but it's a bit disappointing that I have this at any Nandos I have ordered this at. The chicken was cooked so good it was nice and juicy. Despite that, great tasting food and not bad value for a treat.

I come here regularly and it's Nando's, you know what the food is like, so I'll focus on the place itself and service. Once you've ordered, the service is quick and everyone is polite enough, but getting served is tough if it gets even the slightest bit busy. There's only ever been one till open on the times I've visited, and it's a slow process to order so queues develop quickly. If the online ordering is down, you've no hope. The worst bit for me was watching the cooks on the boards; a young guy who was stuffing pitta was repeatedly using his hands to push ingredients in and then wiping them on his trousers before going back to touching the food. At one point, he licked his fingers then went back to the food without washing them. Every member of staff passed by the cooking area and said nothing, so I have no faith in hygiene policy being routinely upheld. Sometimes, ignorance really is bliss!

This Nandos Branch does not meet the usual standards met by Nandos. Super slow service with the food lukewarm upon serving. Me and my partner waited 45 minutes for our orders and the food was served luke warm, making it clear it had been ready for some time and sat waiting. Completely understand that the staff are busy - it's not the waitresses or chefs fault but rather bad management for opening more tables than the staffing level could cope with. Management need to increase staffing level or close tables. I would not attend this branch again due to this.

My boyfriend took me out for lunch, and our food was amazing, very fair price and generous portion sizing. But the thing that made our visit stand out was the exceptional service from a front of house staff member called Harley, he was polite, attentive and quick, everything you’d want from a waiter. Would highly recommend a visit, I’ve never had this experience at another Nando’s branch, was a pleasant surprise. I’d like to add that if you’re stuck on what to eat, the sunset burger, and garlic bread were our personal favourites. Will revisit soon, and hope to see Harley again, keep it up!

Orderd delivery directly from Nando's website. Food was meant to be delivered via Deliveroo. It never reached its final destination. When I called Nando's to find out what's happening I was told it is not their fault and that sometimes the Deliveroo drivers take the food for themselves! And I have to take it up with Deliveroo. No apology, no admitting them being at fault, just a shift 'supervisor' telling me in broken English 'OK but this is not our fault' over and over again, without offering any solutions. When I started getting upset the shift 'supervisor' told me 'I put phone to proper manager ok'. The 'proper manager' repeated the same thiiiiiing over and over again and advised she will send me a Nando's voucher to my email... well I'm still waiting for the email. RIDICULOUS!!!!

Awful experience. If I could give zero stars I would. Seated nearly an hour. Food ordered and after 45 minutes and after chasing our food, we’re told it would be 5 minutes, the manager (Joe) then told us another 40 minutes for food!!! Then he said he would refund us and won’t be spoken to like that. I was polite but to the point. Just could’nt understand why the long wait and inaccurate timescales given to us by staff. Refund given and he walked off while I was speaking to him. Nando’s you should be ashamed of this quality of service and the rudeness of your staff, and a manager to boot. Won’t be returning.

Don't waste your money...Customer service is not a thing here!!! Ive visited twice in 3 weeks as I'm in the area for work, the first visit part of my order didn't arrive. When I asked where it was, I got a poor attempt at an apology and still didn't get the product. Thinking it may be a one off I tried again tonight. We ordered starters, they arrived after were half way through our mains as they forgot about them. The Mains took 40 mins to arrive as they forgot the table number so the chips were warm at best, again a half baked apology was given. This type of service is a direct result of having to go up to a till to order or use an app order!! If they can't get it right go back to the good old fashioned table service.

Must try an Indian restaurant. After a very long time, I had quite tasty and spicy food here. It's one of the few Indian restaurants which kept the authenticity and taste of Indian food. If you miss that Indian spicy taste then you should visit this place. Also, you will get multiple varieties of sauces along with bottomless soft drinks.

Unfortunately an awful meal. Chicken breast had bone in it. Spicy Rice was precooked as had hard overcooked bits in and only 3 tiny red squares of pepper & Chips were cold. Not going back here again but used to be my favourite. Such a shame as was so looking forward to it. I don't remember when was the last time that me and my family ate in this restaurant. Every time we visit this shop in Festival Place we deal with a rude staff in front door explaining that the best option for us is to walk away. Always we deal with excuses like "we don't have electricity", "our orders are taking up to an hour to process" or "waiting time for find table will be at least one hour and then you need consider the time your order need to proceed". It is very annoying as in every other Nando's restaurant we have been in this country we never dealt with such issues and this kind of attitude from the front door "welcome" staff. I don't know if we are the only people had this concerns about the specific shop but I hope that Nando's management team will take into consideration our concerns and try to improve these issues.

Had one of the worst eating experiences here. Took my daughter out for her 7th birthday early to avoid the busy Friday evening time. Even with a relatively empty restaurant, the food took ages to come at which point my hungry young children were getting continously restless. Upon getting the food eventually, the chicken was tough after being left under the heat lamp for ages, the mash was like eating playdough and there were hardly any chips with the meals. The excuse of 'we're trying to run multiple services' was the only one we were given. Not entirely sure how that was our problem. We left very unsatisfied, especially with it being our daughters birthday as well. Must do better at coping under pressure guys.

This place is very nice and welcoming but being honest quite expensive. I had a problem when I was ordering because I am not a big fan of spicy food so I ordered mild spice but when I got my food or was so spicy because they messed up my order! How could they mess up so badly. It's also very loud and noisy so if your looking for a peaceful place to eat this is not the place to come. If you also don't like spicy food wouldn't recommend coming here. If you love spice definitely come here as there are many options for you and a variety of spice levels.

It is more like average in size, even for me, who cannot eat too much. The bun was a bit dry, prefer the gourmet bun, but the taste of the food was really good. I also had chips with peri peri season and it was great as well. Overall, the place is good one. The food is good. Will I go there again? Maybe. Would I recommend this place? Yes, you need try it.

Unfortunately in the last year or two it seems like this Nando's is slowly going downhill. Only one person was serving on the tills, which meant it took ages to actually put my order in. When my sweet potato wedges starter arrived, the sweet potatoes were undercooked, and one of them was still raw! Given that they are fried on a timer, I do wonder how this happened. I ordered a sunset burger with the limited time vusa spice, and while the burger was fine, there was barely any vusa sauce on it, which meant it wasn't really that spicy as it was being overwhelmed by everything else. I got some pots of mayo to have with my peri salted chips, and I'm not sure if it was due to a recipe change or if they had been sitting around for too long, but the mayo tasted absolutely nothing like it used to! Had barely any flavor and just added a creamy texture to the chips instead. To top it all off, the drinks were coming out of the machine flat. I've noticed that a lot of the old staff are no longer working here, so I wonder if it's simply a case of the standards just aren't being held as high anymore. Either way it's quite a shame to see and I think in future I'll be visiting the Brighton Hill one as the food seems to come out much better.

The food quality can vary but is normally delicious. The team is fantastic. In particular I have had quite a lot of interactions with Ben and he has always been really friendly, helpful and goes above and beyond. When I was getting a takeaway I asked for a packet of medium sauce but the restaurant had run out of them, instead of saying "unfortunately we've run out" which would have been completely understandable, Ben poured some medium sauce into a takeaway tub for me so I still had some medium sauce with my takeaway. He's gone above and beyond like that several times and any time an issue has arisen he handled it really well. The rest of the team are all also lovely, the last time I was in I mainly interacted with Lizzy and she was really helpful, proactive, and friendly.

Really bad service…Even after 45 minutes we haven’t received our order and we checked the Counter they have even pick the order. It’s absolutely ridiculous service and when we checked, they just sorry not even bothered explain why this happened…we have to wait another 10 minutes to get the order it took a total 1 hours for the oder ..not recomended at alll

It is the first time we came here and it was quite busy . We have ordered our food but the guy took it wrong and we didn’t get one of our plate which was really bad because we were extremely starving. The manager whose name was Jose understood that something was wrong and asked what had happened. He said that he would do his best and he brought our plate in “5 minutes” which was really fast even though it was extremely crowded . Thank you for your understanding and many many thanks for Jose from here !

Maria is easily the best server I’ve had. She consistently went above and beyond for our table today. We had three kids with us, she made sure they all got attention and even gave us a free dessert for them after finishing their word search. Nothing was too much of a task for her. I wish everyone in the industry was like her. Thank you Maria.

Not impressed with takeaway. They forgot part of the order and although we got a refund it means someone went without as we too far away to go back. The pitta bread had 2 tiny pieces of Halloumi, a miniscule mushroom and 1 strip of lettuce in it. The quality of the food was awful. Really disappointed as this was a special treat.

Disappointing . Ate here with my partner for her birthday tonight. Had a sharing plate. For the price the portion size was disappointing. The quality was mixed. Her portion of chicken was cooked well, the other was dry and tough. If i was eating alone i would have sent it back, i didnt because it was her birthday and she didnt want a fuss. Nandos didnt live up to its reputation. Sadly i wont be going back!

We came here for a spontaneous meal after our bus home was mysteriously cancelled. We had forty minutes to wait for the next bus and decided to eat out to avoid a late night. I haven't been to a Nando's since 2015 (or maybe 2016), and felt quite out of my depth. We were served by Maria, who showed us through the menu's vegan options and told us there was a ten minute wait for food (fifteen minutes if we wanted the "Great Imitator" wrap). This was at 17:10, and our food was served at 17:19. Couldn't have wished for better service. I do think that the spice rating system is a little bit exaggerated, but that's understandable. Next time I'll be sure to order hot, rather than medium. We had a really enjoyable meal, which tasted great, and it was very reasonably priced too!
