Same as any other Costa Coffee so don't expect any difference

This is the hospital branch. It is always busy and the staff cope reasonably well. A few smiles would be nice. Why dont they have any panatone?

Nice atmosphere nice staff service a little slow

We really enjoyed our drinks with slices of cake of choice. The environment was conducive all tables were cleared. The staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend everyone who enjoys company and eating out. There is a disabled toilet inside the cafe. The cafe is kept spotless clean.

Staff was very helpful and smart and polite and help me to my table as I only got one leg in action at moment they were well brilliant

Called in for a quick coffee. Guy serving obviously wanted to be somewhere other than taking people's orders.

Warm milkshakes were very yummy.

Slow service long queue, disapointed prices are kept artificially high for patents & those visiting sick & injured relatives

Staff are rude, slow, food often comes out burnt. Orders are often wrong or jeed changing.

Ham n cheese toasties spot on it was a quick turn round 1 minute a que next I was at from I sat had my toasties and forgot my drink when I went back someone handed it in

Latte was ok - Bakewell Tart was not fresh. Convenient for a quick snack.

I have NO idea why it is popular. The product is mediocre and the service appalling.

Extremely rude staff... holding back on giving servette... for reasons beyond me.

Stop boiling the milk!!!! Because the girls behind the bar don't have the right training every milk coffee is ruined by milk that is too hot! Costa is too commercial??? Steaming the milk too hot not only makes it bitter and no longer sweet and creamy it ruins an expensive cup of coffee.

Not much good! It’s a small store for such a big hospital. Staff are over busy so there are long queues. When I finally got to the till I only then discovered they couldn’t take card payments.

This Costa is soooo busy - BUT - the staff are sooooo friendly and kind. Honestly I visited yesterday and couldn’t be more impressed. Once I was served the service was very speedy. There’s just a huge volume of people using this outlet. I’m Not sure how they cope to be honest but 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Def recommended.

Of all the Costa's I've visited, this one has THE most friendly and helpful staff. Great vegan options now also.

I rotate in Basingstoke often and the service is always really good! All the coffee is good but whenever this guy with brown hair is making the drinks in the morning I KNOW I’m getting a good coffee. 9/10 mocha tastes burned sometimes but we move regardless. It’s a risk I’m willing to take.

Amazing service as usual! Food cooked quick and drink hot. When I lifted the tray and spilt it (due to a fasting blood test and feeling light headed) they cleaned up, tried to give me fresh food and new drink and carried the tray for me. The young lady doing drinks also carried drinks for another lady who had a walker and asked if she can do anything else to help. Amazing personal touch despite being busy.

This Costa is in a hospital. It’s grubby. The tables don’t get cleared. There are spillages all over the place that don’t appear to get cleaned up. The staff are busy to be fair but that’s no excuse. The tables are very close together and in Covid times this makes for an uncomfortable experience. My hot chocolate was made with water and not milk and my toastie didn’t even turn up. Full refund for both. This is not a great example of an eatery that primarily caters to hospital staff, hospital visitors and patients. Yuk!

Still sat here whilst typing this……. Absolutely shocking disgusting service and I strongly suggest that some form of management gets in contact with me before I take this further. You have the rudest 3 people running this place, 2 males and 1 female and I will not accept being treated in this way.

First time visiting again in a while, staff friendly and efficient, tables being cleaned when needed and que kept down well. Nice to see 🙂

I'm a bit disappointed. I had to ask for sprinkles to be added to my hot chocolate. "do you want sprinkles then?" Well yes, that's why I brought it up, I then sent back my lukewarm drink with lumps in it back, and had to ask again for a second time for sprinkles. At £6.50 with a piece of shortbread it's definitely not cheap, so why the poor service? (I was polite at all times, and wearing a mask)

Although service can be slow, Normally don’t have any problems. However went for a coffee with my Brother after a horrid appointment. Ordered my usual, a Cappuccino. I took the lid off to add sugar and saw there was only 3/4 of a cup. I am a wheelchair user, so my Brother took it up to the staff and asked if they would mind topping it up. From the other end of the café and in front of a queue of people I could hear the Barista shout a my Brother “That’s what Cappuccino’s are like!!!” My Brother suffers with severe PTSD and Anxiety, feeling completely humiliated, he just walked away back to me at the table. I am absolutely disgusted

Staff are lovely. More options to eat than winchester hospital. Air con is incredible. Coffee left a gone off after taste and the cup it was served in was a bit dirty and stained. But I would come again as they were busy and handling it well. May just get a different drink.

The strawberries and cream frappe absolutely slaps. Staff are amazing too, only problems arise when customers want to be a problem. 🙄 Which the staff deal with proportionally. They explain as to why they can't do a certain drink and offer alternatives if possible, really great customer service. While this might seem biased, all the other caffeine sources in the Hospital aren't great.

Not so nice as it used to be... Turned down offer for free costa today because last two times i got was a total waste of money.

We had been up the hospital all morning and a coffee was what we both wanted so we popped in here and the lady who made our coffees was happy, helpful and very polite she gave a great service !! It may only be coffee but it does make a difference. 10/10 For her alone,

The Costa coffee shop in the North Hampshire Hospital are really helpful and friendly. I go here quite regularly and I have never have had any bad experiences. Keep it up guys.

I like the caramel late and the caramel short bread cake

Totally unable to provide a cup of drinkable tea. I was given a cup with a lid on, paid and sat down. Took the lid off and the full to the brim cup spilled boiling liquid all over the table. The string if the tea bag was floating on the top and milk had been added which immediately stops the brewing process. I took a sip and it was completely revolting, cup full of hot watery milk, they should be sued under the trades description act by calling this tea. I returned it to the counter for it to be poured away.

Only bothered to toast my sandwich on one side. Soggy and not nice. Not cheap either.

It's a Costa, in a hospital. Not a lot else you can say really.

Just popped in to grab a coffee on my morning break, Mitchell was so friendly and helpful. He was working by himself but was doing a fantastic job to manage the situation. Setting a great example.

Empty but service area needed a wipe! My table hadn't been cleaned. Lipstick on cup though replaced with apology.

We would like to thank the lovely young lady, who works at the Basingstoke hospital branch, who gave me £1.30 so I could get my unwell husband a can of coke, as I didn’t have any change on me and the machine was not taking cards What a lovely thing to do, a random act of kindness which will not be forgotten Thank you so very much, my husband was extremely grateful, and would also like to say thank you We visited on Wednesday 11th it was about 6.15 in the evening.

Very limited in side .food is highly dearer than the high street.

Ordered hot chocolate but got hot milk with a splash of chocolate powder. Kindly asked the barista to put more chocolate powder in but she only lightly sprinkled chocolate dust instead.

This cafe is a very much needed retreat situated in Basingstoke hospital. The coffee and Batista's provide a good atmosphere to unwind in the hospital setting.

It's OK caffee. Mostly with customers visiting friends and relatives are found here satisfying themselves with a hint of caffeine, cold drinks and other foods. It is usually busy and just like any other Costa it is charges you premium price for its products. Everything is similar to any other Costa branch. Here, WiFi is free for 30 minutes. The seating arrangement is good. If you are looking for coffee probably it is only option but if you are looking for something to eat just find the restaurant inside. Loads of variety and reasonable too.

Lovely drinks and food unfortunately speed of service slows it down but a very nice break from my bed 😀

This was the one at basingstoke hospital!! The shift manager was extremely rude and stroppy, he had a go at staff members very loudly in front of them making the young girl very uncomfortable, not talking to customers with respect, very bad service this time round!! Staff here really need to remember where they are!! Customers will be sat in there after seeing terminally ill family (elderly and children) or even lost family and need some quiet time to themselves!! The last thing they need is for young shift leaders or whoever he was to stand there raising his voice, shouting across the cafe, huffing and puffing while walking round and being rude to customers!!

Costas is what it is coffee and tea are fine but mostly everything else is over priced and not as good as they like to think it is lucky for them Starbucks is worse hey ho life goes on

As always good coffee, would have given 5* but the queue to get served was way to long. More staff needed at busy periods.

Nice but all their hot drinks, regardless of what they are, invariably give me "the runs". Shame!
